Iman Shumpert Arrested for DUI Marijuana, Possession of Weed
Cleveland Cavaliers shooting guard Iman Shumpert is threatened to face a suspension after being charged with driving under the influence, possession of marijuana and failure to maintain his driving lane in Atlanta last month.
According to TMZ, apolice report revealed that Iman Shumpert was pulled over outside Atlanta for committing traffic violations. Unfortunately, the officers noticed Shumperts bloodshot eyes and found out that he smoked some weeds before leaving his friends house.
As the police searched inside his car, they found a mason jar with marijuana. There has been no date set for his trial but the Cleveland Cavaliers said that they already contacted Shumpert regarding the situation.

The NBA has typically suspended players two games for a first DUI conviction or guilty plea. With the trouble that Iman Shumpert is currently facing, the trade rumors surrounding him heated up.
Though the Cavaliers successfully won their first championship title, Iman Shumpert suffered his worst season averaging 5.8 points on 37 percent shooting. This gave the chance for J.R. Smith to be the starting shooting guard of the team last season.
With the hope of repeating as an NBA champion, the Cleveland Cavaliers are reportedly eyeing to upgrade their roster by trading for a quality rim protector.
Several opposing team executives told Amico Hoops earlier this summer the Cavs had called to explore potential trade packages centered on Shumpert, a 6-foot-5 reserve. Amico Hoops founder Sam Amico said.
The Cavaliers decided to give Iman Shumpert a four-year deal worth $40 million last summer but it seems like his recent performance didnt live up to expectations. Though the Cavaliers have not yet re-signed J.R. Smith, it is very likely that he will start over Shumpert.

In a suggested trade scenario made by Aaron Ferguson of King James Gospel, the Cleveland Cavaliers will be trading Iman Shumpert, Mo Williams, and a 2020 first-round pick for Nerlens Noel of Philadelphia 76ers. Noel is a quality rim protector that will best fit for the Cavaliers.
For the Sixers, trading one of their big men will be beneficial if they will get guards and a future first-round pick in return. As of now, the Cavaliers are expected to test the 2016-17 NBA season with Shumpert on their team but his name is still expected to be involved in various trade rumors before the deadline.
