Jena Malone & The Shoe - "Dead Rabbit Hopes" Acoustic Performance for Just Jared"s Spotlight Series By Lisa Respers France CNN
(CNN) -- When it came time to reveal her baby bump, Jena Malone got poetic.
The "Hunger Games" actress posted a picture of herself and bit of a poem on Instagram on Wednesday to alert the world to the fact that she and "beautiful hearted baby daddy" Ethan DeLorenzo are expecting their first child.
"Womb to womb/To beating wing/I climbed out of the eternal/ And into the shape of me," she wrote. "Some words I wrote years ago when I was thinking about my own mother. And the woman she was when she had me."
Malone, rumored to be co-starring in the upcoming film "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," got deep as she reflected upon her condition.
"The shape your desires make out of you. The body you become to hold your dreams," her caption says. "It"s with two feet firmly on the ground and a heart swelling in an ocean of love that I"d like to share the new shape I am becoming to hold the greatest dream of them all. #babybump #newparents."
Malone"s musician boyfriend also posted a picture of her on his account with the caption "My family. @jenamalone and my child to be."

National Hug Day is a fun-spirited day designed to unite people, but for Los Angeles Dodgers catcher A.J. Ellis, it ended up reminding him of some bad times -- with the "help" of his teammate, of course.
In celebration of National Hug Day, a fan sent a photo to Ellis of him and ace Clayton Kershaw embracing after Kershaw pitched a shutout in San Francisco to clinch the NL West division title last season.
Ellis retweeted the photo to his followers, admiring Kershaw"s ability to hold him -- a "230-pound(ish) giddy schoolboy," in his own words -- after pitching nine scoreless innings.
.@ClaytonKersh22 pitches CG shutout and still has strength to catch and hold a 230lb(ish) giddy schoolboy. #hugday https://t.co/BBDeP5CjVX

Dodgers third baseman Justin Turner seized the otherwise fuzzy moment as an opportunity to taunt his teammate -- because, well, that"s what athletes do.
@AJEllis17 @ClaytonKersh22 @DodgerFoodie @Dodgers I think he was trying to keep you from landing on your mask! #Sniper
Justin Turner (@redturn2) January 21, 2016
Turner is referring to an unfortunate incident that Ellis would rather forget.
While celebrating Josh Beckett"s no-hitter on May 25, 2014, Ellis stepped on the catcher"s mask of the day"s catcher, Drew Butera, and sprained his ankle, which sidelined him for three weeks.
Ellis had some fun with Turner"s conjuring of his unflattering incident, blaming Butera, who is no longer with the Dodgers.

