Veterans Day: Soldiers Returning Home
The San Diego Union-Tribune is launching a new Guest Voices section.
It will featureopinion columns by outside writers, someof whom are San Diego military veterans. The pieces offer opinions on and analysis of issues facing the U.S. military and veterans nationally.
The first batch comes from a retired Navy SEAL officer, a San Diego State student veteran and a retired female Marine Corps officer who focuses onwomenin the military.
This section will also feature writers from the U.S. Naval Institute, a media partner ofthe Union-Tribune. The first Naval Institute guest piece is by a retired surface warfare officer in San Diego.
