George Hamilton Reveals The Best City To Get A Lasting Tan

As a man who is as well known for his perpetually tanned skin as he is for his lengthy acting career, George Hamilton is a formidable authority on the art of the suntan. What started as a calculated way for Hamilton to pick up girls in his teens has since become a part of the 75-year-old"s legacy, and now he"s sharing some of his own tanning advice with "Oprah: Where Are They Now -- Extra."

First and foremost, Hamilton clarifies that his need to tan is more than skin-deep. "It"s not the spray tan that I"m after," he says in the above video. "It"s the actual "plug-in" to the sun that I feel when I"m in it."

While science clearly outlines the risks of too much UV exposure, Hamilton believes that getting at least a little bit of sun has its benefits.

"It"s always been a kind of health thing -- and I know there are a lot of conflicting views about that," he says. "I think there"s a lot of people who have Vitamin D deficiency now... I think you need 15 minutes in the sun every day. Everyone. Maybe not the direct sun, but everyone needs it."

Hamilton has spent his fair share of time sunning himself in cities around the world, but only one place stands out as his favorite for getting beautifully bronzed skin that really lasts -- and it"s not Hawaii. "By the time you get back on the plane from Hawaii, you"re already faded! It doesn"t last. I peeled once and underneath it I had an old tan from 1959," he jokes.

Instead, Hamilton points to a California city as offering a much better "investment."

"I would say the best place to get a tan, for me, is Palm Springs," he says. "It"s the best tan. It stays."

Some of Hamilton"s companions have enjoyed tanning almost as much as he does, including the late Elizabeth Taylor. ("She could actually out-suntan me," he says.) In the same "Oprah: Where Are They Now?" interview, Hamilton recalls what happened when a paparazzi snapped t*****s tanning photos of Taylor while the couple dated back in the 80s.

"Oprah: Where Are They Now -- Extra" is a digital series from the OWN show "Oprah: Where Are They Now?"

In the snapshots below, Draya was spotted with her huge engagement ring during her Mint Swim fashion show over the weekend.

In the first image, Draya had her followers guessing the status of her on-again, off-again relationship when she wrote:"I love this pic mostly because it was taken at 11pm but looks like 11am." If you take a close look, you will can see the huge rock Orlando previously gave her back in June.

In the next photo, you can see a clear shot, showing that Draya is still rocking her ring, as she looks on during the fashion show.

According to The YBF,Draya"s ring is worth $400k. It seems to be a little strange that Draya would still wear a ring that has caused her so much drama and pain in the last few weeks.

MStars News previously reportedthat Orlando decided to call off his engagement to the reality star and fashion designer, claiming that the entire thing was a "poor decision." After commenting on his breakup,Orlando also filed a restraining order against Draya, claiming that she threatened him.

However, if you ask Michele"s Basketball Wives co-star, Mehgan James, what she thinks on the entire engagement chaos, she claims it"s a publicity stunt, to keep her name in the headlines.

"I think it"s all fake. They"re still together. She"s still living in his house, still driving his car," James previously said."It"s a publicity stunt." Mehgan continued, "The breakup, the makeup, the re-breakup, the makeup before that and the breakup before that, it"s fake."

Maybe James is right, because everyone is talking about Draya still wearing that ring!

Do you think Draya will speak up soon and let everyone know if she and Orlando have decided to get back together, or if she"s just wearing that beautiful diamond just to accessorize her outfits?

Earlier this month, former Spurs guard Cory Josephwho was drafted by San Antonio in 2011 and won a title with the team in 2014decided to take his talents to the Raptors. "We gon" make sure you get your bread and you know the ropes," Drake raps, "I get a ring and I bring it home like I"m Cory Joe."

Yo, already?!The ink isn"t even dry on his contract yet! We weren"t the only ones who caught the "Cory Joe" reference, either:

Randy Johnson expresses gratitude for teams that gave him a chance in Hall of ...

Randy Johnson has always been known asa stoic man of few words, but he made sure that all six teams he played for during his 22 years in the majorsknew of his gratitude.

Johnson ticked off the teams and people who helped him throughout his pitching career, starting with the firstmajor league team that drafted him out of college, the Montreal Expos, to which he said he was "forever indebted."

MORE: The most memorable moments of Randy Johnson"s career

"My minor league career was not stellar. It took me four years in the minor leagues to finally get a call up in 1988 ... I relish that moment getting to pitch in Montreal," Johnson said.

It wasn"t until Johnson was traded to the Mariners in 1989 that his career really took off, a move that he called his "apprenticeshipfor the next 10 years."

Twomonths with the Astros in 1998, during which he went 10-1,set Johnson up for his first tenure with the Diamondbacks, which led him to winning three games in the World Series and becoming co-MVP with Curt Schilling after the team clinched the title.

"Individual accomplishments are great, but in 2001 we had a team that in spring training we were all on the same page and we never deviated or wavered from that," Johnson said. "And that led us tothe World Series against the greatest team of all time, the New York Yankees.

