A man is in custody for the shooting death of a college student from Hays County. U.S. Marshals arrested Marine Corporal Eric Jamal Johnson today as he arrived for duty at a base in Yuma, Arizona.

Police say Johnson shot and killed Sara Mutschlechner during a road rage incident in Denton. She was the designated driver after a New Year"s Eve party. Investigators say words were exchanged between both cars before shots were fired. Police won"t say what led them to Johnson.

Sara grew up Martindale in Hays County and was a 2013 graduate of San Marcos High School. In San Marcos today nobody wanted to say anything about the arrest of a suspect. We found they preferred to focus on Sara and preparing their final farewell.

San Marcos High School was uncharacteristically quiet today because students won"t be back until tomorrow. The school told us they"re planning to host a candlelight vigil for Sara Thursday night.

Sara was active in the rattler band... as active as you can be carrying a big drum. And it"s clear by the photos they kept that she loved being in the band and the band members loved her back. Band Director Damon Knight remembers her as "a very, very special young lady. He says is missed greatly.

At the University of North Texas, Sara was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha and the support of her sorority sisters everywhere is being felt on the Internet.

Two separate Gofundme pages have raised more than $15,000 to help Sara"s family get through this. And with the donations come words of support. Caitlyn sends "zeta love from Maryland." And closer to home Emmanuel offers "prayer and support to her family" saying "in low times like this we must come together as a community."

And that"s exactly what will happen in San Marcos this week. Visitation for Sara is set for Wednesday 4:00-7:00 PM at Pennington Funeral Home in San Marcos. During the visitation there will be a service beginning at 6:00 PM. Her funeral service will be Thursday at 2:00 PM at University Church of Christ.

Naismith Watch: Providence"s Kris Dunn leading the way over Buddy Hield

Buddy Hield Full Highlights vs Oral Roberts (12-12-15) 30 Points 5 Steals CRAZY SHOOTING !!

After a holiday hiatus the Naismith Watch has returned, hoping the New Year brings a speedy recovery to a couple of contenders for the award given annually to the best player in college basketball.

MARCH MADNESS ON SOCIAL MEDIA JOIN THE TEAM.

The interim and injuries created movement at the top and throughout the list.

First a refresher on the award, which Wisconsin"s Frank Kaminsky claimed last season and was first handed out in 1969.

The initial 50-man watch list was released earlier this month.

The list will be pared to 30 players on Feb. 11th, the 10 semifinalists will be announced March 2nd and four finalists will be revealed on March 20th. The winner receives the award on the first weekend of April during the Final Four in Houston.

Each Monday for the remainder of the regular season well publish a nine-man watch list, ranking the favorites to win the award if the season ended today.

1. Kris Dunn, Providence - The games premier point guard is leading the nation in assist rate for the second consecutive season (49.1 percent). He led the Friars to a key Big East victory over Butler and has hit 8 of 12 3-pointers and dished out 26 assists in the three games since he returned from illness. Providence is 14-1 and a 2-0 contender in the Big East, thanks to Dunn, who has converted 48 of 78 shots (61.5 percent) at the rim, per hoop-math.com and is second in the nation with 3.08 steals per game.

2. Denzel Valentine, Michigan State - Our frontrunner when we last convened underwent minor arthroscopic surgery on his left knee during the week before Christmas. The versatile 6-5 senior has missed three games and hopes to return for Sundays matchup against Penn State, which means h**l sit out this weeks game against Illinois. Valentine has been missed. The Spartans are 2-1 in his absence and needed overtime to defeat Oakland. They will welcome back his 18.5 points, 8.1 rebounds and 7.3 assists per game.

3. Buddy Hield, Oklahoma - Entering Monday, Hield had taken 32 percent of the teams shots and produced a gaudy 126.4 offensive rating by hitting 49.4 percent of 3-pointers and 90.5 percent of free throws. Fourth in the nation in scoring, Hield also appears to enjoy playing basketball as much as anyone in the nation. Hield is 22 of 39 on 3-pointers from the left wing, per Synergy Sports, and 4 of 6 from the left corner.

4. Ben Simmons, LSU - The phenomenal freshman forward cant be pigeonholed at any one position although he did operate like the worlds only 6-10 point guard in a thorough, dominant performance against Vanderbilt last week. He used 37 percent of the Tigers possessions and recorded 36 points, 14 rebounds and four assists. For those urging Simmons to take on a larger role, he took 29 percent of the Tigers shots when in the game (his season average is 23 percent). The spotlight will shine brightly on Simmons on Tuesday night when SEC favorite Kentucky visits Baton Rouge.

5. Georges Niang, Iowa State - Bursting into the Naismith Watch for the first time, the 6-8 senior is having an outstanding senior season. Hes shooting the ball well from every area - 61.3 percent on 2-pointers, 41.2 percent on 3-pointers and 87 percent at the line. He had 29 points on 13 of 18 shooting and eight rebounds in the Cyclones narrow loss to Oklahoma on Saturday. That effort continues a trend of Niang excelling against the best teams. In Iowa States four games against teams in the top 50 of the Pomeroy Ratings, Niang averaged 21.5 points on a 61.1 percent effective field goal percentage.

