Miley and Liam – Teen Vogue Cover Shoot
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have brought in a new wave of relationship rumors along with the new year after being snapped partying together at Byron Bay Falls music festival.
The pair, who were perviously engaged before calling their relationship off in "13, have remained amicable since their split, but pics of the pair appearing to cosy up to each other have fuelled some shippers hopes that the pair have got back together again on the sly.
Although it"s unclear if Liam has his arm around Miley in the picture above, this gesture of affection wouldn"t be out of place if these guys were nothing but firm friends.
After all, Miley helped Liam find his perfect pooch recently and Hemsworth has spoken out about his ex in glowing terms after being asked if he thought he "dodged a bullet" by not marrying Miley by Men"s Fitness magazine. He told the publication that:
"I mean, look-we were together five years, so I don"t think those feelings will ever change. And that"s good because that proves to me that it was real. It wasn"t just a fling. It really was an important part of my life and always will be," he told Men"s Fitness. She"s a free spirit. I think she"ll always surprise people with what she does, but she"s not a malicious person in any way. She"s a young girl who wants to do what she wants to do."
And, it"s not just all one-sided, Miley also spoke out respectfully about the end of their relationship on the Ellen show shortly after her breakup to the Aussie Hunger Games star:
Although the pictures don"t prove much, some people Down Under seem to think they spotted something a little more friendly than a platonic embrace. An anonymous source for The Gold Coast Bulletin whispered that:
"They were absolutely back on they were hugging and kissing, it was full on. There was a lot of affection."Although it"s traditional for couples ring in new year with a passionate lip lock to drag them into an exciting new 365 days together, we"ll just have to wait and see if Miley and Liam announce that they are a thing again...
One thing"s for sure, any force that keeps Miley away from The Flaming Lips"s Wayne Coyne during party season could be one to be reckoned with!
