Zlatan Ibrahimovic Post-Match Interview - Manchester United 3-0 Saint Etienne
Pogba sends his free kick wide left, and thats the final act of the game. A slightly strange match. United deserved to win it, no doubt, but Saint-tienne probably didnt deserve to be on the end of a 3-0 scoreline that in all likelihood has put them out and sent their opponents into the last 16. Thing is, though, theyve just never had an answer to that Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Nighty night!

Juan Mata and Ashley Young have been attempting to inject life back into Manchester United after their incredibly dull 0-0 draw with Liverpool at Anfield.
The two midfielders got their hands on a pair of white sandals at United"s training ground on Tuesday and proceeded to mock the owner of the questionable footwear, who they eventually revealed to be Eric Bailly.
Mata and Young both took to Instagram to ask their fans to guess the culprit, and two names popped up more than most.

Bailly"s sense to sniff out danger in defence is much stronger than his fashion sense
Mata was an unused substitute in his side"s draw at Anfield while Young started the match
Messrs Bailly and Paul Pogba were both regularly suggested by fans in the comments section, and it was later revealed by Mata that the Ivorian defender was the fashion offender.
Mischief maker Young started his first league game for Manchester United since January at Anfield on Monday and played his part in helping Jose Mourinho"s men disrupt and stifle an in-form Liverpool.
Young"s partner in crime Mata was an unused substitute during the clash between two of English football"s biggest heavyweights and will be hoping to see some action against Fenerbahce on Thursday.
Jose Mourinho has dropped Mata for his side"s two biggest games of the season so far
The Spaniard has surprisingly been an integral figure to United under Mourinho so far but the Portuguese has seen fit to drop him from his side"s two biggest games of the season.
As well as being dropped for the clash at Anfield, Mata was also an unused substitute when the Red Devils were beaten 2-1 by Manchester City at Old Trafford earlier in the season.
FOOTBALL WORLD REACTS TO: Liverpool vs Manchester United 0-0 (ARGHHHH MY EYESSS)
Valencia starlet Fran Villalba is set to snub interest from Manchester United in order to sign a new contract with the Mestalla club, MirrorFootball can reveal.
The teen star made his debut under Gary Neville last season and is considered one of Spain"s brightest young talents, but was considering leaving the club after his agent Vicente Fores revealed contact had been made by the Old Trafford outfit.
Fores told Sport Witness last week: "With me [contact has been made]. Just a contact to know his situation. Theyre already aware.
"I dont know about Valencia. But I reckon they will make it hard. We"ve just started talking. Its up to United."
Villalba was available for 3.6million due to a clause in his contract but sources close to the situation have since spoken of a warming of relations between the club and player and the 18-year-old midfielder is now expected to sign a new deal with vastly-improved terms and a greater release clause.
Villalba played some first-team minutes under Gary Neville last yearThe teen featured in the Copa del Rey semi-final
The Spanish Under-19 international is a Valencia native and his family believe he will be better served by remaining with his hometown club and progressing into the first team.
While United do look set to miss out on the diminutive playmaker, the club are continuing to cast the net wide as they ramp up their recruitment drive.
United have appointed 50 new scouts in 2016 in a bid to help them secure the world"s best young talent.
Ed Woodward has looked to improve United"s recruitment unitMarcel Bout is now playing a key role in the club"s global scouting setup
United"s academy is famed for producing some of the club"s best ever players, and Old Trafford chiefs are determined to ensure that river of young stars does not dry up.
Under the previous system, a small group of first team scouts reported directly to the manager while academy scouts were part of a separate team but executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has now changed that system bringing all scouts under the same management.
While some of Louis van Gaal"s scouts have lost their jobs, one has been promoted under Jose Mourinho.
Marcel Bout, previously Van Gaal"s opposition scout, is now the global head of scouting.
Manchester United 4-1 Leicester - Jose Mourinho Full Post Match Press Conference
Jose Mourinho needs to take a leaf from the book of... Neil Warnock .
The man affectionately dubbed Colin by his players you can work out the anagram with the rest of the letters in his name always had a player or two who he took with him to every club.
A player who would gauge the mood of the dressing room and report back to him at the times when the temperature was rising.
A player, who not only kept his manager abreast of the feelings in the camp, but a plater who would have the respect of the rest of the boys as well.
Someone who could tell them: Look, dont worry that he has just dug you out, thats his way of keeping you on your toes and, trust me, hes doing it for your benefit and the benefit of the group.
Mourinho needs a player in his squad that can report back to him about dressing room morale
Neil told me this in a conversation once, he explained those benefits, and you could understand why it did work for him.
More to the point, it would work for Mourinho at Manchester United , too, if he had a Clint Hill, Paddy Kenny or Sean Derry of his own.
Some of you might think Zlatan Ibrahimovic was brought to Old Trafford to do just that. Well, that and score a few goals.
The pair have never made any secret of their admiration for each other from the time they spent together at Inter Milan and Ibrahimovic is always going to praise his gaffers virtues.
Mourinho and Zlatan have a good relationship
But while he might help out from time to time, ultimately Zlatan will always be about Zlatan and a manager needs someone who is all about the bigger picture.
So, when Mourinho has let rip and he has done a couple of times in the past few weeks, first with Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Jesse Lingard, then Luke Shaw there hasnt seemed to be anyone putting an arm round those he has targeted.
Or reporting back to the manager and telling him to rein it in if it hasnt gone down well with the players.
You need lieutenants in the dressing room and one or two people on your backroom staff who will allow you to get a good cop, bad cop thing going.
Luke Shaw came in for criticism for his performance against Watford
A John Robertson type he was so good at that for Martin ONeill.
If Mourinho is going to go on and beat the likes of Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp these hungrier, younger managers then he needs to address that and start boxing a little bit clever.
He needs to stop making it look like, Its all about me, Im the boss, Im the Special One, because that style is dying a little bit.
Mourinho"s style is dying a bit
Or, at least, it appears to be showing a few cracks.
Because when he starts to curl his lip and you can see it in his eyes when they start to go as well he begins to look aggressive and that is never a good sign.
It started to happen at Chelsea fairly early on and, ultimately, that could be a worry at United.

