Roanoke woman wins $100000 VA Lottery prize

From the Virginia Lottery: Crystal Payne was anxious to check the Lottery numbers because there was a high Powerball jackpot. It turns out the Roanoke woman did not hit the Powerball jackpot. Instead, she discovered shed won $100,000 in the Virginia Lotterys $1,000,000 Money Ball game. I thought, This doesnt look right because it looks like my numbers! she said as she claimed her prize. She matched all five numbers in the January 24 drawing. She bought the winning ticket at Roanoke Tobacco, 3660 Colonial Avenue in Roanoke. She selected her numbers using family birthdays. The winning numbers were 2-4-8-10-26. The Gold Million Dollar Money Ball did not come up in that drawing. If it had, the top prize would have increased to $1 million. Ms. Payne said she has no plans for her winnings except to pay bills, and possibly take a trip somewhere.

J. Prince Disses Diddy, Lil Wayne and Suge Knight on 'Courtesy' Song

Whats beef? Rap-a-Lot Records founder J. Prince issues a warning shot to Diddy for putting his hands on Drake last December in Miami with a courtesy call.

If you recall, Diddy beat up Drizzy inside a nightclub for stealing the 0 to 100 beat from him. The violent incident put the Toronto rhymer in the hospital with a dislocated shoulder. Although both men have never commented on the matter, it looks like it was resolved.

But in an audio recording obtained by TMZ, J. Prince, whose real name is James Prince, gives the Bad Boy Records CEO a stern warning not to touch Drake ever again.

Let me put these bully n-s on notice, by letting them know that Drake is family, he says on the song. Puffy feeling like he can put his hands on my family, opens the doors for his family to be touched. You reap what you sow.

J. Prince also goes in on Lil Wayne and his manager Cortez Bryant, calling him a drunk. He also calls Suge Knight Suga Bear. Of course, Knight is going through his own legal problems right now so dont expect him to respond.

Clearly, this is an unusual diss song and it may be a little dated.

So far, Diddy and Weezy havent responded to J. Princes verbal slap.

Russian Ballet Dancer Sergei Polunin Beautifully Slays Hozier's 'Take Me To ...

Russian ballet dancer Sergei Polunin performs a stunning visual interpretation of Hoziers Take Me To Church, and its chillingly beautiful.

In a sunlit white room, the 25-year-old former British Royal Ballet principal dancer took over the floor like a man possessed in a series of pirouettes, sauts and tombs creating a somewhat dark and spiritual theme with Hoziers bluesy hit as the milieu.

Performing in n**e tights and a cluster of tattoos, the four-minute video showcases Polunins raw and expressive skills, which perfectly parallels the songs gripping catharsis.

Polunin trained at a gymnastics academy from the age of four to eight, before moving onto the Kyiv State Choreographic Institute and joining the British Royal Ballet School at 13.

Notoriously tricky to work with and known as the bad boy of ballet, Polunin is currently a principal dancer with Moscows Stanislavsky Music Theatre and Russias Novosibirsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre.

The atmospheric video was directed by David LaChapelle with choreography by Jade Hale-Christofi.

Hall of Fame basketball coach Jerry Tarkanian dies at age 84

Hall of Fame basketball coach Jerry Tarkanian, who led the UNLV Runnin Rebels to a national title, died Wednesday. He was 84.

His son, Danny Tarkanian, said on Twitter:

Coach Tark, my father, the greatest man I have ever known, passed today, to take his place in heaven. I will miss him every day of my life.

Tarkanian had been in a Las Vegas hospital since Monday night after experiencing breathing difficulties and an infection. The Naismith Hall of Famer was transported by ambulance to Valley Hospital Medical Center from his home after his blood oxygen levels dropped.

The towel-chewing coach, known as Tark the Shark, finished his career with 729 wins across all levels.

Tarkanian guided three schools to the NCAA tournament and posted a 729-201 career record in 31 years at the Division I level. His UNLV team won the national championship in 1990 and he compiled a 509-105 record at the school in 19 seasons.

Tarkanians teams were known for their fast-paced style that often led to blowouts. His Runnin Rebels defeated Duke 103-73 in the 1990 NCAA title game.

Tarkanian began his Division I coaching career at Long Beach State and ended his career at Fresno State, where Tarkanian himself played in 1954 and 1955. Only twice did his teams fail to win at least 20 games in a season.

Tarkanian was hired as head coach at Long Beach state in 1968 before coaching UNLV from 1973-92, resigning when the program ran into trouble with the NCAA. He coached the San Antonio Spurs for the first 20 games of the 1992 season before being fired. He coached at Fresno State from 1995 to 2002.

Tarkanian collected a $2.5 million settlement after suing the NCAA for trying to run him out of college basketball. In 2013, he was elected to the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame.

