Angelina Jolie to Divorce Brad Pitt, Ending "Brangelina"

It was a grand Hollywood romance that made its presence felt far and wide, from the red carpet to refugee camps in the worlds trouble spots.

It was chronicled in lavish photo spreads in high-end fashion magazines and in paparazzi shots that appeared in the tabloids and on the gossip sites, as if to undercut the couples mythic status.

Now, with a lawyers blandly worded press statement on Tuesday morning, the love story of Angelina Jolie Pitt and Brad Pitt, who were married in 2014, has come to an unhappy end.

This decision was made for the health of the family, Robert Offer, a lawyer for Ms. Jolie Pitt, said in the statement. She will not be commenting, and asks that the family be given its privacy at this time.

The announcement came a little over two years after the couple married in a ceremony before roughly 20 friends and family members in a Romanesque chapel on the grounds of Chteau Miraval, their estate in the South of France. The couples six children, three of them adopted, attended the bride and groom. The master tailor Luigi Massi of Atelier Versace made Ms. Jolie Pitts wedding dress, incorporating designs from her childrens drawings.

In keeping with the public nature of their relationship, Mr. Pitt and Ms. Jolie Pitt sold the photographs of their wedding day to People and Hello! magazines for a reported $5 million. In keeping with their habit of giving to charity, the couple contributed the payment to the Jolie-Pitt Foundation.

When their romance became public, the tabloids were quick to dub them Brangelina. At the time, she was a divorced mother of an adopted son, Maddox, having ended her marriage to the actor Billy Bob Thornton in 2003. Mr. Pitt was still married to the Friends star Jennifer Aniston.

Ms. Aniston filed for divorce from the actor in March 2005. That summer a spread appeared in the large-format glossy magazine W. Shot by Steven Klein and headlined Domestic Bliss: Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt at Home, it comprised 60 pages of photographs of Mr. Pitt, Ms. Jolie and five boys (all of them models) who somewhat resembled Mr. Pitt, in a chic, early 1960s setting.

Their most recent project as a couple, the 2015 film By the Sea, directed by Ms. Jolie Pitt, told a different story. Meta with a vengeance, By the Sea stars Angelina Jolie Pitt and Brad Pitt as itinerant married artists who are suffering, beautifully, through a rough patch, wrote Manohla Dargis in her review for The New York Times.

Asked about the process of directing her husband, Ms. Jolie Pitt told Vanity Fair, A few friends asked if we were crazy. The moody film was a box-office flop, grossing $3.3 million.

During the course of their relationship, the Jolie Pitt clan expanded. In addition to Maddox, 15, whom she adopted in Cambodia in 2002, the couple are parents to Zahara, 11, from Ethiopia; Shiloh, to whom she gave birth in Namibia in 2006; Pax, 12, adopted in Vietnam; and the twins Vivienne and Knox, 8, to whom Ms. Jolie Pitt gave birth in 2008.

Ms. Jolie Pitt and Mr. Pitt have separately discussed struggling with self-destructive behavior in their younger years. Both seemed to have overcome the dark periods, with a slew of high grossing, critically acclaimed films to their names and a well-documented commitment to philanthropy.

She began working for the United Nations in 2000 as a good-will ambassador, and became the special envoy for the United Nations high commissioner for refugees in 2012.

She has gone on dozens of missions to countries around the world, including Iraq, Jordan and Myanmar. Last year she addressed the United Nations Security Council, arguing that the United Nations was failing the people of Syria. Earlier this month, Ms. Jolie Pitt spent three days at the Azraq camp in Jordan, which is home to more than 37,000 Syrian refugees, according to the United Nations.

During her years with Mr. Pitt, she had box office hits with the action movie Wanted and the Disney fantasy Maleficent while also making a name for herself as a director of serious fare like In the Land of Blood and Honey, a love story set against the backdrop of the Bosnian War, and Unbroken.

He has won an Oscar for producing the critically acclaimed 12 Years a Slave and has been nominated for several other Oscars, including for best actor for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and for Moneyball. He was also nominated for a best supporting actor Golden Globe for his role in Babel.