Well, that was a successful celebration of National Hug Day -- with no sprained ankles, thankfully.
That seems to be The 100"s battle-cry heading into hits highly anticipated third season, which premieres on Thursday, Jan. 21. E! News has your exclusive first look at the CW hit"s newest trailer, which debuted at the 2016 Winter TCA Press Tour, and finds our heroine Clarke (Eliza Taylor) on the run as she"s being "hunted" by everyone after taking off on her own at the end of the season two premiere.
And Clarke is sporting a wild new look in the footage, as well as getting hot and heavy with someone who is not Lexa (Alycia Debnam-Carey, who is returning) or Bellamy (Bob Morley). (Sorry, Clexa and Bellarke fans.)
CLICK: Watch Shawn Mendes" make his acting debut (and sing!) on The 100
Eliza Taylor talked about Clarke"s surprising evolution over the course of the series thus far on the panel, saying, "It has evolved to my surprise. Constantly not knowing where the story is going...every day I get to work and I get to learn and grow with this character."
And Clarke isn"t the only character learning and growing in season three, as a devastated Jasper (Devon Bostick) is still having a hard time dealing with Maya"s death in the season two finale and Raven (Lindsey Morgan) is putting on a tough front about her leg injury...but not everyone is buying her act.
And it looks like that truce with the Grounders might not be a long-lasting one, as Lincoln (Ricky Whittle) warns "the truce will break and we"ll be at war" in the promo. On the panel, showrunner Jason Rothenberg teased fans will learn more about the Grounders in season three, saying,"We tell a lot of stories in [the Grounder capitol] Polis this season," adding there may or may not be a "civil war brewing" there as well.
The 100 season three premieres Thursday, Jan. 21 at 9 p.m. on the CW.
Scientists who discovered new planet explain how they did it
Once it has been confirmed the discovery is definitely a planet, Arab names have been nominated for it.
Al Battani, or Al Batenius, a ninth-century Arab astronomer, astrologer and mathematician, from Syria, would be a great name for the new planet, said Prof Hamid Al Naimiy, an astrophysicist and chancellor of the University of Sharjah and director of the Sharjah Centre for Space Sciences and Astronomy.
Al Battani wrote many books on astronomy and trigonometry and his work was quoted by famous figures such as Nicolaus Copernicus.
Al Battani lived and worked in Raqqa, Syria, and one of his best-known achievements in astronomy was the determination of the solar year as being 365 days, five hours, 46 minutes and 24 seconds, a calculation that was only two minutes and 22 seconds off.
He made great contributions to the field of space and astronomy, and so it would be great to honour him like that by naming a new planet after him, said Prof Al Naimiy, who is also the president of the Arab Union for Astronomy and Space Sciences, and a member of the International Astronomical Union.
This is exciting news for us, because there are many objects out there, and the more we discover and understand our own solar system, the more information we get the more we understand about our own planet and about our history, he said, pointing out that Planet 9 was still a maybe at this stage.
There will be lots of investigations going on, because for something to be called a planet, it must have a complete orbit around its own star, and in the case of the ninth planet, a complete orbit around the Sun, he said.
The Sharjah Centre for Space Sciences and Astronomy will also be looking into this new discovery. It is an exciting time to be working and studying astronomy and space and beyond, Dr Al Naimiy said.
Ibrahim Al Qasim, project supervisor and manager of strategic research at Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre, came up with a more philosophical name for the new planet.
Al Ghareeb, strange one, he said. Because we just discovered it and know nothing about it. Demystifying it will be an exciting journey.
As the UAE prepares to send Al Amal, the Hope probe, to Mars in 2021, which will make the UAE the first Arab country to reach the Red Planet, the possibilities for discoveries are endless.
Who knows, maybe one day we will get a chance to explore it, Mr Al Qasim said.
Both agree that the latest discovery should be a lesson for mankind. The more we discover, the smaller we find we are, and so it should push us closer together as a human race, Mr Al Qasim said.
Donkey Of The Day 2016 | Stacey Dash (There Shouldn"t Be A Black History Month)
Donald Trump weighed in on the #OscarsSoWhite situation Wednesday by pointing out what some are calling a double standard: Why do black people get to criticize the Oscars for being nearly all white, when white people dont get nominated at the BET Awards?
In a remote interview with Fox and Friends, Trump said he was impressed with Clueless actress and Fox News correspondent Stacey Dash, who suggested that there shouldnt be a Black History Month, and that the BET Awards and the NAACP Image Awards shouldnt exist.
#OscarsSoWhite:Full coverage of the boycott and Hollywood"s reaction
Black awards shows are a problem, she said, because youre only awarded if youre black. In his interview, Donald Trump agreed, and went a bit further saying that the whites dont get any nominations at the BET awards.
Actually, neither of those statements is true.
Last year, Sam Smith who is white was not only nominated at the BET Awards, but won the Best New Artist award, beating out the likes of Fetty Wap and Rae Sremmurd. Iggy Azalea, a white rapper from Australia, was nominated for Best Female Hip-Hop Artist.
Sam Smith also won an NAACP Image Award in the "Outstanding Duo, Group or Collaboration" category that year. In fact, 4 of the 10 nominees in that category were white. Steven Spielberg won a Vanguard Award at the ceremony in 2000, and "Star Wars" director George Lucas received one in 2012.
Returning to the BET Awards, Robin Thicke has been nominated four times, most recently in 2014 for Best Collaboration in Blurred Lines. Daft Punk, a pair of white men from France, were nominated that same year for Best Group.
Other white artists spotlighted at past BET awards include Eminem (nominated five times, including once during the inaugural year of the awards) and Justin Bieber (nominated in 2010 for Best New Artist).
Non-black artists of color have also been represented among nominees, in particular at the NAACP Image Awards. In recent years, stars of South Asian heritage such as "The Mindy Project" star Mindy Kaling, and Erik Valdez, a Latino actor who appears in "General Hospital," have been nominated.
Both the BET Awards and the NAACP Image Awards were founded, and still exist because, as the official NAACP site says, "the lack of racial diversity in the entertainment industry still exists."