Since his retirement in 2002, Tarkanian dealt with several health-related issues, including pneumonia in November and a second heart attack last April.

Tarkanians passing comes days after legendary North Carolina coach Dean Smith died Saturday night in Chapel Hill, N.C., at age 83.

Its another sad day for those who love college basketball and the people who have contributed so much to our game, North Carolina coach Roy Williams said in a statement Wednesday. Tark was a great coach, better than people gave him credit for, and he loved college basketball.

Bobbi Kristina tragedy: Who will inherit Whitney Houston's estate?

Bobbi Kristina Brownis the sole heir of her mother Whitney Houston's estate, which is estimated to be worth $20 million.

The 21-year-oldhas been in a medically induced comasince Jan. 31, and some reports now say her family plans to take her off of life supporton the third anniversary of her mother's death, which is Wednesday.

According to the terms of the will, if Bobbi Kristinadies, family matriarch Cissy Houston and her two sonsare next in line to inherit theestate -- which includes full royalties from the late singer's music, likeness and image.

Bobbi Kristina inherited 10 percent (about $2 million) when she turned 21 and was scheduled to inherit another 15 percent at age25, before receivingthe remainder at30.

The will, which was posted online by RadarOnline, states that CissyHouston and Whitney Houston's two brothers-- Michael and Gary -- inherit the estate if Bobbi Kristina dies before coming into her majority of the estate.

One thing is certain: Whitney Houston's ex-husband and Bobbi Kristina's father, Bobby Brown, does not stand to get any of the money.

"Bobby Brown's time to contest anything would have been at the time of Whitney's death,"says Shirley Whitenack, an estate planning attorney with Schenck, Price, Smith & King in Morristown, who did not handle the Houston estate. "He doesn't have any claim just by virtue of having been married to her."

The pairwere married for 14 years. Their2007 divorce nullified Brown'sclaim to her estate. It seems unlikely, too, thatBobbi Kristina's longtime beau, Nick Gordon, will get any share of the funds.

Whitney Houston appointed her mother as executor of the will, and after heruntimely death three years ago, the "I Will Always Love You" singer'ssister-in-law and former manager, Pat Houston, became co-executor.

In March 2014,Pat Houston -- who is married to Gary Houston -- obtained a restraining order against Gordon. She accused him of "making threatening comments,"to her,among other things.

Despite publicpronouncementsfrom Bobbi Kristina, includingsocialmediapostingsannouncing her engagement and marriage to Gordon, her father's lawyer last week saidthat the two werenever legally married.Thecouple is best known for co-starring on the now-defunct reality series "The Houstons: On Our Own,"which debutedin May 2012 on Lifetime.

Gordon, whom Whitney Houston took in at age 12 but never legally adopted, and a friend, discovered Bobbi Kristina face down in a bathtub in herRoswell, Georgia homein which the couple lived.

Multiple news outlets have reported that authorities suspect possible foul playin Bobbi Kristina's case after injuries were found on her face and mouth. TMZ saysGordon is the target of the investigation.

Police have only said the investigation is ongoing.

The New York Post, in a report today, says it was told by an unnamed Brown family source thatBobbi Kristina's familyhasagreed to take her off life support at midnight Wednesday to align with the three-year death anniversary ofWhitney Houston.

Texas lottery winner gives advice on staying grounded after becoming a ...

JEFFERSON COUNTY (KBMT) - As we get ready for a staggering $485 million Powerball lottery drawing, a Southeast Texas lottery winner is sharing his story on how to be a responsible winner.

Wednesday night's Powerball jackpot is the third-largest in the game's history and the fifth-largest lottery jackpot in U.S. history.

Unlike other lottery horror stories in which someone goes from rags to riches back to rags, Salvador Salazar Jr. is still a multimillionaire, almost four years after winning the Texas Lotto.

Salazar was just 18-years-old when he bought a quick-pick ticket at Dos Amigas convenience store at Franklin and Avenue C, just blocks away from his home in the Avenues neighborhood in Beaumont.

Salazar's ticket was the winning one, he ended up claiming one lump sum payment of $15 million.

Salazar, who had to drop out of high school to support his daughter, told us, "I'm doing way better than what I was."

Salazar is now the father of three, and lives in Hamshire on 115 acres. He built a house for him and his young family, and another house next door for his parents.

Salazar had this advice for future lottery winners, "Be smart with it, don't got out and spend it, just cause you have it."

Salazar practices what he preaches. He has saved more than spent. He said, "I just try to keep it as long as I can to pass it on to my kids. I don't want them growing up the same way I grew up, struggling, my dad and my mom, living paycheck to paycheck, I just want a better life for them than what I had."

Salazar still plays the lottery and plans to buy a Powerball ticket Wednesday. He also still works. He and his dad own a construction business.
