Olympics: Simone Biles on top again at US gymnastics championships

Simone Biles - Vault 1 (end view) - 2016 P&G Gymnastics Championships - Sr. Women Day 2

Turning each rotation into a showcase for her unmatched talent, Biles posted an eye-popping score of 62.900, well clear of runners up Aly Raisman and Laurie Hernandez and everybody else on the plane.t

"It"s all about peaking for the right moment," Biles said. "I think this is a stepping stone toward it."

The gap the 19-year-old Texan has created between herself and the rest of the world during a winning streak that"s nearly three years and counting shows no signs of closing. If anything, it"s widening considering her nearest competitors are the four women who will join her on the plane to Brazil in August.

"There"s no one that can catch Simone," said Raisman after her best night since her return to competition in March, 2015.

Not in the U.S. and certainly not in the rest of the world.

Biles was nearly flawless from the start, her beam routine a 45-second showcase of precision with nary a wobble or even a peak at the floor 4-feet below. Her score of 15.7 is a significant step up from the 15.388 she posted at world championships last fall, an event she won easily. Her floor routine includes a series of hand flourishes that seems as if she"s saying "follow me" and a series of tumbling passes that are the gymnastics version of Michael Jordan at the height of his "airness" prime.

Asked to nitpick her performance and Biles paused. It"s not that she"s perfect gymnastics doesn"t do perfect anymore it"s just that she"s as close as anyone has been in a long, long time. While she pointed to nearly imperceptible miscues during her beam dismount and her first vault, even she had to admit there was little else that went wrong.

"I was pretty happy with it," Biles said.

So was Karolyi, who will have plenty to think about over the next two weeks as she tries to find the right four women to join Biles on the plane to Brazil in August. The one thing that"s not on her mind is the mental state of her star.

"Usually these very talented girls don"t have patience," Karolyi said. "They"re explosive and full with energy but sometimes they can be annoyed with doing the very same routine."

Biles hardly looked bored while putting on a show no one else can match. And she wasn"t the only one who looked ready for the stage that awaits in Brazil.

Raisman wanted to "vomit" while starting out on beam, where she won bronze in London four years ago. She didn"t exactly look nervous while putting up a 15.150, something she credited on the poker face she inherited from her father. After beating herself up for months after a poor showing by her standards anyway at world championships last fall, Raisman is right back where she was in 2012, maybe even a bit better.

Defending Olympic champion Gabby Douglas, who won the American Cup and in Italy earlier this spring, wasn"t quite as sharp. She wobbled twice on beam and needed a world-class save to stay on at one point. Yet she did to avoid a major deduction, a trait Karolyi welcomes nearly as much as a flawlessly executed routine. Still, her score of 58.9 needs to improve on Sunday to remove any lingering doubt.

"I just got a little bit relaxed and let things slip," she said. "I need to stay aggressive. The confidence level is there."

Here"s why Brexit might not be so bad for Burberry

How to Fundamentally Analyse Stock Statistics on Yahoo Finance 2014

Most analysts are saying that the UKs vote to leave the European Union will damage almost every retail sector in Europe across the board. It makes simple sense: A weaker British Pound means that British companies will spend more on production costs in other countries, and will have to pass on those expenses to the shoppers by raising prices; if its harder for other EU citizens to visit England, it may also cut down on shopping by European tourists. Theres good reason 90% of the members of the British Fashion Council wanted to stay in the union, and why British fashion designers are vocally unhappy about the vote.

But while Brexit is a negative for the sector overall, according to a new note from RBC Europe Limited, it is merely mixed for Burberry Group.

The real beneficiary of a weakening GBP should be Burberry, says analyst Rogerio Fujimori in the note. Currency fluctuations tend to shift travel flows and luxury purchases around the globe: A weakening GBP may shift overseas tourist flows to the UK, which would benefit Burberry Group. You may have seen this thesis already in other contextsthat while the plummeting pound is bad for Brits, its nice for foreigners whod like to visit England. It means your trip to London will be a lot cheaper. So Burberrys eventual higher costs may be offset by American tourists buying up Burberry threads in England.

Burberrys exposure to the pound is an important part of this. It sees about 14% of its revenue in pounds, 15% of its cost of goods sold (COGS, in retail parlance), and 40% of its operational expenses. Luca Solca, luxury goods analyst at Exane BNP Paribas, explained to Business of Fashion why those numbers mean Burberry, and other British brands that do a lot of business outside of Britain, could actually thrive post-Brexit: If their costs are largely in pounds, but their revenues are in euros or dollars, the euros and dollars they would get from abroad would buy a larger amount of pounds."

It helps that Burberry, which had 2.5 billion in revenue last year (in pounds), is not just the UKs largest luxury brand but by far its best-known.

In the most recent Brand Finance Global 500 report, Burberry was No. 2 in all of Britain for brand awareness, second only to Unilever. HSBC and Johnnie Walker are among the brands Burberry jumped to go from No. 6 the year before to No. 2. And despite Brexit, Burberry stock (BRBY.L) is up 2% in the past 5 days, and up nearly 2% in after-hours trading in England since Friday.

Argentina vs. Chile | Copa America Centenario Match Preview

ARGENTINA vs CHILE | FINAL Copa America 2016 | PES 2016 | Previa

Argentina vs. ChileCopa America Centenario Group DJune 6 | 10:00 pm ET | Levi"s Stadium, Santa Clara, CaliforniaTV: FS1, UniMs, UDN

In one of the most anticipated match-ups of the group stage, Argentina and Chile will meet on Monday night at Levi"s Stadium.

