Oregon Ducks loss to Washington was followed by high emotions, another players meeting

Oregon Ducks Greatest Plays in History ᴴᴰ

Senior offensive guard Cameron Hunt was not the first Oregon Duck quoted this fall questioning teammates" motivations and effort amid a 2-4 start.

But "mine was the one that blew up," Hunt said Tuesday.

After a 70-21 blowout loss to Washington on Oct. 8, Hunt said 30 to 40 percent of the team did not care whether the Ducks won or lost, a comment that was picked up nationally. By virtue of his standing on the roster -- Hunt"s 37 career starts are eight more any other current Duck his words took on greater gravitas.

By the following weekend, UO coach Mark Helfrich was being asked about Hunt"s 30-to-40 percent estimate in an on-camera interview with ESPN"s College GameDay. As he had done multiple times in the week after Hunt"s comment, Helfrich denied such locker-room division, blaming Hunt"s quote on high emotionsfollowing an embarrassing loss to a rival, not reality.

"I think there was a little bit of emotion," Hunt said Wednesday. "What I was meaning to say was some guys on the team aren"t giving that full effort in that game and we need everyone to be invested and we need all effort to be successful."

Helfrich later spoke privately with Hunt about the matter.

It wasn"t the only discussion happening behind closed doors last week during Oregon"s bye.

Several players told ESPN.com that Oregon held yet another players-only meeting to clear the air during the bye. Therealso wasa players-only meeting after a loss to Colorado in late September, its second loss in UO"s current four-game losing streak, a meeting in which the message was said to be aimed at younger players to "grow up" and lose their entitlement.

Hunt confirmed the latest players-only meeting Tuesday and said it involved both offensive and defensive players but didn"t want to comment on what was said.

"That"s stuff that stays in house," he said. "We"re just trying to figure out some stuff."

For an Oregon team in last place in the Pac-12"s North Division, there is plenty of stuff needing to be figured out entering Friday night"s matchup with Cal in Berkeley"s Memorial Stadium.

Oregon"s defense is allowing 41.8 points per game, while the offense is hoping the combination of its Pac-12 leading running game and true freshman quarterback Justin Herbert can hold itsown against the kind of explosive production expected by cannon-armed Cal graduate transfer QB Davis Webb, who is third in the country in yards per game and passing touchdowns.

"We had several meetings last week and again, guys are on the same page, they have worked," Helfrich said."It was very spirited yesterday, kind of challenged the defense yesterday, they kind of bounced back (Tuesday)."

For as much as Hunt may now regret making his feelings known publicly "I"ve seen some positive feedback, and also seen the negative side of the media" he believes a good result could come from them yet if they can serve as a spark to the second half of this season.

"I think some position groups really took that to heart that maybe we need to approach this differently or be in "attack" mentality," Hunt said. "I think anytime you lose a game by that measure it kind of opens some eyes and really lets people know we have to change something. I think that sparked some intensity at practice this week and hopefully that can give us some momentum going into the weekend.

"Being able to win four of our next six games to get bowl-eligible is the goal and we"ve just go to follow coach Helfrich"s lead. I feel like a lot of our guys will do anything for coach Helfrich, so we"ll continue to try to win games."

Black Mirror recap: Season 3, Episode 3 | EW.com

Black Mirror trailer

In this episode, Black Mirror tackles the consequences of getting hacked, although it wouldnt be Black Mirror if those consequences werent the most extreme ones imaginable.

Shut Up and Dance opens with a short scene: A woman parks a car in a garage, nervously sends a text, and walks away. But shell be back before the end.

Next, we meet Kenny (Alex Lawther), who has a virus on his computer. He downloads a program from the Internet to get rid of it, but doesnt seem to consider the consequences of trusting some random program. Minutes after masturbating to Internet p**n, he gets an alarming email saying WE SAW WHAT YOU DID with a video attached. He gets a second email demanding his phone number or else the video will be leaked. He complies and receives a series of rapid texts ordering him to keep his location services on and telling him, WHEN TIME COMES YOU WILL BE ACTIVATED.

