San Diego - blink-182

Blink-182 recently performed at the Good Morning America concert series in New York City"s Central Park.

The band performed some of their new songs, such as "Bored to Death" and some of their old favorites, like 1999"s "All The Small Things" and "What"s My Age Again?," 2001"s "The Rock Show" and 2003"s "Feeling This."

Alkaline Trio frontman Matt Skiba is currently replacing the band"s longtime member Tom DeLonge.

The band just released their seventh studio album, California, on July 1, which was the follow-up to 2011"s Neighborhoods. So far the only single produced from the album is "Bored To Death," which topped the Billboard Alternative Songs chart and landed at number three on Billboard"s Rock Airplay chart.

Tour de France 2016: A day in the life of a sporting director

Cérémonie de présentation des coureurs - Tour de France 2016

7.30am The alarm clock rings. In the first 10 seconds you try to figure out where you are. Being in a new hotel every day can be confusing.

8am Eggs and bacon

9am Visit each rider in his hotel room to clear tactics for the day before the team meeting, which will be held in the bus at the stage start. Tactics are agreed the night before; discussing them individually now means everyone is on the same page at the meeting. Sometimes the riders have better ideas than the SDs (sporting directors) Tony Martins Mulhouse stage win in 2014 came from an idea of Michal Kwiatkowski, and the SDs werent in favour at first.

10.30am The whole team takes off for the start; usually the mechanics drive the sports directors cars. Some SDs jump in the bus but I like to drive with my mechanic. A good mechanic could also make a good SD, because he will understand the race, tactics, radio Tour and the riders. The way we work is sort of like a marriage: we spend many hours together.

11am At normal races we calculate to be at the start area one hour before the off, and always keep 15 minutes in reserve for traffic. But at Le Tour we try to be there up to 1hr 45min before the start.

First we always have the team meeting usually this is about lead-out, the roads, the weather, maybe a pep talk. Sometimes the riders need to laugh rather than be pushed to the limit. If its going to be a bunch sprint, Tom Steels [an SD] will show a PowerPoint of the finish. The best thing is when a leader tells his team-mates how he wants them to ride: Cav [former team member Mark Cavendish] is brilliant at creating a winning mood. One rider, who I wont name, used to be on Facebook during meetings.

Then we speak to the press. Better results means more press; scandals also mean more press.

12.30pm The race starts, and in the neutralised zone some riders come back to the team car to adjust seatpost, handlebar, cleats etc. In the past every rider would drop by the mechanics every day to adjust their bikes but now they are more likely to spend their time on social media.

12.30-5pm The most important tactic is to say yes or no. I only use the race radio when I am 100% certain of something. The riders are stressed, tired and focused, so the last thing they need is an SD who cant make up his mind. Steels leaves 20 minutes before the race and feeds back info about the road conditions, the wind, and how fast the corners are in the last 10km; I pass it to the riders.

5pm At the finish we answer questions from the press. Sometimes I wonder how a journalist can wait at the finish for more than an hour and the smartest question he can figure out to Cavendish is: Are you out of shape? That gives Cav a Billy Idol lip or whisky mouth.

6pm After the stage there is usually a transfer to the next hotel. The mechanic drives and I write a race report for the management group of 12 people. The key thing is to write stuff our colleagues cant read on Cyclingnews.com or Het Nieuwsblad: why did something go wrong or what went well in the race? Did we screw up the tactic or was there a mechanical problem? Was someone ill or just tired?

Another golden rule: you fuel up the car before you get to the hotel.

7pm At the hotel: on most days this is about when we get to our rooms. Every two days I run 10km. Its good for the head and weight.

The SDs get together and start planning for the next day: tactics, logistics, guests. If things have really gone wrong we see the riders one by one or have an extra team meeting to solve any problems. The rule is to give the riders s**t collectively, and critical feedback individually.

Some SDs visit riders individually after each stage, but when I was a rider I hated having the SD in my room, because there is very little privacy in a Grand Tour. So Inever visit a riders room after a race. But all SDs are different and so are the riders. After a few years with a rider we know if he needs a visit or not.

8.30pm Dinner. In a good team riders arrive at the dinner table together and leave together. The good old days are over, and not many teams drink alcohol at the table any more unless we win or someone has a birthday.

Staff always eat half an hour after riders because they have to finish bikes and massage. Of all staff, the soigneurs are the hardest working: first out of bed and last into bed. They are alchemists, who turn the riders concrete legs into diamonds.

