Veterans Day is Nov. 11 and many businesses and restaurants are honoring those who served their country with freebies, deals and discounts.
Here are some of the best offers for veteran and military personnel. Participation varies by location and most offers require military ID, check with your location before you go.

Applebee"s-Applebee"s will offer a complimentary meal to veterans on Nov. 11.
Back Yard Burgers -Back Yard Burgers is offering a free Back Yard Classic Burger on Nov. 11 for all active duty service members and veterans who show their military ID or are in uniform. Back Yard Burgers also offers a 20 percent discount to service men and women year-round.
Bar Louie Bar Louie will offer veterans and active military personnel a free app or entre on Nov. 11
Bonefish Grill All active and retired service members with valid military ID will receive a complimentary Bang Bang Shrimp at all Bonefish Grill locations on Nov. 11.

Chuck E Cheese- Current and former military personnel can gobble down a free personal pizza at Chuck E Cheese on Nov. 11.

Outback Steakhouse - Veterans and active duty personnel can get a free Bloomin" Onion and beverage on Nov. 11 and take 15 percent off the entire check from Nov. 12 to Dec. 31.
Red Lobster Red Lobster is offering a free appetizer or free desert to veterans, retired and active-duty military personnel on Nov. 10 and Nov. 11. Veterans, active-duty, retired or reservist military personnel only need to show a valid military ID or proof of service to redeem the offer.
Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews -Red Robin is offering all veterans and active duty military guests a free Red Tavern Double Burger with Bottomless Steak Fries on Nov. 11.
Texas Roadhouse- Texas Roadhouse is offering a free meal to veterans, military retirees and active duty service members on Nov. 11. Diners can choose from one of 10 entrees. Guests must show proof of service such as military or VA card, or discharge papers. The offer is good from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

Parks and recreation
Army Corp of Engineers Recreation Areas -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will waive day use fees for veterans, active and reserve service members, and their families on Nov. 11.
Birmingham Zoo All active and retired military veterans and their dependents will receive free admission on Nov. 11, 12 and 13.
LEGOLAND Florida Veterans get free admission Nov. 1-20, as well as 50 percent off tickets for up to six guests.
National Park Service - The National Park Service is waiving entrance fees for parks on Nov. 11. Active duty military members and their dependents can pick up a free military annual pass at any national park that usually charges a fee. A free lifetime pass is also available to disabled veterans. These passes provide free entrance to more than 2,000 national parks, wildlife refuges, national forests, and other federal recreational areas. More information about the passes can be found here.
Carmike Cinemas Carmike Cinemas is giving a free small popcorn with purchase of a ticket at the box office to anyone with a military ID on Veteran"s Day on Nov. 11. Also in honor of Veteran"s Day, on Friday Nov. 11, the first 100 customers who buy a ticket at the box office to see "Hacksaw Ridge" will receive an American Flag lapel pin on behalf of the film from Lionsgate.
Red Roof Inn - Red Roof Inn is offering 15 percent off stays in the month of November to veterans, active duty military and their families.

Bed Bath and Beyond - Veterans, active duty, Reserves, Guard and spouses get 25 percent off their entire purchase through Nov. 13.
Dollar General - Active duty service members, veterans and their families get an 11 percent discount on qualifying purchases on Nov. 11.
Great Clips -Great Clips is offering veterans a free hair cut from Nov. 11 through Dec. 31. Customers who come in for a service on Veterans Day get a free haircut card to give to veterans, redeemable through Dec. 31.
Home Depot- Home Depot is offering a free Build a Veteran"s Day Jet workshop for kids ages 5 -12. The event runs from 9 a.m. 12 p.m., and includes a craft, certificate of achievement, workshop apron, and commemorative pin while supplies last. Veterans also receive a 10 percent discounts on purchases.
JC Penney- JC Penney is offering a 5 percent discounts on Nov. 10-13 for current and former military personnel and their immediate family members with valid military or VA identification provided in-store. The discount maybe combined with additional coupons and special offers including a $10 off $25 coupon with any form of payment or 20 percent off coupon when paying with a JCPenney credit card.
Lowe"s Lowe"s is offering all veterans and their family 10 percent off purchases on Nov. 11.
Meineke - Veterans and active duty military will be eligible to receive a free Basic Oil Change at participating Meineke locations on Nov. 11.
Publix - Veterans, military personnel, and their families save 10 percent on groceries on Nov. 11.
Rack Room Shoes Rack Room Shoes is offering shoppers with valid military I.D. 10 percent off their purchase on Nov. 11.
Suburban Propane- Suburban Propane is offering military personnel families and retired military members a special Military Appreciation Savings promotion. Existing customers with military personnel in their family will get $20 off their next deliver of 100 gallons or more. Good for one delivery taken by March 31, 2017.