The next day, the hacker(s) order him to go to a location at a certain time. Another victim, a man on a motorcycle, delivers a box to him and documents it with a photo. When Kenny questions him, he says that once he does what they tell him, hes off the hook. How can this man know for sure if hes still a p**n in the game?

Now Kenny must deliver the box to a hotel room. He opens it to find a seemingly innocuous cake that reads I Love You. The man in the room, Hector (Game of Thrones Jerome Flynn), doesnt know who sent it, but then gets a series of texts and runs into the bathroom. His communication with the hackers has begun. Kenny asks the hackers if he can go. Theres a close-up of the three dots of the typing indicator as he waits anxiously for the response. TAKE HIS PHOTO, reads the new text.

Hector and Kenny must head to a new location with the cake. They go to an assigned car, the same one we saw the woman leave at the beginning of the episode. Hector reveals what the hackers have on him: Hes a married man who was at the hotel to meet a prostitute he found online. This fake escort website is how the hackers found him, and they have the n**e pictures he sent. When they arrive, they are instructed to rob a bank with a gun that is hidden in the cake.

Kenny successfully robs the bank, and the two are instructed to split up: Hector must destroy the car and Kenny must bring the money into the woods. There, he meets another victim. What they got you for? he asks Kenny. I just looked at some photos, he replies. Yeah, I just looked at pictures, too. How young were they, in the pictures? says his companion, revealing that hes being blackmailed for child p*********y. For an answer, Kenny just shakes his head.

Donald Trump attacks Michelle Obama as "loser"

Pt 2 What Did You Think Of Michel"le"s Movie Dissin Dr Dre "Surviving Compton"? 515-605-9341

Donald Trump, a desperate man whose campaign strategy is to swing a big stick at anything that moves, has finally taken to attacking First Lady Michelle Obama, calling her one of the babies and losers who are ruining the country.

We have bunch of babies running our country, folks. We have a bunch of losers. Theyre losers! Theyre babies! Trump said at a rally in North Carolina on Friday.

Then he started in on the Obamas: We have a president, all he wants to do is campaign. His wife all she wants to do is campaign. And I see how much his wife likes Hillary. But wasnt she the one that originally started the statement, If you cant take care of your home, right?

I dont hear that. Shes the one that started that. I said, We cant say that. Its too vicious. Can you believe it? Trump continued. They said, No, Michelle Obama said it. I said, She did? She said that but we dont hear about that.

For what its worth, Obama did use the line Trump was alluding to during the bitter 2008 Democratic presidential race. While campaigning in Chicago, Obama said, If you cant run your own house, you certainly cant run the White House, a remark that was interpreted as a swipe at Clinton.

But nearly a decade later, Obama has become one of Clintons toughest, most valuable assets on the campaign trail. Shes also one of the most well-liked first ladies in recent history and was by far the most popular speaker heading into the summer Democratic National Convention, with 58% telling Gallup that they approved of her.

Obama has also been landing some serious body blows on Trump recently, so this line of attacks makes perfect sense. But thats not to say its going to end well.

You can watch Trumps remarks below:

Is The Kylie Cosmetics Burgundy KyShadow Palette Sold Out? Better Luck Next Time, Fans

Honest Kylie Jenner Cosmetics Review + Demo

Kylie Cosmetics" popularity isn"t dying down any time soon. With mogul Kylie Jenner continuing to release new, surprise products on the regular, fans are going to continue to scramble to buy them. A prime example is the new Kylie Cosmetics Burgundy Palette. The palette debuted on Thursday, Oct. 20 to a mountain of anticipation, and in a not-so-surprising twist, the Burgundy Palette is officially sold out. If you wanted to snag it, looks like it"s time to be on the lookout for the next Kylie Cosmetics restock. Knowing Jenner, though, it won"t be long.

In an interesting twist, however, the Burgundy Palette has already beat out the Bronze Palette in terms of sell-out time. When the Bronze Palette debuted, it sold out in under a minute. My guess on why the Burgundy palette stuck around and took half an hour to sell out is because Jenner learned a serious lesson from her last KyShadow launch. With fans pretty ticked off about a sell-out in under a minute, I"d bet the stock for the Burgundy Palette was at least double that of the Bronze. Honestly, though, that makes the sell-out even more impressive.

