UPDATE:Two Southern California toddlers have been found safe after authorities located the car they"d been in when it was stolen.

The California highway patrol has activated an amber alert for toddlers in the Imperial, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and San Diego counties late Thursday.

At approximately 6:45 p.m. Thursday one-year old Jaden Cortez and two-year-old Carlos Cortez were abducted from Cathedral City in the process of a car theft.Police say the suspect is unknown. The car is a 2016 white Honda Accord. License plate 7TJR654 with tinted windows.

Jaden Cortez is a one-year old hispanic male, he"s 1"5"" tall, weighs 30 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white shirt and blue shorts.

Carlos Cortez is a 2-year old hispanic male, 2"0"" tall, weighs 40 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. His clothing is unknown.

If the toddlers arelocated call 911.

Amber Alert issued for missing Tennessee teenager

CNN: After 15 years, no justice for Amber Hagerman

A Tennessee statewide AMBER Alert has been issued by the TBI on behalf of the Maury County Sheriff"s Office for 15-year old Elizabeth Thomas. She is white, blonde hair, hazel eyes, 55 and 120 pounds, last seen wearing a flannel shirt and black leggings. She may be in the area of Decatur, Alabama.

Thomas is believed to be in the company of 50-year old Tad Cummins, white male, 60, 200 pounds, brown hair and eyes. He is believed to be armed with two handguns and driving a Silver Nissan Rogue, TN tag, 976-ZPT.

A warrant has been issued for Cummins for Sexual Contact with a Minor.

FULTON COUNTY, Ohio -- The father of a child who was the subject of an amber alert tuesday is in custody after the child"s mother was found dead.

The child, 10-month-old Winston Ramey, was found unharmed, according to reports from Fox 8.

WTOL in Toledoreported that Mandi Mangas, the child"s mother, was found shot to death insideher father"s home in Delta.

WANE in Fort Wayne, Indiana reported that James Ramey was taken into custody by Indiana State Police in Fulton County, Indiana.

The child had been last seen in Delta. The father was considered armed and dangerous.

COLUMBIA & RICHMOND Co., Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- It"s not all the time you"ll see an amber alert pop up on your phone . It"s even less frequent the amber alert is from your area, but that doesn"t mean less children are going missing or running away.

"They are reported everyday," said Daniel Gaston. "If we issued Amber alerts every time a child went missing your phone will be constantly going off."

That"s because in 2016 alone 555 runaways were reported in Richmond County, but the sheriffs office didn"t issue any Amber Alerts. Columbia County reported 122 runaways and missing people, mostly kids, but the county only issued one Amber Alert.

That alert was for Cahlah Wascow.

"That was a special circumstance. We knew who is taking that child we knew she was of abducted and we believe that she was in imminent danger," said Gaston.

They also had a tag description for the car and a description of her and her alleged abductor. All requirements to broadcast the alert nationwide.

"as a parent i understand that it"s frustrating not being able to do anything not knowing where your child is that. [...] But then again when the Amber alert the criteria set for certain reasons and part of that is if they were issued every single time society will become numb to that effect :56 he would get a response that you do with an Amber alert ," said Gaston.

DETROIT - An Amber Alert is in effect of an 11-month-old Detroit girl who police said was forcibly taken from her foster parent by her biological, noncustodial mother.

Savanna Wreford was last seen wearing a pink-and-white jacket and gray pants with flowers, police said. She was last seen at 3 p.m. Tuesday near I-94 and Moross Road in Detroit.

APD officer says motherly instinct kicked in during Amber Alert rescue

With big brown eyes, 9-month-old Ariana Smith looked up at Albuquerque Police officer Cathie Offret as she did everything she could to help the tired and confused baby.

The images are seen on lapel video released by the Albuquerque Police Department.

Arianahad been missing for hours Monday, prompting an Amber Alert across New Mexico.

According to investigators, Lieghraughnzo Benally, a man the infants mother had just met, allegedly sped off in the car with the baby inside. Deputies said he later ditched the car, and the little girl.

A couple spotted the stolen SUV in their driveway hours later with baby Ariana still inside.

Police can be heard in the lapel video gauging her body temperature at 102.8 degrees.

Officer Offret was the first to arrive, and can be seen immediately trying to cool the baby down with water from a water bottle, and taking off the babys onesie.

Offret, who has a 14-month-old at home, said it was instinct.

Just looking at her, I knew right away that something was wrong and that it was serious, said Offret.

Offret said she couldnt help but think of her own daughter, and how she would want someone to do everything they could to save her. Still, she admits she couldnt help but imagine the worst.

I just didn"t feel like she was going to be OK. The whole time I was petrified that she was going to die, said Offret.

Baby Ariana was rushed to the hospital, where doctors assured Offret the little girl was going to be just fine.

It was a relief to Offret, who rushed home to see her own baby.

I just held her and cried and rocked her. I was so relieved to see her, she said.

Offret said she went to check on Ariana the next day and was pleased to see her moving and laughing.