"Those are some very memorable moments there in Arizona. I"m so grateful for everyone I played with and the franchise."

Johnson also thanked the Yankees and the Giants for taking him on, especially while recovering from significant injuries.

Throughout the trades and injuries, Johnson"s main motivation were the baseball fans, whether they were cheering him on orjeering at him.

"If I was a visiting player coming in to pitch against your team, you motivated me by screaming at me," Johnson said. "If you were rooting for me, I wouldrun through a brick wall for you and throw as many pitches as I needed to throw to get that game and get us a victory."

Johnson also made sure to thank the Wounded Warriors Project, an organization he has worked closely with since his 2009 retirement from baseball, and the United States armed services.

Given the nickname "the Big Unit" for his 6-10 frame, Johnson boastsof a 303-166 career record. The five-time Cy Young Award winnerledthe league in strikeouts nine times and recorded 4,875 strikeouts, the most for anyleft-handedpitcher and thesecondmost ever. He"s the oldest pitcher to throw a perfect game at age 40and defeated every major league team at least once.

Bryan Caraway didn"t want Miesha Tate to corner him at UFC on FOX 16 | MMAjunkie

CHICAGO Bryan Caraway and Miesha Tate are in a situation almost no one can relate to.After all, not many relationships involve two professional fighters, let alone two who have competed in the UFC octagon on the same night.

Caraway (20-7 MMA, 5-2 UFC) and Tate (17-5 MMA, 4-2 UFC)both competed Saturday night at UFC on FOX 16. Not only did both pick up wins, but they worked each others corner during the event. With a title shot on the line for Tate, it seemed a risky move for her to go through the emotional rollercoaster of cornering her boyfriend earlier in the night.

But Tate had no plans to avoid the corner for Caraways win over former WEC champion Eddie Wineland (21-11-1 MMA, 3-5 UFC).

I was prepared to put it behind me either way, Tate told MMAjunkie at the post-fight press conference. Once he won, it was great. But I knew that, no matter what happened, I was going to separate my fight from his fight emotionally. Thats something we get a lot of practice with anyway, being a couple inside the gym. We have to separate things. Its something that I feel like Im really good at. Its not the first time we fought on the same card together. But it is the first time that we fought in the UFC together and cornered each other on the same night. It was a little more stressful than normal, but we were both super motivated. And I felt like I had a lot of positive energy.

Tate fought in the co-main event of the evening, facing Jessica Eye (11-3 MMA, 1-2 UFC)in a No. 1 contender fight. The winner was to receive a shot at the winner of Ronda Rouseys UFC 190 title defense against Bethe Correia.

Tate pulled off an impressive victory, dropping Eye multiple times en route to a wide unanimous decision victory. UFC President Dana White confirmed that Tate was up next for a title shot following the bout.

The stakes of that fight had Caraway wanting Tate to take a pass on working his corner, but he knew better than to fight with Tate.

I actually didnt want her to corner me, Caraway said. I was worried. I didnt want her to have an adrenaline dump at all. Just from the crowd or seeing everything or if something happened during my fight. I didnt want her to worry. Even if she was mentally okay I didnt want that natural hormone to have that adrenaline dump and affect her in her fight. But she told me, Youve always been there for me and Im going to be there for you, no matter what. I wasnt going to argue with her. You dont argue with her.

Bryan Caraway compares TJ Dillashaw to Lieutenant Dan

Bryan Caraway spoke with the media about his friendship with T.J. Dillashaw following his victory at UFC on FOX 16, comparing the bantamweight champion to a beloved character from Forrest Gump.

Bryan Caraway and T.J. Dillashaw go way back, dating back to their time togetheron TheUltimate Fighter. The duo of extremely talented fighters has also trained together with Team Alpha Male.

Caraway touched on their relationship following his unanimous decision victory over Eddie Wineland at UFC on Fox 16 on Saturday. Whendoing so, he revealed a nickname that him and his fellowtraining partners have for the reigning bantamweight champion.

Hes almost a psycho, Caraway said. As kind of a funny joke, Team Alpha Male started calling him Lieutenant Dan because hed snap. If he didnt have a training partner or someone wasnt there, hed just freak out. Id be like dude calm down. It was like his life depended on it. And I knew that great things were going to come out of him.

Lieutenant Dan refers to the comically irritable character from the critically-acclaimed film, Forrest Gump.On a more serious note, Caraway described how Dillashaws recent success and constant drive has inspired him to become a better fighter.

Now its awesome. Ive been an old dog in this sport for a long time. Ive been fighting for 12 years. To see somebody young and hungry come in after Ive already fought in the WCF, already fought in Showtime, already fought in Strike ForceTo see him come in with that kind of energy and see his hard work propel him past me to a world championship, he was a big motivation to me. Training with him when he was below me when I used to beat him up, to coming up and being a world champion now, I was like, thats the s I need to do."

Given his recent victory over Wineland, the No. 6 ranked fighter in the bantamweight class, Caraway could geta shot at his good friend and competitor in the near future.