Radioverslag: Vilhena schiet Feyenoord naar de 1-0 zege op Manchester United
A former Manchester United steward has been jailed for a minimum of 24 years for the Islamic State-inspired murder of a gentle, well-respected former imam in Rochdale.
Mohammed Syeedy, 21, was found guilty of helping to kill Jalal Uddin because the 71-year-old practised a form of Islamic spiritual healing considered to be black magic by some extremists.
On hearing the jurys verdict, Syeedy put his head in his hands and shook it in disbelief. In the public gallery, his family gasped and sobbed.
Members of Uddins family, who travelled from Bangladesh to attend the three-week trial, hugged and cried after Syeedy was led away.
The murder has alarmed counter-terrorism experts, who fear that homegrown extremists are increasingly targeting fellow Muslims whom they view as heretics.
Uddin was bludgeoned to death with a hammer on his way home from a mosque in Rochdale on 18 February. He was attacked with repeated, forceful blows from behind after having been under surveillance by his killers for months, the trial at Manchester crown court was told.

The judge, Sir David Maddison, said he did not believe the intention was to kill Uddin, but to cause extremely grave and permanently disabling harm so that he was unable to practise Islamic healing ever again.
Syeedy played an absolutely integral part in the murder, the judge said, describing the killing as a carefully planned, premeditated attack on a vulnerable victim.
Describing Uddin as gentle, well-respected, the judge said the brutal killing was a hate crime but did not match the sentencing threshold of a religiously motivated murder, which carries a minimum term of 30 years imprisonment.
It seems to me that this was a case of two members of the Muslim faith killing another member of the Muslim faith solely because they disapproved of a particular practice carried out by that person, Maddison said.
Jurors were told that Syeedy and his alleged accomplice, Mohammed Abdul Kadir, stalked Uddin around the streets of Rochdale before Kadir launched the attack on the older man in a childrens playground.
Syeedy, the getaway driver, denied knowing about the murder plot.
Kadir, a former John Lewis call centre worker, was not on trial because he fled to Istanbul three days after the murder. Counter-terrorism detectives are hunting for the 24-year-old, but believe he may have crossed the border into Syria to join Isis.
Syeedy and Kadir, from Rochdale and Oldham respectively, developed a hatred of Uddin last summer after discovering he practised a form of Islamic healing called taweez, the court was told.
Uddin moved to Rochdale 15 years ago from Bangladesh. The former imam was well known in the area for his use of healing amulets to ward off ill health and protect people from evil spirits.
Uddins friends warned that the killing had left an open wound in Rochdales Muslim community, as his family paid tribute to a greatly respected man, a caring and loving soul.
Uddins relatives said they had been left empty by his murder in a statement released by police.
We came to court to seek answers from Mohammed Hassan Syeedy. He has shown no remorse or sympathy towards Jalal or his family, as indicative of his attitude and demeanour throughout the last four weeks, the family said.
Although Jalal was a Muslim who peacefully practised his faith, he had a love and respect for all religions, cultures and creeds, and the fact that he was murdered by someone inspired by Isil shows the true nature and barbarity of this organisation and those who serve it.
In a victim impact statement read to court, one of Uddins seven children, Sala al-Arif, said his father told him two days before he died that he planned later this year to return to Bangladesh for the first time in 15 years to see his wife, children and grandchildren.
Instead, he said, his relatives have been left with an everlasting void. Al-Arif said that when he visited his fathers body in the mortuary he was denied the most basic human right to kiss his fathers face because of the horrific injuries he had suffered.
