Golden Globes 2016 updates: "The Revenant," "Mr. Robot" and underdogs win big

Ricky Gervais Slams Caitlyn Jenner in Golden Globes Monologue

"Steve Jobs" actress Kate Winslet accepts her Golden Globe for supporting actress in a film - drama at the 73rd Golden Globes at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.(Allen J. Schaben / Los Angeles Times)

In Danny Boyles Steve Jobs, Kate Winslet took everything in stride as Joanna Hoffman, Steve Jobs" Polish Armenian marketing matriarch at Apple. She navigated product launches, technological innovation and Jobs" erratic personality with a cool head. But in real life, backstage at the Golden Globes after accepting her award for supporting actress on Sunday, the British actress was far more emotional.

"I really am so shocked right now, so shocked," she said. "I never expected it, never, ever. Standing here I keep thinking this is not happening; I honestly, truthfully did not expect this at all -- and I am so thrilled."

When the 11-time Golden Globe nominee, who"s won three times, was asked to elaborate on what she"d started saying at the podium about women in film, while accepting her award, she said: "Women are doing such great work; there are a lot of out there still in the game I"ve been doing this 23 years now, Helen Mirren, Jane Fonda, these wonderful women we"re so fortunate to stand beside and learn from. And to be inspired by. There"s a real sense of girl power this year in terms of performance. And it"s just incredible to be a part of that."

About the challenges that she"s most proud of when filming the movie, she it was throwing herself out of her comfort zone.

"When I first read the script I couldn"t imagine how it would be possible to pull off something of that size it"s like 170 pages long. I just knew this was a woman nothing like me, looked nothing like me, was from a world I knew nothing about; and I just wanted that challenge."

Will she go out and party now, tonight?

"I have this I neck problem," she said. "I booked a massage for 9pm which I may have to cancel so I don"t know how much partying I"ll actually get to do!"

Golden Globes: Brie Larson wins best actress in a drama film for "Room"

Brie Larson Jumped Out a Window at a College Party

Inaccepting the Golden Globe for best actress, drama, for the movie "Room," Brie Larson displayed just the kind of sideways, off-the-cuff charm that has propelled her through this awards season.

On a night when making jokes at the expense of the Hollywood Foreign Press Assn. and the meaning/relevance of the Golden Globes seemed something of a mandate, Larson found an original way to address the notoriously eccentric voting body.

"It"s been such a pleasure getting to know you, you"re such an incredible bunch of people!" Larson said with a seeming lack of guile.

Her character has to deal with the trauma of her situation while struggling to protect the young son she bears while imprisoned, in the film written by Emma Donoghue from her novel of the same name and directed by Lenny Abrahamson.

"This movie means so much to me," Larson said onstage. As music began to play her off, she said, "I can"t believe this. I"m sorry to anyone I forgot. I"ll write you a thank you card."

The other nominees in the category were a mix of Globe favorites and new faces.

Cate Blanchett was nominated for her role in the romantic period drama "Carol." This was Blanchetts ninth Globe nomination. She won best actress in a drama for Elizabeth and Blue Jasmine andsupporting actress for Im Not There, in which she played a young Bob Dylan for Carol director Todd Haynes.

Manchester City "join Real Madrid in race to sign Chelsea star Eden Hazard"

Real Madrid vs Rayo Vallecano 10-2 All Goals 20-12-2015

Eden Hazard has reportedly emerged as a shock target for Manchester City.

The Sun on Sunday claims City will bid for the 25-year-old if he decides to to leave Chelsea this summer.

Real Madrid are his number one suitors with new boss Zinedine Zidane a known admirer and Cristiano Ronaldo edging closer to the Bernabeu exit door.

Rumours are rife Portugal skipper Ronaldo will leave Los Blancos at the end of the season to join PSG, despite Zidane"s insistence that he won"t be sold.

Replacement: Eden Hazard could take Cristiano Ronaldo"s place in Real Madrid"s team

If Ronaldo does leave, Madrid are expected to turn their attention to Chelsea and Belgium winger Hazard.

However, City are reportedly unwilling to let Hazard go to Spain without a fight and are said to be weighing up an 80million bid.

Hazards international teammates Vincent Kompany and Kevin De Bruyne are already settled at the Etihad and could play a key role in trying to persuade him to join them in the North West.

Hazard scored 19 goals last season and won numerous individual accolades as Chelsea won the Premier League and Capital One Cup, but the former Lille man is yet to find the net in 27 appearances for the Blues this season.