In 2013 Ms. Jolie Pitt wrote a candid and widely praised Op-Ed page essay for The New York Times about choosing to have a preventative double mastectomy. She followed it up in 2015 with an essay on her next preventative surgery, during which her ovaries and fallopian tubes were removed.

While he wears his political commitments more lightly than Ms. Jolie Pitt, Mr. Pitt is a co-founder of Not on Our Watch, a nongovernmental organization devoted to preventing genocide, and the founder of Make It Right, which builds homes and other structures for people in need.

Over the course of their time together, the couple demonstrated an unusual ability to negotiate with the media. After Shiloh was born in 2006, the couple sold photos of the mother and newborn to People magazine for an estimated $4.1 million, all of which they donated to charity. That same year they negotiated with People on another deal, giving the magazine exclusive photos of Ms. Jolie and Maddox for an estimated $750,000 and the promise to cover Ms. Jolie Pitts charity work.

Later, they received an estimated $14 million from People and Hello! magazines for shots of their twins and again donated the funds to charity.

On Tuesday, with the announcement of the split, the hashtag #Brangelina quickly became the top trending item on Twitter, with fans reacting to the news with a range of emotions, including laments over the death of love; complaints that the news was superseding President Obamas speech at the United Nations; and theories that the news was a welcome distraction from the presidential campaign.

Ms. Jolie Pitt was silent on the matter but Mr. Pitt gave a statement to People magazine: I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the well-being of our kids. I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time.

Correction: September 20, 2016

An earlier version of this article misstated the award Brad Pitt was nominated for after his role in Babel. It was a Golden Globe for best supporting actor, not an Oscar.

Cheyenne School Officials Pleased With ACT Scores - KGAB 650AM

Five students score perfect ACT scores

Laramie County School District #1 officials are pleased with the scores students in the district achieved in the most recent round of ACT testing.

Steve Newton, LCSD#1 Director of Instruction, says the average test scores for the district went up by a full half point. He says that while that may not sound like a lot, the national and state average ACT scores dont usually change much at all, so a half point increase is actually quite good.

He says that when LCSD#1 is taken out of the state numbers, the local numbers are actually about a point above the average score in the rest of Wyoming. the test is given to all high school juniors in Wyoming, including roughly 1,000 students in LCSD#1.

Among local high school students, every single score went up among Cheyenne East and Cheyenne South students taking the test.

Among Cheyenne Central students math reading and composite scores were up, while English and science scores were the same as last year.

Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie Divorcing, And Marion Cotillard Is The Cause?

ANGELINA JOLIE PEDE SEPARAÇÃO DO BRAD PITT POR MOTIVOS TENSOS? -Bafo do Dia

Will Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie divorce just weeks after celebrating their 2-year wedding anniversary?

For the past several months, Brad Pitt and his wife, the mother of his six kids, have faced ongoing rumors of a possibly impending divorce and now, fans are wondering if the couples potential split has come on the heels of a rumored affair with actress Marion Cotillard.

On September 19, Morning News USA noted a recent rumor regarding Brad Pitts potential interest in Gwyneth Paltrow, but that report was quickly shot down. Days prior, the Hollywood Gossip shared a photo of an In Touch Weekly cover, which read, Brad & Angelina: $400 million divorce.

Inside the magazine, it was noted that Jolie was suffering from jealousy troubles.

Although the insider didnt reveal who Jolie was jealous of, rumors continue to swirl regarding the chemistry, both on-screen and off, between Brad Pitt and his Allied co-star, Marion Cotillard.

For a while, the excitement of getting married masked their troubles, an insider told OK! Magazine, via Hollywood Life, but lately, theyve been having explosive fights. Neither of them is sure that they can or should, hang on anymore.

According to the report, Cotillard may be a factor in the marriage issues of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, and if Jolie were to find out that there was something going on between them, she would understandably be furious.

Jolie barely eats, she guzzles wine every night and she smokes constantly, the insider said. [Brad Pitt]s just exhausted from spending so much energy trying to get her to take better care of herself. Its been hard to watch the woman he loves waste away.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie began filming 2005s Mr. & Mrs. Smith when he was still married to Jennifer Aniston, but that didnt stop them from falling in love and in spring 2005, just weeks after Aniston filed for divorce, the couple went public with their romance during an outing with Jolies oldest adopted son Maddox, now 14, whom Pitt later adopted, in Kenya.