11.30pm Bedtime. I enjoy the silence because explosions are always waiting around the next corner (trust me). Every day brings something new: a great win, a horrible loss, a crash, a smashed car, a fight between staff. The job will never be boring, which is why we love it.

Last rule: always sleep eight hours, then we can solve all problems. Good night! Tomorrow we will smash everybody, Ijust know it.

Mega Millions Jackpot Now Third-Largest Amount in History of Game: An Estimated $415 Million

Winning numbers for Mega Millions $415M jackpot

Bakersfield - Whats more American than baseball, fireworks and huge lottery jackpots this Fourth of July holiday weekend?! Not only does the Mega Millions jackpot stand at an estimated $415 million for tonights draw, the Powerball jackpot is drafting right behind at an estimated $243 million for tomorrow nights drawing!

Heres what you need to know about Mega Millions: The estimated $415 million jackpot is the third-largest Mega Millions jackpot of all time (see chart below) and the 10th-largest jackpot in U.S. history. The jackpot amount has rolled a whopping 31 times since the jackpot reset to $15 million on March 12, 2016.

The last time the Mega Millions jackpot was hit was on March 8 when Michael Burkett won $157 million after matching all six numbers on a ticket he purchased in Seattle. The last time a Californian won the Mega Millions jackpot was back on August 22, 2014. Rick Knudsen claimed the $180 million prize after matching all six numbers on a ticket he purchased in Calimesa (Riverside County).

If someone wins the Mega Millions jackpot tonight, theyll have the option of taking the $415 million spread out over 30 years or taking a lump sum amount (before federal taxes) of $286.4 million. If nobody wins, the jackpot will roll to an estimated $449 million for Tuesday nights draw ($313.3 million lump sum amount)!

Powerball is getting up there as well! The estimated $243 million jackpot-amount for tomorrow night may seem rather paltry compared to the record $1.586 billion jackpot from January; but keep in mind, the January 13 jackpot was once at $227 million before it snowballed to more than $300 million, then to half a billion then to nearly a billion and the rest is history!

And, dont forget about Californias own in-state jackpot game! We know there are a lot of SuperLotto Plus fans, and that jackpot stands at not too shabby $13 million for tomorrow nights draw.

If a California Lottery retailer should sell the winning ticket for either Mega Millions, Powerball or SuperLotto Plus, that business would win big as well. It would receive a bonus of one half a percent of the jackpot prize up to a maximum of $1 million. (Since the retailer bonus is from a separate fund, retailers do not have to wait for the winner to come forward to get paid. It also means the winner doesnt have to share their prize.) And you of course cannot put a price tag on the publicity the winning retailer would receive as the lucky spot to buy lottery products going forward!

Remember, as all of the jackpots continue to grow, the California Lottery would like to remind players that gambling should be fun. Borrowing money to play, spending above a persons budget or using money intended for other purposes can ultimately lead to significant problems for players and their families. If a player recognizes that they have a gambling problem or if someone knows of someone who may have a problem, the Lottery recommends calling the Problem Gambling Help Line at 1-800-GAMBLER.

The Lottery has produced a couple of Win Wisely videos as part of our corporate social responsibility efforts. Reporters and players can view them at the following links on our California Lottery YouTube channel:

Keep in mind this is entirely part of the Lotterys continued effort to give out more prizes, create more winners and most importantly, earn more money for California public schools!

Jeremy Lin could cash in big with free agency

林書豪 Jeremy Lin"s Offense & Defense Highlights 2016-05-02 Playoffs R1G7 Hornets VS Heat

As free agency madness approaches, don"t forget about Jeremy Lin.

The star of a brief state of NBA euphoria known as "Linsanity, Lin opted out of his contract with the Charlotte Hornets, according to the Charlotte Observer, forgoing a $2.2 million player option to explore unrestricted free agency.

It was an anticipated move that could net Lin an eight-figure deal because the NBA salary cap expanded by a third and the point guard market isn"t particularly deep. He may be able to get as much as $12 million to up his career earnings beyond $40 million.

Lin will hold meetings in Palo Alto, Calif., with three clubs, according to ESPN"s Chris Broussard.

Last season Lin averaged 11.7 points on 41.2 percent shooting, 33.6 from beyond the arc, and chipped in three assists per game as a reserve for the Hornets.

Among the suitors could be the New York Knicks, with whom Lin broke onto the NBA scene in dramatic fashion.

