Foreign Minister Julie Bishop has confirmed three Australians were injured in the Bastille Day terrorist attack (pictured) in Nice

As part of the annual BBR Bastille Day French cultural festival near Circular Quay, a vigil was organised

Foreign Minister Julie Bishop said one of the three people injured was a woman but details are not known about the other two.

"They have suffered minor injuries, seeking to flee the scene, to get away from the scene," she said on Friday."We areworking to provide consularassistance to all three.

Ms Bishop said the Australian ambassador had spoken to her about how the attacks had "rocked France to it"s core".

One of the injured Australian women, who was on a Top Deck tour, injured her leg and was taken to the hospital but is in stable condition, according to her friend, Hannah Ellison, 18, who had been travelling with her.

Hannah, from Tamworth in north-west NSW, was watching the fireworks when she heard people begin to scream, saw the truck heading for the crowd and jumped out of the way, her mother Shirley Ellison told Daily Mail Australia.

Ms Ellison said her daughter and the group of girls she had become friends with on the tour jumped out of the way of the truck "just in time."

"She was crying on the phone, she could see dead people everywhere, all over the road. I think she was still in shock," Ms Ellison said.

"At that point I thought it was just a car accident, I thought maybe the driver had a heart attacked. Itwasn"tuntil later we realised it was a terrorist attack."

Ms Ellison said her daughter has worked part-time at a chemist and saved for two to three years for her trip to Europe.

She travelled to Europe only eight days ago and quickly made friends with a group of girls on a Top Deck Tour, she said.

"You do see the Paris thing last year and it is in the back of your mind but you always think it just wont happen to her. She"s been enjoying it so much before this," Ms Ellison said.

Fellow AustralianBridget De Jong, a 22-year-old from Sydney, was in the same crowd watching the firework show and had to run past dead bodies in the street as she tried to hide in a side street.

The Australian embassy in Paris is urgently trying to find out if how many Australians have been caught up in the Bastille Day terror attack in the French city of Nice.

Anyone who believes they have Australian family and friends in the region are being urged by the Department of Foreign Affairs to contact them directly and Australians in Nice are asked to contact the Australian Embassy so DFAT can estimate how many people are in the country.

Ms Bishop"s comments come as it was revealed 22 Australian students previously unaccounted forhave been found and are safe, according to web developerRhys Lawry, 23.

"We"re incredibly lucky to be alive," he told Daily Mail Australia.

Mr Lawry said he and the group, which he had attended the 32016 European Innovation Academy with, had been celebrating Bastille Day.

"We heard the screams, people screaming and everyone was running in one direction. We thought we"d better start running too and it just got faster and faster and you"ve just got this panic," Mr Lawry said.

"There were just hundreds of people running and it became a massive stampede. The cops were yelling, "Run! Run! Keep going!"

Australia"s Governor General Peter Cosgrove is in Paris and released a statement following the attack.

"We are in shock tonight in Paris as we learn about the tragic events unfolding in Nice. On a day where Australians marched alongside their French counterparts this cruel attack has struck innocents celebrating their national day. Our deepest thoughts and sympathies are with the government and people of France," he said.

If unable to reach them, Australians should call the 24 hour Consular Emergency Centre on 1300 555 135 or +61 2 6261 3305 if calling from overseas.

Nintendo to Re-Release NES Games, No Blowing Necessary

Nintendo Announces The "Mini NES", Launching In November

Nostalgic gaming fans can stop digging through their attics. Nintendo surprised traditionalists on Thursday with a new way to defeat Dr. Wily, Mother Brain and Bowser.

The company announced that a mini-replica of its original NES console, first released in 1985, will be available on Nov. 11, preloaded with 30 of its most recognizable games and priced at $59.99.

Called the NES Classic Edition, it will fit in a single hand and come with an HDMI cable and AC adapter to plug into modern TVs, plus one classic controller. Extra controllers will cost $9.99 apiece.

The list of games features several of Nintendos biggest hits, including the first three Super Mario Bros. games, the first two Zelda games, Mega Man 2, Metroid and Excitebike.

We wanted to give fans of all ages the opportunity to revisit Nintendos original system and rediscover why they fell in love with Nintendo in the first place, Reggie Fils-Aime, president of Nintendo of America, said in a statement.

Nintendo is hoping to tap into the nostalgia that helped propel the Pokmon Go app into a gaming behemoth in just days, even surpassing usage numbers for Twitter, according to SimilarWeb, a tracking firm.

Though Nintendo didnt create the mobile game its the work of Niantic Inc., a start-up spun out of Google last year the Pokmon franchise is partly owned by Nintendo and appeals to roughly the same generation that grew up playing the NES.

While the proliferation of smartphones has made gaming explode on mobile devices, Nintendo steadfastly stuck to its focus on hardware until last year, when it announced a partnership with the Japanese mobile gaming company DeNA. The two companies released Miimoto in March, and plan to release two more this year: Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem.

Its consoles have not fared so well recently. The most recent one, Wii U, has had disappointing sales, lagging behind its rivals, Microsofts Xbox One and Sonys PlayStation 4. Nintendo plans to unveil its next console, code-named NX, in 2017.

Oh, and that habit you had of blowing on the NES cartridges to make them work? That never actually helped. Sorry.

Heres a full list of games on the upcoming NES Classic Edition.