Describing his father as a devout pacifist who showed nothing but love to anyone he came across, Al-Arif said Uddins relatives had been left without answers as to why he was targeted: I cannot begin to understand why anyone would want to murder him. This is the ultimate question for me and my family: why was my father murdered?
Jurors were told that Syeedy and Kadir, who were not known to the police, believed Uddins use of taweez was black magic and that he deserved to be killed.
Uddin, known as the Qari Saab by his followers for his deep understanding of the Quran, was mocked as a magician by Syeedy and his friends, who nicknamed him Voldemort after the evil wizard in the Harry Potter books.
Six months before the murder, Syeedy and his friends destroyed Uddins notes and books on taweez after stealing them from their mosque. They then started monitoring Uddins whereabouts, taking covert pictures of him in the street, as they plotted to have the community leader deported by immigration services.
But that plan was abandoned after a photograph emerged of Uddin with the Rochdale MP, Simon Danczuk, outside the Jalalia mosque in December last year. One of Syeedys friends shared the photograph and commented: Oh c**p ... voldermort nvr gna b busted by immigration now.
When detectives arrested Syeedy five days after the murder, they found gruesome footage on his phone of Uddin dying, along with reams of Isis propaganda.
Jurors were shown photographs of Syeedy holding an Isis-style flag outside the Jalalia mosque. In another image, he wore a stabproof vest outside the mosque.
Other photographs showed Syeedy and two people holding a jihadi flag over a road sign in Rochdale that had been altered to read: War zone.
Detectives also found a black, Isis-style baseball cap, arm patches and a flag in Syeedys home, where he lived with his mother, younger sister and younger brother.
Paul Greaney QC, prosecuting, told the court that Syeedy had been drawn in by Isis propaganda surrounding the Syrian war over a period of three years.
In 2013, he travelled to Syria on a medical aid convoy at around the same time that Alan Henning, the murdered Salford taxi driver, went on a similar Rochdale to Syria trip, the trial heard.
Syeedy told the court he was friendly with Henning and was disgusted when he heard that the 47-year-old had been beheaded by an Isis militant who was revealed last year to be Londoner Mohammed Emwazi.
Det Ch Supt Tony Mole, head of the north-west counterterrorism unit, said: This has been a long and delicate investigation, with detectives working meticulously to establish exactly what happened to Jalal and I want to thank them for their work.
I would also like to thank the local community for the patience and support they have shown us. Their assistance and understanding has been vital and they have been a credit to Rochdale.
I hope the outcome here today will bring some closure to Jalals family and help them continue to rebuild their lives following their tragic loss.
One of Uddins friends, Mohammed Shafiq, chief executive of the Ramadhan Foundation charity, urged the Rochdale community to come together or we may see such tragedies again.
He added: It is beyond doubt that these young minds are being brainwashed and groomed online, they have no engagement or involvement with any of the mosques and these institutions are failing young Muslims.
Giving evidence, Syeedy denied knowing anything about Uddins murder, but admitted he was with Kadir before and after the attack.
He said he never suspected that his friend, whom he knew was an Isis sympathiser, had killed Uddin, even though the former imam was found dead moments after Kadir left the playground.
Syeedy, an electrical engineering student who dropped out of university, denied being an Isis supporter and described the groups actions as completely wrong.
He told jurors he did not agree with Uddins use of taweez because it was dangerous to meddle with the supernatural world, but that it was up to G*d to deliver the punishment. This is my country, I abide by the laws, he told the jury.

