Reese Witherspoon was tired of Oscar winners competing to play the girlfriend
Take one look at Reese Witherspoon"s Instagram and it will give you all sorts of July 4th goals for next year"s celebrations.
The Oscar winner shared an adorable photo of her son Tennessee, 3, smiling hard as he rocked a pair of star-shaped, America-themed sunglasses (with blue lenses, natch) while sitting next to his mom, who sported a floral, striped number paired with red, blue, and silver beaded necklacesand a red lip.
"Good "ol #RedWhiteAndBlue! (Post-nap festivities ) Hope you had a relaxing holiday, folks!! #FourthOfJuly," Witherspoon captioned the shot. Little Tennessee sprang back to life for some Fourth of July fun after getting in one serious nap earlier in the day, which Witherspoon couldn"t help but capture for the "gram as well. In the shot, the shirtless blonde tot sleeps on his grandmother"s arm in red-and-blue swim trunks, as she smiles at his side in aviator shades and an American flag scarf tied around her neck.

"Pre-BBQ nap with grandma. Hope y"all are enjoying the holiday! #July4th," the Draper James founder wrote. Prior to Tennessee"s nap, Witherspoon kicked off her Independence Day posting spree with a Boomerang shot that showed her waving a patriotic pinwheel and flashing a big smile in a red and white checkered shirt. "Happiest 4th of July, folks! #regram @draperjames," she wrote alongside it.
It"s clear she has some serious American pride.
