FC Barcelona and Real Madrid are reportedly ready to go to war for an 18-year-old wonderkid.
Previous CAF African Player Of The Year Winners
Los Blancos have reportedly been eyeing Uruguayan defender Santiago Bueno for quite some time, but according to Don Balon, Barca have now entered the chase for the teenager"s signature.
The 18-year-old, who is said to be mature beyond his years, plays for Penarol in Uruguay, and has represented his country"s U17 and U20 teams.
It is believed that Bueno is a centre back first and foremost, but can also play in a defensive midfield role as a result of his composure and technical ability.
The report also claimed the defender should have no hassles in signing for any European team as he has an Italian passport.
Real reportedly spotted Bueno"s talent when they were scouting midfielder Federico Valverde, who now plays for the Santiago Bernabeu club"s Castilla team.