It"s been missing since Cristiano Ronaldo left and a long time coming but last night Old Trafford finally saw the return of the WOW Factor.
Once synonymous with dazzling stars like Eric Cantona, David Beckham and Ronaldo, many believe Manchester United lost their way in the latter days of Sir Alex Ferguson"s reign as the very top drawer players evaded them.
And maybe Wayne Rooney excepted - they"ve certainly been in a super-star free zone since Fergie unplugged his hairdryer.
If any club have thrived on having true superstars in their ranks it"s been United.
And for the first time in years one look at the team-sheet for Friday"s clash with Southampton sent pulses racing amongst United fans.

United fans don"t just want entertainment - they demand it.
And finally the Theatre of Dreams once again crackled with the anticipation of great days and nights to come.
With Jose Mourinho taking charge of United for the first time at home the Galacticos he"s assembled this summer delivered the stardust the fans have been crying out for.
Even before kick-off when the PA announcer ran through United"s line-up the roof came off Old Trafford especially when he got to 89 million debutant Paul Pogba and new darling Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Chuck in arguably the best keeper in the world in David de Gea, the potential of defender Eric Bailly and French striker Anthony Martial and it"s no wonder the juices are flowing again in the red half of Manchester.
Mourinho just loves star quality and he"s spent the summer making sure United"s dressing room is jammed with big names.
Ibrahimovic is already on the way to achieving legendary status. Many more nights like this and it won"t be long coming.

Paul Pogba may be the name on everyone"s lips as far as Manchester United are concerned, but another piece of business they have done this summer could turn out to be the most important.
It speaks for the state of the transfer market that 30million can be described as a fraction of a fee. For Eric Bailly, a player with less than 50 top-flight appearances to his name, it may be to his benefit that his arrival flew somewhat under the radar. Being followed by Zlatan Ibrahimovic and shortly after by Pogba tends to do that to a player.
On Sunday, however, Bailly showed why Jose Mourinho singled him out as the man to start to fix his broken defence.

The days of Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic patrolling the pitch at Old Trafford are long gone, and the reality is that United have struggled to come close to replacing them. Even before they departed they were a shade of their former selves under David Moyes.
Enter Bailly. He represents the first major investment in a central defender since Sir Alex Ferguson left. The quality that shone through against Leicester made it seem worthwhile.
Claudio Ranieri"s side have taken a few blows this summer but they still possess Jamie Vardy, who by any measure was one of the top strikers in the world last season.
Manchester United have struggled defensively since Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic left
The 22-year-old Bailly handled Jamie Vardy well, taking him down when necessary
They tried to use him to their full advantage on Sunday. Vardy chased and harried. Wembley"s giant pitch gave him the space behind the defence that he thrives on, the yards he needs to get up to full pace.
Bailly dealt with it. There were moments when the 22-year-old looked to have been out-thought by Vardy. The striker would find a pocket and someone would pick him out. Inevitably, the former Villarreal man would stop him.
It came down to his ability to read the striker"s next move and react. Vardy twice got the ball in his favoured position on the left-hand side of the box, and twice Bailly timed his tackle to perfection to win back the ball.
There was another, more symbolic, moment. Kasper Schmeichel launched a counter-attack, placing the ball for Vardy to chase. The referee blew up for an earlier foul, but at the other end of the pitch neither Vardy nor Bailly knew. Vardy did his usual act, fighting for the ball, nipping at the defender"s heels. Bailly bounced him away with his shoulder, drawing a huge cheer from the United end.
A notable moment saw Bailly shove Vardy off the ball with his shoulder with consummate ease
The performance followed up what Bailly had been doing throughout pre-season. Against Galatasaray he often made up for the struggles of other defenders, mopping up when the opposition had broken past his partners. Daley Blind was the beneficiary, Bailly reacting quickly to stop an attacker after the Dutch defender had been turned.
That 30m fee is symbolic for another reason beyond Pogba. It"s the same amount United paid for Ferdinand when they signed him from Leeds in the summer of 2002.
Bailly"s style immediately brings to mind the former England captain. It"s calm and collected. He is not about the blood and guts but more a reader of the game. There"s a natural style to his defending that speaks for an innate talent.
Bailly showed the ability to beat Vardy to the ball, using the touch of pace he possesses
Like Ferdinand, he is also comfortable on the ball. To an extent, he seems like the defender everyone thinks John Stones may one day be. To have snapped him up for 20m less than Stones may eventually cost is a real positive for Mourinho.
Ferdinand"s arrival brought a league title, but it would be hard for Bailly to inspire the same in his first season. After all, there"s a lack of defensive quality at Old Trafford. That is probably best symbolised by Mourinho"s reliance on Blind over pre-season in the face of Chris Smalling"s injury.
However, the Ivorian looks like he could be the first step in fixing a defence that has needed the repairs for years. More needs to follow, but Pogba will almost certainly be grateful for the signing the first time Bailly mops up behind him.
The Ivorian could be the first step that United take to turn around their defensive issues

