The hype and excitement for "Hawaii Five-O" Season 7 have intensified now that its premiere is just a few days away. Fans are excited to see what is in store for the show when it returns on air, which is made more special with its 150th milestone episode happening in the upcoming season. But, a major character will not be around to celebrate the event.
Past and present
According to "Hawaii Five-O"Season 7 spoilers, the new episodes will feature the return of some familiar faces that might have a big impact on Steve McGarrett (Alex O"Loughlin). His ex, Catherine Rollins (Michelle Borth) is said to be dropping by. Her appearance may complicate matters in Steve"s life as he is now involved romantically with Lynn Downey (Sarah Carter).
The handsome detective will not have anything to worry about, however since the past and present women in his life will be coming back to "Hawaii Five-O" Season 7 for very different purposes. Rollins" return will not be to reignite their relationship but is purely for work.
EP Peter Lenkov emphasized in an interview that Rollins" return is plot driven rather than what it is being thought of by the fans of the former couple. He added that people are misinterpreting her return as coming back into the relationship and to start all over again, which is not. In fact, Lenkov closed the door on the relationship since he doesn"t think it will happen considering everything they have gone through.
Adam and Kono wedding
Lenkov however teased of another couplewho will be taking their relationship into another level in "Hawaii Five-O" Season 7. It was earlier reported that Adam (Ian Anthony Dale) will be released from prison and will finally marry Kono (Grace Park). There have even been talks of them starting a family together.
Lenkov revealed that their recent predicament has given them a much clearer perspective about their lives. In "Hawaii Five-O" Season 7, Adam and Kono are just trying to move on from the worst moment in their lives.
Danny will not be there
Meanwhile, Lenkov confirmed the rumors via Twitter that Scott Caanwill not be appearing in "Hawaii Five-O" episode 150 due to scheduling problems. The actor, who plays Danny in the series, has previously announced about his limited appearance in Season 7. He will just be in a number of episodes and unfortunately, the 150th episode is not one of them. Scott Caan has several projects lined up but is more popularly known for his role in the Ocean"s Eleven movie franchise.
All new "Hawaii Five-O" Season 7 episodes will start airing on September 23, Friday, on CBS.

Hawaii Five-0"s double-header finale is still weeks away, but fans can dive into the chaos with a series of advanced clips.
Coming straight from showrunner Peter Lenkov himself, the following teasers give Five-0fans a look at what exactly Kono (Grace Park), McGarrett (Alex O"Loughlin), Danny (Scott Caan), Chin (Daniel Dae Kim), and Grover (Chi McBride) will be up against in "Pa"a Ka "Ipuka I Ka "Upena Nananana (The Entrance Is Stopped With A Spider"s Web)" and "O Ke Ali"i Wale No Ka"u Makemake (My Desire Is Only For The Chief)."
The first hour will dive into the Gabriel storyline. In an interesting turn of events, Five-0 will find themselves protectingthe very man that"s made their last year a nightmare. When Gabriel"s enemies attack him in Chinatown, McGarrett"s team will have to get themselves - and the island"s most notorious criminal - out alive. Unfortunately for the city of Honolulu, this will mean commandeering another bus...

In the second hour, Danny and McGarrett will go undercover with drug runners to solve Oahu"s burgeoning meth problem. The mission will ultimately go sideways, and, unfortunately for Steve, an injury will cause Danno to break their cover in order to save him. Check out their new gig in the clip below:
While the pair seem in the clear in the sneak peek, Danny"s daughter will soon have a reason to frown.