"It"s not looking likely, because they just traded for Derrick Rose," Lin said at the World Economic Forum in China. "But I will say, ever since I left I"ve been open to going back, and I still am. Never say never. That"s the one thing in the NBA: Never say never. So I"ve always been open. But right now, I"m not sure it"s the best timing. But if it happens, it happens."

NBA free agency grades: Hassan Whiteside, Jeremy Lin and Andre Drummond deals get high marks

Jeremy Lin Top 10 Plays of Career

Hassan Whiteside

The deal: Four years, $98 million with the Miami Heat

The analysis: Whitesides remarkable transformation from castoff to max player is officially complete. Hewas going to get a max offer this summer, and within hours of free agency beginning the big manhad two: one from the Heat, and another from the Dallas Mavericks.

After sleeping on it, Whiteside agreedto a four-year deal to stay on South Beach with the team that rescued him from the NBA scrap heap last season.

The grade: B+

Signing Whiteside to this kind of deal certainly comes with some risk. Theres a reason he bounced around the world before eventually finding a home with the Heat, and it had nothing to do with his massive frame or talent. Still, the thought was Whiteside would wind up working out if he stayed with a an organizationlike the Heat, with plenty of infrastructure around him. By agreeing to remain in Miami, hes assured that will happen.

One other thing that brings this grade up a hair: Whiteside, per multiple reports, is willing to be flexible to help bring Kevin Durant to Miami. That could help the Heat quite a bit.

Jeremy Lin

The deal: Three years, $36 million (including player option for the third season)

The analysis: This was one deal that made too much sense not to happen. The Nets were in desperate need of a starting point guard, and Lin was said to be intent on finding a starting job. Combine the fact he can be a marketing sensation for a Nets team in need of attention and Lins longstanding relationship and affection for new Coach Kenny Atkinson, and this had to happen.

The grade: A

Just like the marriage itself, this deal is a great one for both sides. The Nets got a steal getting Lin to come to them at about $12 million per season, given hes arguably the second-best point guard available and they so badly needed a starter. But Lin getting a player option after the second year will allow him to get back into the market at 29 if he so choosesmaking this a good deal on his end, too.

Bradley Beal

The deal: Five years, $128 million

The analysis: This deal was always going to happen. When Beal and the Wizards didnt come to an agreement on a max contract extension last fall, the expectation was theyd get one done once free agency began, as that would net the Wizards an extra several million dollars in salary cap space. So it came as no surprise when, early on the first day of free agency, the two sides hammered out an agreement for a full max contract for the 23-year-old shooting guard.

The grade: B

For the reasons stated above, this deal was always going to happen. The Wizards did well to not give Beal any kind of option on the end of the deal, so presuming hes healthy theyll have him locked up all the way through his mid-20s the ideal time to have a player under contract. Because it comes with some risk, though (Beal has only played 70 or more games once in his four year career) this cant get a top grade, though.

Andre Drummond

The deal: Five years, $128 million (early termination option on the fifth year)

The analysis: Like Beal, this was always going to happen. Drummond, an all-star center and one of the best young big men in the game, is the centerpiece of Detroits rebuilding project under Coach Stan Van Gundy, and has a close relationship with owner Tom Gores. This was just a matter of getting the deal done.

The grade: A

The only thing that could take this down from an A grade, given Drummonds age and stature within the league, is the early termination option. But the Pistons gained about $15 million in space to improve the roster around him by waiting from the fall until now, making that trade off worth it. Now well see how Detroit uses the extra money at its disposal.

Nicolas Batum

The deal: Five years, $120 million with the Charlotte Hornets

The analysis: For the past month, the recurring word about Batums free agency was he was going to eventually agree to a five-year deal to return to the Hornets, who had traded for him a year ago and watched him lead them into the playoffs.

It had seemed Batum might be more interested in surveying the market after agreeing to meet with the Mavericks and phone conversations with a couple of teams Friday morning, including the Washington Wizards. But Batum and the Hornets eventually cameto an agreement on a five-year contract and took the French guard off the market before sunrise.

The grade: A

This deal couldnt have gone better for Charlotte. Everyone knew the Hornets needed to hang onto Batum after they dealt away a former lottery pick in Noah Vonleh to get him from the Portland Trail Blazers last June. But not only did the Hornets hang onto one of the most sought-after free agents on the market, they also convinced him to take about $30 million less than themaximum over the life of the contract. Those savings could help the Hornets keep Marvin Williams and Courtney Lee, their two best free agents theyre likely able to keep. Charlotte would love to keep Jeremy Lin, but hed like a starting job something he cant get with the Hornets. That combination of getting a must-do deal done and saving money at the same time makes this an easy grade.