Arsne Wenger has confirmed that he blocked Manchester Uniteds loan move for Mathieu Debuchy in January and the Arsenal manager expressed his surprise that the Old Trafford club should even have tried.
Debuchy, who has been supplanted by Hctor Bellern in the right-back position at Arsenal, was desperate for regular football over the second-half of the season, with a view to forcing his way into Didier Deschamps France squad for the Euro 2016 finals and he ended up joining Bordeaux on loan.
But he admitted earlier in the week that it would have been magnificent if he had been allowed to join United, who made a late bid to take him from the Emirates Stadium until the end of the season.
Wenger did not entertain the notion of one of his players moving to Old Trafford, having previously stood in the way of Thomas Vermaelens proposed transfer there in the summer of 2014. Vermaelen would sign, instead, for Barcelona.
I hope thats not surprising to you, Wenger said of his decision to prevent Debuchy from joining United. Its true. I stand up for that. There was nothing shocking in that.
If Man United wants to buy a player you loan players out to clubs who do not have the resources but not to direct opponents. I was surprised, yes [that United tried]. I can understand it but I found it logical [to block the loan].
Debuchy told Canal+: I was disappointed, obviously. If I had the chance to go to Manchester United it would have been magnificent. Unfortunately, it wasnt the case. I discussed it with the coach, too, who said that obviously he couldnt help out a rival.
Yes, Im a little bit annoyed with him. Its his choice. I had a good pre-season. He said that I would have game time and that we would discuss it in December. Unfortunately, I didnt have this game time.
Wenger is preparing for Saturdays FA Cup visit of Hull City Arsenal are facing Steve Bruces team for the third season in succession, having beaten them in the 2014 final and the third round last time out and he spoke about his affection for the old competition. He joked that after all of these years, he had been very conservatively English and he wants its traditions to endure. He said, for example, that he was against the scrapping of cup replays.
I am quite a bit nervous about changing the rules because I like them now, Wenger said. It looks like we always get more money and want to play less games. That is a little bit of a contradiction.
Next season, we have even more money coming in, so every single club will have 25 top-level players. I am convinced all of the clubs can compete with the number of games we have to play, so there is no real need to change the rules. This is the most traditional competition in England, so lets respect it and keep it as it is.
Wenger has won the FA Cup six times and Saturdays tie will be his 100th in it. His association with the competition goes back to his childhood. The first game on television I ever saw in France was an FA Cup game, he said. We had no television and we had to go to school, where we had a black-and-white screen, and we could watch the FA Cup final.
At that time, I could never imagine I would play 100 FA Cup games. It is a privilege, because 100 is quite a big number and we have done well in the FA Cup most of the time. I want to defend my record tomorrow.
I dont remember the teams in that first final I watched. I was too young. Its funny because I had an interview yesterday with some people from the FA and they asked me about the history of the English game. The first real players I remember are the 1966 players Bobby Charlton, Bobby Moore, Stiles, Hurst, all these players.
Before that, I was nine or 10 years old when I saw some FA Cup finals. But I dont remember which teams played. It might have been Tottenham but Im not sure about that!

Cole to MLS
Ashley Cole closing on LA Galaxy move
Ashley Cole is closing on a move to join Steven Gerrard in MLS with LA Galaxy.
Cole, 35, has endured a torrid season with Roma, barely figuring for Rudi Garcias Giallorossi.
The ex-England defender never really recovered from a mauling by Arjen Robben and is unwanted in Rome - losing his squad number to summer signing Lucas Digne.
Now the FA Cups most decorated player looks set to head Stateside to continue his career.
Bruce Arena, LA Galaxy boss, declined to comment on direct speculation on Monday, before declaring suggestions that the player could be joining the 2014 MLS champs as fairly accurate.
Galaxy have already moved on key pair Omar Gonzalez and Juninho to part-fund Coles wage demands.
Tuesday"s transfer round up
Arsenal will need to splash the cash for Brozovic
Arsenal will need to spend 25million (18.4m) to take Marcelo Brozovic from Inter Milan.
Theyve been heavily-linked with the Croatian international, who has impressed with the Nerazzurri this term.
Roberto Mancini wont want to cash in, but he knows he needs to partly generate his own funds at San Siro, if he wants to build his squad next month.

