Alabama"s first game day of 2016 started with a jolt as a 5.6 magnitude earthquakewas felt in the team hotel Saturday morning. The shaker, centered in central Oklahoma, was felt across the Midwest and southwest.

The Crimson Tide are in suburban Dallas, about 250 miles south of the epicenter. The ground shook just after 7 a.m. CT -- 12 hours before Alabama kicks off against USC. No damage was reported in the Dallas area.

At least two Tide players tweeted about the experience.