In a second report regarding Brad Pitts alleged connection with Cotillard, a source claimed he and his wife had been in crisis talks at their home in France due to his close relationship with the French actress.

She feels that if they really pour their hearts out to each other over sunset walks through the [estates] vineyards, she can keep [Brad Pitt] by her side and reignite their romance, a source told Life & Style magazine, according to a report by Gossip Cop.

According to the report, Jolie was suffering from intense jealous over Brad Pitts relationship with both Cotillard and his other female co-star, Lizzy Caplan.

Her intense jealousy over [Brad Pitts] Allied co-stars Marion Cotillard and Lizzy Caplan, and what he sees as her stubborn refusal to take care of herself after so many health scares, are among the couples marriage troubles, the source continued.

In response to the months-old report, a source told Gossip Cop the Life & Style story was all BS.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie celebrated their two-year wedding anniversary last month and share six children together. Since striking up a romance on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Brad Pitt and his wife have adopted three children, Maddox, 14, Pax, 12, and Zahara, 11, and welcomed three children of their own, 10-year-old daughter Shiloh and 8-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox.

"Fault in Our Stars" husband dies

Everything Wrong With The Fault In Our Stars

(CNN) - As the end approached, Katie Prager spoke to her husband from afar, unable to be with him.

Dalton Prager, the husband from the real-life "Fault in Our Stars" couple, died Saturday afternoon at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis at the age of 25, his parents told CNN.

Katie was in hospice in Flemingsburg, Kentucky, when her husband passed away. The couple FaceTimed as Dalton was dying, said Debra Donovan, Katie"s mother.

"She told him that she loved him," Donovan said. "We don"t know if he heard her."

"Dalton fought a long hard battle with cystic fibrosis," Katie posted on Facebook. "He was a courageous fighter and "give up" wasn"t in his vocabulary."

Dalton had been in the intensive care unit on a ventilator for about two weeks before he died.

Just last week, the family had hoped to have a medical transport company fly Dalton from Missouri to a hospital in Kentucky. They wanted him to recover there, and then drive to their home, where Katie is receiving hospice care.

But in the end, Dalton was never healthy enough to fly to Kentucky. They were never able to reunite for a final kiss.

The last time Katie and Dalton saw each other was July 16, their fifth wedding anniversary.

A risky meeting

Katie and Dalton"s romance began online when they were both 18.

The started to fall in love as they communicated on Facebook, but they knew meeting in person would be dangerous for Katie.

Dalton had Burkholderia cepacia, a highly contagious infection for people with cystic fibrosis. Katie didn"t.

Her doctors warned her not to meet with other CF patients, for fear of contracting the bacteria. Still, Katie asked Dalton to visit her in Kentucky.

"I told Dalton I"d rather be happy -- like really, really happy -- for five years of my life and die sooner than be mediocre happy and live for 20 years," Katie said earlier. "That was definitely something I had to think about, but when you have those feelings, you just know."

Two years later, in 2011, Dalton and Katie married. Both were 20 years old.

Katie did contract Burkholderia cepacia, and the husband and wife waited for transplants at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dalton"s came first, on November 17, 2014, and it was a success. In July 2015, after a long fight with Medicare, Medicaid and her hospital, Katie got her transplant, too.

But their medical struggles continued. Dalton seemed to do well at first after his transplant, but then developed lymphoma. He overcame the cancer, but then was recently hospitalized with pneumonia and a viral infection.

Katie"s transplant never worked well. She was in and out of the hospital, and earlier this month doctors told her there was nothing more they could do.

Five years together

Now there are the memories of Dalton, a friend to everyone, who loved to cook, travel and go antiquing. He dressed sharply, and enjoyed spending time outside in nature.

Katie fell for his smarts, his good looks and his charming personality. Days after they started talking online, she knew she would marry him. Nobody had ever made her feel that way before, she said -- like she was the only girl in the world.

"He was one of the greatest people I"d ever met and not many people like Dalton come around so you got to get him while you can," said Katie, now 26.

Dalton"s funeral will be on Wednesday in Missouri, where his family lives. A GoFundMe page was set up to cover Dalton"s remaining medical bills and funeral expenses.