On Thursday, Jenner didn"t just release the Burgundy Palette, though. She also restocked the Bronze palette alongside her four new fall lip kits and all of her previous kits. Basically, it"s a Kylie Cosmetics free-for-all over at the site.

So far, there"s been no announcement of whether or not Jenner will be restocking the palette any time soon. If she sticks to the same schedule as the previous KyShadow palette, I"d bet a restock is coming within the next week.

Some fans were lucky enough to get one, while others missed out:

Until then, however, it looks like you"ll just need a good KyShadow Burgundy palette alternatives. Don"t worry too much, though. Jenner loves her fans, and she"s not one to disappoint.

Orionid Meteor Shower 2016: When, Where & How to See It

Orionid Meteor Shower

Some of the brightest and swiftest shooting stars will bedazzle the night sky this month during the Orionid meteor shower, which will peak next Thursday and Friday (Oct. 20-21) and continue through early November.

NASA meteor expert Bill Cooke said the Orionid meteors are special because they are pieces of Comet 1P/Halley, commonly referred to as Halley"s Comet. This famous comet swings by Earth once every 75 to 76 years, so most people will have a chance to see it only once in their lifetime. "But every year, you can see pieces of Halley"s Comet during the Eta Aquarids[in May] and the Orionid meteor shower," Cooke said.

The Orionid meteor shower"s intensity varies from year to year. This year, skywatchers can expect about 15 to 20 meteors per hour, but in some years, they have exceeded rates of 70 to 80 per hour, Cooke said. And while there may not be a lot of them in the sky this year, they"re still worth checking out: Orionid meteors are known for being some of the fastest and brightest, sprinting across the sky at a relative speed of about 148,000 mph (238,000 km/h). "If you blink, you might miss them," Cooke said.

When to see them

This year"s Orionid meteors can already be seen; you have a chance to spot them any night from Oct. 2 to Nov. 7. But the best part of the show will happen between Oct. 20 and Oct. 21, during the meteor shower"s peak. Early morning, before dawn, is the best time to look for the meteors, Cooke said.

Moonlight could make the meteors a bit difficult to spot. October"s full "supermoon" will rise just a few days before the meteor shower"s peak viewing times. Meteors will streak through the sky at a rate of up to 20 per hour this year, but skywatchers can expect to see closer to 15 meteors per hour with the moonlight obstructing the view.

"A good thing about the Orionids is that they tend to either have a double peak or a flat maximum, which means that you can see good Orionid rates for two to three nights," Cooke said. "So if you miss it one night, you can go out the next night and see them."

Where to look

Orionid meteors are visible from anywhere on Earth and can be seen anywhere across the sky. They appear to originate in the constellation Orion, close to the bright-red star Betelgeuse.

Skywatchers can start looking for Orion low in the eastern sky before dawn on any morning around the peak, Oct. 20-21. The setup is seen here from mid-northern latitudes. Even though the radiant, or point of origin of the meteors is in Orion, meteors can appear far from the constellation.

If you find the shape of Orion the Hunter, the meteor shower"s radiant (or point of origin) will be near Orion"s sword, slightly north of his left shoulder. But don"t stare straight at this spot, Cooke said, "because meteors close to the radiant have short trails and are harder to see so you want to look away from Orion."

What causes the Orionids?

The Orionid meteor shower happens every year during October and November, when Earth"s orbit around the sun crosses paths with debris from Halley"s Comet. As the icy comet makes its way around the sun, it leaves behind a little trail of comet crumbs.

These tiny comet fragments some as small as a grain of sand are called meteoroids. When they enter Earth"s atmosphere, they become meteors. Friction from air resistance causes meteors to heat up, creating a bright, fiery trail commonly referred to as a shooting star. Most meteors disintegrate before making it to the ground. The few that do strike the Earth"s surface are called meteorites. [How Often Do Meteorites Hit the Earth?]

How to get the best view

As is the case with most nighttime skywatching events, light pollutioncan hinder your view of the Orionid meteor shower. The best place to be is somewhere with a dark sky, away from major cities.

Cooke recommended lying flat on your back and looking straight up at the sky. This way, you"ll be able to see more of the sky than you would if you were sitting or standing while facing just one direction.