Hawaii Five-0s season finale claimed one life and nearly took another.
As a dangerous batch of meth caused countless deaths across the island, the team is finally able to capture Gabriel (Christopher Sean), who eventually dies afterShiomas(MichelleKrusiec) thugs besiegeFive-0, preventing them from getting Gabriel to a hospital after he is shot.
In the wake ofGabrielsdeath,McGarrett(AlexOLoughlin) and Danny (ScottCaan) infiltratethe supplier, posing as pilots flying in a new shipment, butMcGarrettgets shot on the mission.Dannois able to land the planeand even donates his liver to help saveMcGarrett. ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: How do you thinkMcGarrettsnear-death experience will change him?PETER M.LENKOV:When somebody has a near-death experience, they start to reflect on their life, and I think that hes going to do that. Hes going to look back and say, Whats my legacy here? I almost died, and what do I have? Ive lost my father, Ive lost my mother, Ive lost the woman that Ive loved. He just starts to reflect on everything, the choices that hes made and looks for a reason to continue doing what hes doing. Thats going to play a little bit of a theme next year.McGarrettmay be being a little more aware of his mortality, and also his legacy of what am I going to leave behind?
What does this do to Danny, knowing he was ready to kill McGarretts shooter?Hes got that temper where you believe that he could do something like that. I think Danny probably would have done before he had kids and before he got married. Somebody hurt his family, somebody hurt somebody thats very close to him, so it took every ounce of restraint to not shoot him. If Danny didnt have a family, he would have just put a bullet through that guys eyes. Hes been humanized by the fact that he has this son and a daughter and an ex-wife. We played Danny early on in his career where he was a little more hotheaded. Adulthood, or even fatherhood, changed him and made him a more wellrounded human being.
With McGarretts life in danger, did you consider bringing Catherine (Michelle Borth) back for the finale?I did. I really did, and here was my dilemma: I brought her back in the finale last season, and I didnt want to replay that moment of him laying on his deathbed and her coming in, because it would feel very similar to last year, even though it was not a life-and-death situation, it wasKonos(Grace Park) wedding. It just would have felt like similar territory. I want to bring her back in a different way than what we did last year. To be honest with you, she was in the first draft of the script I wrote, but I ended up taking her out, because it just felt very similar to last season.
Do you expect to bring her back next season?I hope so. Yeah, hope so. Ill be honest with you, if I knew it was going to be the last season this year, she would have definitely been in the show, but because I knew it wasnt, and it just felt wrong, now I have the luxury of another 25 stories at least, so I can do it in a different way.
Why did you decide to kill of Gabriel?It felt like the right thing to do. First of all, the audience was probably going to expect something big to happen with Gabriel in the last episode. I wanted to do something unexpected, and I wanted to start an arc next year with a new villain. Sean is great; it had nothing to do with anything but the fact that it had just felt like we had done everything we could with the character, and I just wanted to move on. Everyone is going to miss him the same way we missed Wo-Fat.
Do you have thoughts on who the new villain is going to be next year?Yeah. Somebody very unexpected, I think.
Shioma disappeared in the finale, but is she coming back? Is she part of the big bad situation next season?No, shes not part of that, but definitely we have to [address her] at some point,because shes definitely out there in the wind.
Chin (DanielDaeKim) is facing the possibility of becoming the father of Gabriels daughter. Will you explore that next season?Yeah, that will be a big arc next year for sure what he does, and does he end up fighting for adoption?
With Chin dealing with possible fatherhood, do you think hes on his way to proposing to Abby (Julie Benz)?We start the season, [and hes] living with her. Its going in that direction for sure. I want these people to be happy, because theyve become my family, too. And the same way withKonoand Adam (Ian Anthony Dale) getting out of prison. I do want these people to be happy.
Konomakes the point that Adam will get out of prison in four months. Will that happen when the show returns?What youve got to remember isMcGarrettsrecovering, so Im going to start the season with him coming out of the hospital, so its going to be less than four months.
But do you see Adam coming out by next season?Yeah, for sure. We love Ian, so we want him back.
In the wake of what happened toMcGarrett,Konosaid a few things that made me suspect shes considering leaving Five-0. Is that a possibility?The theme of next year is everybody is weighing the legacy or what theyre doing and the affect that it has on their lives.Konosgone through some amazing trauma and her husband was taken away from her. A lot of it stems from her job. She would have probably never had met Adam if it wasnt for her job. Shes in that place of reflecting the choices shes made as well, the same way that Chin is looking at, Do I adopt this girl? Do I change her life, which ultimately is going to change mine? You get to a point where you start weighing everything, and you put things in a plus and minus column, and you say, Is it worth it? Thats really where I want the characters to be, where theyre really weighing the good that theyre doing.
Max (MasiOka) is heading to Doctors Without Borders. What does that mean about his future on the show?Right now, in my head, Im planning on him still being out there doing that for the first couple episodes and have him come back a little wiser, maybe a little more mature, making some decisions about his future. Someone like that who works with dead people all the time, I think their personality doesnt grow. Hes going to come back slightly changed and energized by what he did.
What didWo-Fatsfather really want fromMcGarrett? It didnt seem like he was just looking for forgiveness.Yeah, good, okay. [Laughs.]
Were you aiming for that to be ambiguous?Yeah, Im glad. [Laughs.]Its going to be a part of a story next year. Its something bigger in mind, but I had to plant it in there at the end. Danny says, He called you all the way there just to forgive you? Youre going to realize its more than what happened in that meeting. Its not likeMcGarrettshiding anything, its more whatWo-Fatsfather has in mind.
Hawaii Five-0is slated to return to CBS in the fall.