The day before Dalton died, Katie told CNN she had no regrets about their decision to meet in person. For all the time spent sick or in the hospital, it"s the time they spent together that stands out to her.

"It gave me some of the best years of my life," she said. "I"d rather have five years of being in love and just really completely happy than 20 years of not having anybody."

Last updated on 20 September to include the "Rise of Iron" DLC release.

Destiny Rise of Iron DLC UK release date: When is Rise of Iron coming out?

Destiny Rise of Iron DLC release date: Out now - 20 September 2016 release date

On 20 September the new DLC was released, but due to high demand the Bungie servers have been overloaded and gamers are experiencing problems. When trying to download the new DLC gamers have been put in a queue (as seen below, in aqueue of 152,290!) - make sure to check @BungieHelp on Twitterfor up-to-date server information. It shoudl be mention that this coupled with a huge patch - details on Bungie"s website.

While Destiny was released back in 2014, interest in the game hasnt dwindled mainly thanks to how the game was designed, and the addition of DLC that keeps things interesting for players. However, it looked as if The Taken King was going to be the most prominent DLC available for the game, and the company had focused its efforts on Destiny 2.

This isn"t the case, however. Activision has announced whats in store for Destiny, with a major expansion on 20September 2016 (Rise of Iron DLC) and a sequel next year (which we come to below).

"Activision Publishing, along with its partners at Bungie, expects to bring a large new expansion toDestinyin 2016 and to release a full game sequel in 2017," the investor note reads. Activision was also keen to let investors (and everybody else for that matter) know that 25 million players have logged a combined 3 billion hours playing Destiny since its launch. A pretty impressive feat by any means!

What can we expect from the next DLC? According to the Bungie blog, we can expect the Rise of Iron to be something far larger than anything weve seen in Destiny since the release of The Taken King in September 2015. "The first of these early 2016 experiences will be on a scale close to Festival of the Lost. The second will be far larger than anything youve seen since the release of The Taken King. Theres even mention of another significant update planned but, this time, focused on the world itself and the sandbox.

Rise of Iron was originallyleaked on Reddit, and said tofeature a new raid (likely Fallen-themed)loosely based on the raid that was cut from last years House of Wolves DLC.

In June at E3 2016 the 20 September release date was confirmed alongside an official trailer, shown at the top of this page.

We discussed Gamescom on the UK Tech Weekly podcast. Listen here:

Bungie at Gamescom 2016

Update 20 September: The DLC is out now. The information below isstill relevant, but outdated.

Despite being only weeks away from launch, Bungie hosted a live stream during Gamescom 2016 showcasing gameplay from the upcoming Rise of Iron DLC, amongst other things. The best part of the live stream? The Bungie ViDoc, which is around 8:30 in length and is comprised mainly of gameplay footage from the DLC, givingus a sneak peek at what we"ll be experiencing in the Destiny universe in just under a month.

While you can watch the ViDoc below, in summary, we"re given a look at Felwinter Peak, the new home of the "Iron Lords" along with Plaguelands, a new environment. There are other features showcased too - but we won"t ruin all the surprises. Sit back, relax and enjoy the Bungie ViDoc:

Destiny DLC release date andprice: Can I buythe Destiny DLC?

Yes, those of you that are interested in purchasing the upcoming Destiny DLC can do so via a number of different retailers. The good (or bad, depending on your view) news is that the price is the exactly the same amongst retailers, meaning you"ll get the same deal whether you order on the PS Store or order via Amazon.

Those looking to order the content on Xbox One can only seem to be able to do so via the Microsoft Store, while PS4 players can order from GAME, the PlayStation Store or Amazon for 24.99.

Destiny 2 release date rumours: Destiny 2 announced with 2017 release date

Along with the announcement of new DLC for the existing Destiny game, Activision also announced a sequel to the hugely popular game due in 2017. Even though its still a year-long release date window, its great to have confirmation that Activision is actively working on Destiny 2, and that we dont have too long to wait until it comes out. We could speculate that itll be launching at some point in the Summer of 2017 (possibly as late as September) as the first Destiny game was released on 9 September 2014, and the pre-Christmas rush proved to work well in Bungies favour.

Destiny 2 gameplay rumours: What can we expect from Destiny 2?