Jordan Clarkson

The deal: Four years, $50 million with the Los Angeles Lakers

The analysis: Clarkson was one of several restricted free agents who was never expected to leave his current team. And, just a few hours after the start of free agency, the Lakers made sure he stuck around locking up Clarkson to a four-year deal to keep one of their young core pieces in place for years to come.

Clarkson may become a Jamal Crawford-like presence off the bench in Los Angeles as a scoring guard, but hes been a home run of a selection as the No. 46 pick in the 2014 NBA draft. Along with DAngelo Russell, Julius Randle and Brandon Ingram, the No. 2 pick in this years draft, Clarkson is part of what Los Angeles hopes will become an attractive core to free agents next summer and beyond.

The grade: B-

This contract is fine, and right about what Clarkson was supposed to get if he got a back-loaded offer sheet in free agency. If the Lakers had allowed him to receive one of those offer sheets, they wouldve had Clarkson locked in at an artificially low contract this year and next, giving them more salary cap space to spend. But the per-year rate wont be terrible on this deal, and the Lakers wont have to deal with a massive salary cap spike in the back half of the deal now, either.

DeMar DeRozan

The deal: Five years, $139 million with the Toronto Raptors

The analysis: Toronto gets its man. DeRozan will now be in position to shatter just about every franchise record after agreeing to return to the team hes spent his entire career with since being the No. 9 pick in the 2009 NBA draft.

DeRozan has his flaws. Hes not a great shooter, and hes not really capable of guarding small forwards. But hes excellent at getting to the foul line, is a good midrange shooter and is a leader of this Raptors team alongside Kyle Lowry. After Toronto put together the best three-year stretch infranchise history, bringing back DeRozan is a sign the Raptors will carry the success theyve had into the next few years.

The grade: B+

Five years for DeRozan isnt ideal, but hes now locked up for his age27-31 seasons basically covering the rest of his prime. And because he gave Toronto a bit of a discount, to the tune of about $13 million over the life of the deal, the Raptors mayfind a way to also bring back their other prominent free agent, Bismack Biyombo. Considering this was expected to be a five-year max, though, the Raptors did well to get him for less.

Timofey Mozgov

The deal: Four years, $64 million with the Los Angeles Lakers

The analysis: The Lakers wanted a meeting with Kevin Durant, but couldnt get one. The Lakers wanted a meeting with Hassan Whiteside, but couldnt get one. So they wentafter Mozgov, locking him up within an hour of free agency beginning early Friday morning.

Mozgov never got on track last season with the Cleveland Cavaliers after struggling to recover from offseason knee surgery. He spent much of the postseason on the bench as theCavaliers won Clevelandsfirst championship in more than50 years. But instead of his market value taking a hit, he wound up with a similar deal to the one he wouldve likely nabbed if hed been a free agent a year agoafter helping to carryCleveland to within two wins of a title despite missing Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving with injuries.

The grade: C-

The Lakers got their man, and Mozgov will likely wind up being a better deal than, say, the contract Joakim Noah is closing in on with the Knicks for the same number of years and more money despite him being two years older. But even in the inflated cap environment the NBA finds itself in, this feels like an overpay. After mostly striking out the past couple of years in free agency, its understandable why the Lakers would need to overpay to get someone they want. And if Mozgov canregain his form from the 2014-15 season and postseason, this deal will look all right.

Queen Cersei sides with Ewan McGregor, slams Boris Johnson

Boris Johnson out of contest for Conservative Party leadership - BBC News

LONDON If there"s one person you really don"t want to get on the wrong side of, it"s Cersei.

Boris Johnson who argued for the UK to leave the European Union, won, and then announced yesterday that he wouldn"t be running for prime minister after all no longer merely has the wrath of a nation to contend with.

Now, it appears he"s also upset the current ruler of the Seven Kingdoms.

Following Johnson"s announcement yesterday, Twitter went into a frenzy of memes. Plenty of celebrities also chipped in with their thoughts, including actor Ewan McGregor (who, judging by the tweet below, wasn"t exactly thrilled with Boris" recent decisions).

Late Thursday night, Lena Headey (a.k.a. Cersei "Burn them all" Lannister) took to Twitter to back him up.

Ouch.

She wasn"t the only Game of Thrones actor to support McGregor, either.

Daniel Portman who plays the mild-mannered Pod in the show and also retweeted McGreggor"s original post made his views pretty clear, too.