The game will feature some of the biggest stars in the tournament including Arturo Vidal, Alexis Sanchez, Sergio Aguero and (maybe) Lionel Messi.

It is also a rematch of last year"s Copa America final, in which Chile defeated Argentina in penalties at home. Chile beat Argentina 4-1 in penalties as Gonzalo Higuain and Ever Banega missed their penalties and Chile made all four of theirs.

The two nations are clear favorites to advance out of Group D as Panama and Bolivia start their tournament at Camping World Stadium in Orlando.

Here are three things were looking at in advance of Sundays game:

Will Messi play?

He is the best player in the world but Lionel Messi still has not taken home a trophy for his country. And now he has starting off this edition of Copa America as a bit of a question mark. The Barcelona star injured his back in a friendly against Honduras on Friday night and head coach Tata Martino has said that he will be a last-minute decision.

Messi trained separately from the group on Friday and Saturday and will be hoping to get back on the field so he could matchArgentina"s all-time leading goalscorer Gabriel Bautista, who he is six goals behind.

Title defense

Chile enter this tournament as the defending champions, after defeating Argentina in last years final. Things will be a little tougher this time around as the tournament is not being held in their home country. The good news is that the still have talent to compete with anybody in the world.

Their captain, Claudio Bravo, is the goalkeeper for La Liga champions Barcelona and he will be protected by Gary Medel, a veteran who currently plies his trade with Inter Milan. The midfield is anchored by one of the top central midfielders in the world, Arturo Vidal, and the attack is led by Arsenal winger Alexis Sanchez. That doesn"t even include Eduardo Vargas, who was the joint top goalscorer of last years Copa America.

All that talent should easily take them to the knockout stages and easily much farther.

End the drought

Despite being one the top teams in the world over the last quarter decade, Argentina have not taken home a trophy since 1993. And now they may be without their top player to start the tournament.

The good news is that they are in decentform, having won their last four games, and have some other world-class players at their disposal. They just have to figure out a way to get them all on the field. Sergio Aguero, despite scoring 50 goals over the past two Premier League seasons with Manchester City, may be left on the bench in favor of in-form striker Gonzalo Higuain.

If Martino can figure out a way to get all of his players working together, Argentina should be one of (if not the) favorite to take home the trophy.

Euro 2016: How to watch Wales vs Northern Ireland and Portugal vs Croatia LIVE online

Portugal vs Croatia END of MATCH - Smiles and Tears - EURO 2016

Euro 2016 finally enters the knock-out stages this weekend as the business end of the tournament gets into full swing.

British interest comes as Wales take on Northern Ireland in Paris in what is probably the most unexpected match-up of the tournament so far, with both countries looking to continue their impressive progress so far.

Later on, Portugal take on Croatia in Lens in the first of many heavyweight contests to dominate the round of 16.

With both games kicking off at 8pm, if youre stuck working late, there are a phenomenal number of options when it comes to streaming the matches and tuning in to the live coverage from France.

Whether you are planning to watch the action on a home cinema system surrounded by speakers, catch-up on your tablet during your commute home, or find yourself sneakily watching in the corner of your computer at work, Express.co.uk has rounded up the best ways to watch.

BBC and ITV have split all of the 51 matches that make up the Euro 2016 tournament, which is good news for those who want to stream the games online, since both broadcasters have a solid portfolio of mobile apps.

Saturday"s games are split between the two, as Wales vs Northern Ireland starts at 5pm on BBC One, with Portugal vs Croatia on ITV from 8pm.

ITV will also be showing England"s last 16 game against Iceland on Monday, with kick-off set for 8pm.

Both BBC and ITV will show the final, which is set for 8pm on July 10th 2016.

If you want to see the Beeb and ITV coverage but dont have access to terrestrial channels through your TV dont panic, both broadcasters boast a comprehensive suite of smart TV apps.

BBC iPlayer is available on Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, BT Vision, Chromecast, EE TV, FreeSat, Freeview, NOW TV, Nvidia Shield, Roku, Sky HD, Sky Q, Talk Talk TV, Virgin Media and YouView.

Meanwhile, the ITV equivalent now named ITV Hub is available on Amazon Fire TV, YouView, BT Vision, Sky HD, Sky Q, Samsung TV, NOW TV, Freeview Play and Virgin Media.

Log-in to any of these smart TV or set-top box apps to stream the latest coverage, or catch-up on-demand.

And if your HD TV model is not supported by the above options, you can always stream the coverage from a Chrome web browser window to the big screen using a Google ChromeCast (here"s our in-depth review of the latest model, released by Google in the UK late last year).

It"s worth noting that you"ll need a valid TV Licence if you watch or record live programmes as it is a criminal offence in the UK to watch live television without a TV licence.

And if you"re away from home or a decent wifi connection you might want to avoid watching an entire match on your smartphone.

According to Carphone Warehouses Geek Squad, if your team makes it to the final and you"ve watch every game they play on your phone you"ll munch through a staggering 5GB of data. In fact, simply streaming one of the games via your 4G network will eat through around 720MB.

With most basic contracts only being bundled with around 2GB, watching any of the Euro matches could leave you running low on data.

Many mobile operators will allow you to buy extra data, but with some charging 10 for just 1GB you won"t want to run out too often.

If you"re short on mobile data, you will be able to watch highlights, goals and keep up with key moments on ITV"s Twitter feed.
