US and Mexican drug enforcement authorities just announced that they captured several gang members in a raid that took place near the Arizona border with Mexico, according to Reuters, the Guardian, and others.
The operationdubbed Mexican Operation Diablo Express, per reportsbrought in about two dozen people allegedly connected to the deadly Sinaloa drug cartel. It took place in an area known for being a drug-running corridor. Reuters notes:
Operating around Sonoyta, a Mexican city along the border with the US state of Arizona, the Sinaloa cartel has smuggled millions of pounds of illegal drugs, millions of US dollars and weapons between the two countries, ICE said.
Two were killed in the raid, according to reports.
All this comes not long after Mexican authorities re-arrested Sinaloa leader Joaqun El Chapo Guzman, following his 2014 escape from prison and in the wake of his bizarre interview with actor Sean Penn that got him caught.
And while both Mexico and the US have been having larger and increasingly mainstream conversation about the decriminalization of drugs, the arrests show that those discussions arent happening in a vacuum.
Authorities claim to have recovered several automatic weapons; a failed effort earlier this month to recapture Guzman left five people dead, and Mexicos marine force recovered two armored vehicles, eight long guns, one handgun and a rocket-propelled grenade launcher.
February marks a new month, and new titles coming to Netflix and iTunes.
The streaming services will feature films from "Armageddon" to "Full Metal Jacket" to "Teen Witch," as well as new Oscar-nominated films like "Spotlight" and "The Big Short."
Netflix originals, including a Hannibal Buress special, will also make their debuts too, while iTunes brings you new episodes of "Grey"s Anatomy" and "Scandal."

CHRISTIANSBURG (WSLS 10) 18-year-old David Eisnehauer and 19-year-old Natalie Keepers both made initial appearnce in Montgomery County court on Monday. Both Eisenhauer and Keepers are Virginia Tech students.
Eisenhauer is charged with first degree murder and abduction of 13-year old Nicole Lovell. Her body was found in Surry County North Carolina on Saturday.
Keepers is charged with one felony count of improper disposal of a body and one misdemeanor count of accessory after the fact in the commission of a felony.
WSLS 10 has obtained the arrest warrants for David Eisenhauer. In it, Eisnenhauer stated when arrested for abduction, I believe the truth can set me free.
Weve also learned that both warrants state that no firearm was used in the alleged offense.
Also, when charged with first degree murder, the warrant shows the accused had no comment.

After Kit Harrington and Rose Leslie were spotted packing on the PDA during a recent shopping trip in Los Angeles, co-star Emilia Clarke is giving the on- and off-screen love birds her seal of approval.
"My goodness! You know, we like to spread the love on our show. It"s a beautiful thing," Clarke told ET"s Nancy O"Dell on Sunday"s Screen Actors Guild Awards red carpet. "She"s one of my best friends, so it"s good."

All three actors, along with the rest of their GoT cast, were up for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series at the 2016 SAG Awards. And what about the big question that"s been following the stars for months: Is Jon Snow alive?