Selling Hernandez a "mistake" - Ray Wilkins
Ex-Man United and England midfielder Ray Wilkins says his former club should NOT have sold striker Javier Hernandez.
The Mexican didnt fit manager Louis van Gaals requirements, and after being loaned to Real Madrid last term, was shipped off to Bayer Leverkusen on a permanent deal in August.
Hes since been in terrific form in the Bundesliga, while United have struggled for goals.
I dont quite understand how this guys playing outside this country, Wilkins told talkSPORT.
He was a snip at 8m-10m, 27 years of age, should not have been allowed to leave because hes too talented.
Arsenal have been linked with a move for the Mexican in January, but Mirror Sport believes Bayer Leverkusen will resist any bids for their top scorer, despite their Champions League elimination.
Patrick Bamford
Bamford in demand after ending loan spell
Patrick Bamford called time on his loan spell at Crystal Palace on Monday.
The England under-21 international has failed to make an impression at Selhurst Park under Alan Pardew, and after playing 45 minutes against Swansea on Monday, made the decision to return to parent club Chelsea.
This was my last game for Palace, Bamford announced. It was my decision.
The coaches have just found out I have told them I am going.
If I were being honest, it has been terrible. No one wants to sit on the bench and not play. Obviously things havent worked out for whatever reason.
I would have been more content if I had been given a chance and not taken it. I havent started a game in the Premier League, so for a young player like me that is not what you need. For my development, it is crucial that I play games.
I have got to be open to all options. Ideally I want to stay in the Premier League, and there are a few options to stay, so now it is about assessing which is best and we will go from there.
Hes not expected to be back with the Blues too long however, with another loan deal expected.
A host of Championship sides have already made their interest known, with Middlesbrough - where Bamford shone last season - expected to lead the chase.
After his time at Palace, Premier League clubs may be more wary.
Gerrard
United need experienced striker - Gerrard
My players are fighting for me declared Louis van Gaal after his Man United side drew 0-0 with Chelsea on Monday evening.
But according to ex-Liverpool and England skipper Steven Gerrard, the Dutchman needs more in January - namely an experienced goalscorer.
Manchester United still need something for me, he told BT Sport.
I think they need an extra striker because theres still too much pressure on Wayne Rooney.
Martial is very young, Depay is very young, I think they need an extra striker to come and help Wayne Rooney with the goal burden.
United sold Robin van Persie and Javier Hernandez in the summer, while James Wilson has since been allowed to join Brighton on loan.
Fabregas
Cesc to leave Chelsea?
Cesc Fabregas is wanted by AC Milan and Juventus, according to reports in Italy.
Corriere dello Sport claims the Spaniard wants to quit Stamford Bridge after a poor season has seen him targetted by Chelsea fans.
The Serie A clubs tried to sign Fabregas when he left Arsenal for Barcelona in 2011 and the 28-year-old will now cost around 18m.
The speculation about Fabregas future comes shortly after he claimed he enjoyed an exceptionally good relationship with former Blues boss Jose Mourinho, following reports the pair had fallen out.
Neymar
Brazil skipper aware of interest
2015 has been a terrific year to be Neymar.
A treble winner with Barcelona last season, two more trophies this, shortlisted for the Ballon dOr and having completed his transition from scintillating virtuoso act into bona-fide world class match-winner, the Brazil captains future looks perhaps brighter than anyone else around.
As such, its little wonder the games elite are keeping tabs - with Manchester City the latest to be linked, (with a player who also sits on Uniteds most wanted list).
Asked about interest on his return to Barca after his mid-season break, Neymar declared himself aware, brushing off speculation with a Yes, yes.
Neymar, 23, is currently in talks with Barca over a new deal - his current contract expires in 2018.
Felipe Anderson
First up - Manchester United
According to Italian newspaper La Repubblica, Manchester Uniteds quest for more pep in their attack will see them strike for Felipe Anderson in January.
The Brazilian, 22, was on the clubs summer hitlist, but Lazio were asking for 45million.
However, the Roman clubs season hasnt gone to plan this term - theyre off the pace in the race for Italys top three, while they were also knocked out of the Champions League at the play-off phase, before the group stage.
Now they could reportedly be tempted to cash in on their prize asset. With Uniteds attacking woes, could they splash the cash?