So, what can we expect from the newly-announced Destiny 2? While details are, obviously, pretty scarce, the developers gave us a little insight into the planning process, while also noting that there will be more information available at some point in Spring. Writing on the Bungie blog, Design Lead Lars Bakken had this to say:

Well be plotting more specific waypoints as time goes on. Right now, there are hundreds of passionate people at Bungie working to turn the plan for Destinys future into the adventures, dangerous enemies, and glittering treasures that await us.As soon as were ready, well share the details with you in all the usual places. In the meantime, well keep the conversation rolling with the team on the support front. Were also gathering up details for spring as the team begins to lock it in.

It looks like well have some more information sooner rather than later, so make sure you check back regularly as well be updating this as soon as we have new information.

Real "Fault in our Stars" couple takes a tragic turn

Everything Wrong With The Fault In Our Stars

Last year, Katie Prager, who has cystic fibrosis, fought relentlessly to get a lung transplant as Medicare, Medicaid and her hospital quibbled over money.

Her husband, Dalton Prager, who also has cystic fibrosis, received a transplant, too.

The couple -- she"s 26 and he"s 25 -- dreamed that after their transplants they"d travel together to every state and write a book about their love story.

But last week, Katie was put into hospice at home. The transplant didn"t work, and her doctors say there"s nothing more they can do.

"My body is just so tired," said Katie, who has spent the past year and a half in and out of the hospital.

Her husband is fighting his own medical battles. Dalton contracted lymphoma as a result of his transplant, and has since been treated. But he"s now at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, near where his family lives, fighting pneumonia and a virus.

Katie said the plan now is for Dalton to be flown as soon as possible to the University of Kentucky Medical Center so he can be closer to her.

Katie hopes he"ll be discharged next week and can make the one-hour drive to her home in Flemingsburg, Kentucky.

"If we only get to spend a day and a night together, we"ll be happy with that," Katie said.

Romance, despite a warning

Katie and Dalton"s romance started with a Facebook message when they were both 18.

"If you ever need a friend to talk to, you can reach out to me," Katie wrote to Dalton after reading that he was very sick.

"Sorry, but do I know you?" he responded.

No you don"t, Katie wrote back, and told Dalton that she, too, had cystic fibrosis and was struggling.

As they started to fall in love over Facebook, the next step was to meet in person -- but for Katie, that was dangerous.

Dalton had been clear with her from the start that he had an infection, Burkholderia cepacia, a horribly dangerous and contagious infection for people with cystic fibrosis.

Her doctors warned her never to meet up with another CF patient, for fear of contracting the bacteria.

But Katie listened to her heart, even if it might hurt her lungs. She asked Dalton to come visit her in Kentucky.

"I told Dalton I"d rather be happy -- like really, really happy -- for five years of my life and die sooner than be mediocre happy and live for 20 years," Katie says. "That was definitely something I had to think about, but when you have those feelings, you just know."

Two years later, in 2011, Dalton and Katie were married. Both were 20 years old.

Her doctors" worst fears were realized: She did contract Burkholderia cepacia, and both Katie and Dalton waited for transplants at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Katie says she doesn"t regret making the decision to meet Dalton in person.

"I don"t look back because I can"t really change the past. I"ve had this time with Dalton and so I might as well keep looking forward," she said.

Messages to those she"ll leave behind

Katie said she also doesn"t dwell on why life gave her so many medical challenges.

"I don"t really look at it as unfair," she said. "Everybody has their own battles and G*d chose this battle for me."

"If it"s my time for Him to take me home, that"s His decision," she added. "If that"s what G*d has planned, then I"m ready."

She does worry that her family will be stuck with funeral expenses after she passes away, so she"s set up a YouCaring page for donations.

As Katie prepares to leave this earth, she has messages for those who will remain.

"Just love each other," she said. "If somebody makes you mad, just forgive them."

There are things she"s done she wishes she could take back, she said. She"s been calling people to ask for forgiveness, and said she has more calls to make.

Another message: Do what makes you happy.

"I always wanted to go to Florida, and I never went," she said. "I wish I had just gotten in my car and went -- it"s not that far away."

"But that"s OK," she added. "I"ll be seeing Florida from heaven."