6. Grayson Allen, Duke - The 6-5 sophomores 131.2 offensive rating leads the nation among players who use at least 24 percent of the possessions (Allens usage is 25.1 pct.) Hes attempted 187 field goals (81 more than all of last season) and two-fifths have come at the rim, where his strong 205-pound frame allows him to convert (61.8 percent). Whats troublesome is Allens two worst games occurred against the best two teams Duke has faced (Kentucky, Utah), although he was extremely ill against the Utes. Those are also the Blue Devils only losses.

7. Caris LeVert, Michigan - First, the good news. Name the statistical category - assists, turnovers, rebounding, shooting percentage - and the 6-7 senior has improved in every area this season. Unfortunately, LeVert missed the Wolverines romp over Penn State due to a lower left leg injury suffered in the previous game against Illinois. Michigan coach John Beilein hasnt revealed many details on the severity of LeVerts injury, but LeVert has a history of left leg issues. Michigan desperately needs his 17.6 ppg, 5.4 rpg and 5.2 apg in the lineup.

8. Kahlil Felder, Oakland - Before writing off Felder due to his size (5-foot-9) or because he plays at a mid-major (Horizon League) program, consider this: In four games against Georgia, Washington, Michigan State and Virginia this season, Felder averaged 32 points on 45 percent field goal shooting. The Grizzlies defeated Washington and lost to then-No. 1 Michigan State in overtime. Felder also leads the nation with 8.9 assists per game as the driving force in the nations 21st best offense. Talk about a potential bracket buster.

9. Malcolm Brogdon, Virginia - A terrific, versatile defender, who at 6-5 can guard multiple positions, Brogdon has emerged this season as a key cog (122.1 offensive rating) in the nations most efficient offense (119.8 adjusted efficiency, per KenPom.com). Not having a weakness is his strength. Hes delivering 16.8 ppg, 4.3 rpg and 3.0 apg while shooting a career-high 41 percent on 3-pointers. His 24 points Saturday helped the Cavaliers dispatch Notre Dame in the ACC opener.

On the cusp: Yogi Ferrell, Indiana; Anthony Gill, Virginia; Demetrius Jackson, Notre Dame; Marcus Paige, North Carolina; Jakob Poeltl, Utah; Jarrod Uthoff, Iowa;

Cleveland Browns organizational structure: cutting edge or too complicated ...

Billy Manziel

CLEVELAND, Ohio Is it any wonder Jimmy Haslam is looking for ways to reduce the Browns" margin for error?

Having erred on coaching searches, erred on drafts, erred on free agent signings, erred on being "directionally correct."

(Feel free to add uniform re-designs if you want. That"s so far down the list, I have no opinion.)

Browns hire Paul DePodesta of "Moneyball" fame

Haslam is looking for a smarter way to operate. At least that much is understandable.

So is the desire to put intelligent people (Sashi Brown, Paul DePodesta) in high positions.

Those two will qualify as the smartest people in most rooms where the Browns leadership team will conduct head coaching interviews.

But the most important person is still the head coach.

It"s one thing if the fan base doesn"t get Haslam"s new structure. And, judging by social media, the structure is viewed as only slightly less bizarre than a "Billy" Manziel sighting in Vegas.

It"s quite another if layers of organizational input (coaches tend to think of it as interference) scare prospective candidates away.

That"s the concern that can"t be allayed until we see the result of the coaching search.

The Browns are competing for talent. What makes Cleveland a good job for a head coach is that it"s one of 32.

Beyond that, there hasn"t been much to recommend it without the additional uncertainty attached to ceding authority over the roster to a former lawyer and a former baseball executive.

People who know Brown and DePodesta say they have terrific analytical minds, can solve problems and are men of vision.

This search will involve coaches who don"t know them in many cases. Some will be coaches coveted by other teams.

Will they see the new structure as cutting-edge, or simply more complicated?

We are told DePodesta will be involved in the search along with the Haslams, consultant Jed Hughes and Brown.

It will begin in earnest this week.

That might not give the Browns enough time to hire what they could really use for this portion of their latest reboot: a salesman.

Porsche Design"s New Desktop Drive Shares Power With Your 12-inch MacBook

Incubus - Drive

Apple is so massive that even a design flaw on one of its productslike the single USB-C port on the 12-inch MacBookcan spawn hundreds of devices dedicated to solving the problem. Even LaCies new Porsche Design Desktop Drive promises to keep your port-challenged MacBook charging while its connected.

A giant external drive sitting on your desk used to be the exclusive domain of video editors. But vast collections of high-def movies and thousands of digital photos demand a lot of storage, far more than the tiny SSDs used in ultra-thin laptops can hold. An external drive is now a must-have, so why not opt for something with a little style?

LaCies new Porsche Design Desktop Drive comes wrapped in a sand-blasted all-aluminum enclosure, and 4TB, 5TB, or 8TB capacities starting at $210 when available come March.

It does require power, so say goodbye to yet another outlet on the already crowded power strip under your desk. But that also means the drive can share power with a 12-inch MacBook when its connected to the tiny laptops single USB-C port. An additional USB port on the new drive would have been useful for accommodating other accessories, but its hard to point the finger at LaCie when the company is already trying to solve Apples mistake.