Red Sox acquire lefty Drew Pomeranz for prospect Anderson Espinoza

Bryce Harper vs. Drew Pomeranz
Dave Dombrowski might have finished off his trade-deadline shopping two weeks early. The Red Sox have acquired San Diego lefty Drew Pomeranz, according to multiple reports, in exchange for top prospect Anderson Espinoza. Pomeranz might wind up being the best pitcher moved in a thin market for starting pitching, even if his relatively short track record of effectiveness makes his acquisition a significant risk. His 2.47 ERA in 17 starts for the Padres this season earned him his first trip to the All-Star Game, but this is the first season in which he has pitched more than 100 innings in the major leagues. But a confluence of circumstances have rendered the July trade market for starting pitching as thin is it has been in recent memory. The best pending free agent might be ex-Red Sox lefty Rich Hill, who brings with him a similarly short record of effectiveness as a starter in the major leagues and Hill will be a free agent after this season. Oakland and Atlanta appeared to have significant price tags for Sonny Gray and Julio Teheran, respectively, in part because no urgency compels either team to trade its best pitcher anytime soon. It wasnt Dombrowski who acquired Joe Kelly or Rick Porcello, but Pomeranz appears to represent the late-blooming starting pitcher the Red Sox tried to bring aboard when they targeted both Kelly and Porcello. The 27-year-old Pomeranz was the No. 5 overall pick in the 2010 draft and was the centerpiece of the Ubaldo Jimenez trade a year later, sending him to the Colorado Rockies. But he struggled upon introduction to the major leagues in Colorado, posting a 4.93 ERA in 22 starts in his first full season in the major leagues in 2012. It wasnt until the Rockies traded him to Oakland in 2014 that he got his feet under him, posting a 3.08 ERA in duty split between starting and relieving. The Athletics traded him to San Diego last winter, at which point he put together his best season. Pomeranz this season has struck out 115 hitters and walked 41 in 102 innings pitched, and his adjusted ERA+ (161) ranks seventh in the major leagues, between Johnny Cueto (162) and Jose Fernandez (159). That Pomeranz is not slated for free agency until after the 2018 season is significant. Boston didnt have any front-end starters coming up through the upper levels of its farm system, and the free agent market this winter was just as thin as the trade market this month. If the Red Sox didnt add a pitcher like Pomeranz now, it was going to be just as difficult to do so in November or December and perhaps next July as well. In Espinoza, the Red Sox surrender their top pitching prospect and one of the consensus top 25 prospects in the game. But Espinoza is just 18 years old, and Pomeranz himself is a reminder of just how long it can take even the most talented of prospects to put it all together if they ever do. Espinoza posted a modest 4.38 ERA in 17 starts at Class-A Greenville, but his youth and his tools made him the most exciting pitching prospect the Red Sox had had in years. Groome signs On the same day news of the Pomeranz trade broke, however, the Red Sox reportedly signed first-round draft pick Jason Groome to an above-slot bonus ($3.65 million). Groome was a contender for the No. 1 overall pick in Junes draft, a lefty who touches 97 with an elite curveball who fell in part due to concerns of signability. The Pomeranz trade also came one day after multiple radar guns reportedly clocked Red Sox pitching prospect Michael Kopech at a remarkable 105 mph in a start for Class-A Salem a reminder that Espinoza was hardly the only pitcher in the system with ace upside. Tazawa on DL The team also placed righty reliever Junichi Tazawa on the 15-day disabled list with right shoulder pain. Right-handed pitcher William Cuevas was recalled from Triple-A Pawtucket.

Why is Tunisia, success story of the Arab Spring, home to so many terrorists?

People and Power - Tunisia"s Dirty Secret

A Frenchman of Tunisian origin helped organise the attack on the Paris offices of the French magazine Charlie Hebdo. Boubaker al-Hakim, born in Paris in 1983, held French and Tunisian nationality. He fought in Iraq in 2003-4 and was jailed in France for trying to recruit other Europeans to join him. After the Arab Spring in 2011 he returned to Tunisia and from there went to fight in Syria.

Tunisia used to be mistaken for an oasis of secularism. In fact, Salafist radicals began to emerge within Tunisia in the 2000s, fuelled by religious programmes on newly-available satellite television channels and by the suffocation of an authoritarian state which imposed an official "tolerant"vision of Islam. Many were jailed, only to be released in 2011 in an amnesty after the fall of the Ben Ali regime.

Rather than dampening radicalism, the transition to democracy has instead propelled it. Radical Salafists took advantage of the power vacuum and widespread social and economic inequality to press ahead with recruitment.

Personal ties explain why large groups of young people have emptied particular neighbourhoods, in Ettadhamen, near Tunis, Bizerte, in the north, or Ben Gardane, near the Libyan border, in order to fight abroad.

Bret Michaels, Foreigner, and Chicago Highlight Late "80s "Greatest Hits"

Bret Michaels - Raine

This weeks episode of ABCs summer series, Greatest Hits, focused on the music from 1985 to 1990. Bret Michaels started off the show with his classic party hit, Nothin But A Good Time, to get the crowd in a good mood. Although, the majority of the show was dominated by some of the 80s best ballads.

Foreigner was joined onstage by Nate Ruess, the lead singer of fun, for a fun rendition of the rock bands ballad, I Want to Know What Love Is. The English/American group wasnt the only band from the 70s and 80s to perform with a contemporary artist, Chicago and Aloe Blacc crushed a couple of the Windy City bands classics together. They started off with Look Away and then brought it home with Youre the Inspiration.

There was one group that wasnt from the 80s and that was Wilson Phillips. Carnie Wilson, Wendy Wilson, and Chynna Phillips dominated 1990 with hit after hit, and the entire Greatest Hits crowd sang along with them as they belted out their greatest hit, Hold On.

Although, the show wasnt just about classic songs, it was also about the girls that danced to those songs. The shows host, Arsenio Hall, handed out the coveted Greatest Video Babe Lifetime Achievement Award to Tawny Kitaen, something every little girl dreams of achieving.

Greatest Hitsairs Thursday at 9pm on ABC.
