NEW DELHI: OLX, one of the county"s largest online marketplace for pre-owned goods, on Monday said it has emerged as the most attractive platform for buying and selling pre-owned two-wheelers in 2016.

In terms of the quantum of listings, OLX has the largest share of the pre-owned two-wheelers market by any single player. In CY 2016, OLX registered more than 3.2 million listings of two-wheelers, of which motorcycles form a major share out of which 1.56 million were sold. In other words, every minute six two-wheelers are listed on OLX, and three are sold.

As per some industry estimates, the used two-wheeler market is estimated to be 12 million units, which implies that OLX sells 13% of all the used two-wheelers sold in India yearly, and more than one-fourth of the total pre-owned two-wheelers in India are listed on the platform. "The coming year should see OLX capture an even larger share of the market as the two-wheeler, category, especially motorcycles, is showing a steady growth of 50% year-on-year on OLX, said Amarjit Singh Batra, CEO, OLX India.

As per a survey conducted by consultancy firm Frost & Sullivan in association with OLX, as many as 75% of OLX sellers said that they found a buyer on OLX. In addition to this, of all those who considered buying used two-wheelers online, three out of five buyers said that they completed their final purchase on OLX, a figure that was almost four times that of OLXs nearest competitor according to the survey.

On the buy side, OLX offers a steady stream of registered buyers who increase the chances of successful transactions. OLX receives 3.5 million buyer enquires on used two-wheelers every month, which implies that each two-wheeler listing on OLX gets double-digit responses.

These enquires result on an average 130,000 transactions per month on the platform, generating a combined sale value (GMV) of USD 75 million (Approx. INR 488 Crores) per month. This implies an average sale/ purchase cost of each two-wheeler on OLX is approximately Rs 37,000 per unit, suggesting the high-quality of pre-owned two-wheelers listed on OLX.

A regional break-up of the two-wheelers listings shows 52% of them coming from the metro markets of Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Kolkata. The remaining 48% of the listings come from non-metro cities. Last year, 4,000 cities and towns across India sold on OLX.

Ducks drop in latest CBS bracket predictions

most people dont have Beachems chances in the NBA to be very high. Despite his continued increase in productivity over the last four years and a strong chance to make a NCAA Tournament run for the third time in his career, most experts believe hes nothing more than a second-round draft pick.

What Beachems draft stock needs is March. Not a Notre Dame run in March, which would still boost his value, but him leading the Irish towards the Final Four. Bonzie Colson and Matt Farrell have stolen the spotlight all season, which has given them plenty of recognition, but now, Beachem needs to become the star.

NBA stars are born in March. If you compete well during the madness, you prove you can compete with best. When all eyes are on you and your team, playing in an atmosphere where anything and everything can happen, you catch the attention of NBA coaches and scouts everywhere.

This is the time to go from a second-rounder to a lottery pick. You come out firing on all cylinders for the next three weeks, and you finish the month as one of the hottest names in the draft. For Beachem, he already has the name, has produced quality numbers, has the body type, 68, 200 pounds, now, he just needs to shine.

Look at the past. Stephen Curry, Malachi Richardson, Jerian Grant, R.J. Hunter, and the list goes on. These are all players who wouldve been drafted, but by no means were considered a top 20 pick, some not even considered a first round selection. Beachem is in the group of players who will get drafted, but need this final push to get them into the first round.

Theres nothing more to it. If V.J. Beachem wants to continue his basketball career with a strong start at the next level, he needs to come out firing this Thursday. One final NCAA Tournament run with him leading the way and carrying this Notre Dame team.

He could do it, and hes shown it a few times this season. The time has come, though, and his final shot at a draft stock increase starts, now.

Dutch Elections: The Euro Exchange Rate"s Outlook Suddenly Got a Little Brighter

Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte (above) has claimed a dominating election victory over anti-Islam politician Geert Wilders, who failed the years first test for populism in Europe.

The result has helped the Euro exchange rate complex higher.

The victory of the establishment in Holland could see markets approach European political risk in a new light and would benefit the Euro should growing investor confidence be applied to considerations over upcoming elections in France and Germany.

The limited progress for the EU-sceptic Freedom Party will bring short-term relief for financial markets and tighter intra-Euro-area bond spreads, says Jan von Gerich at Nordea Markets. This time the polling institutions got the results roughly right.

The right-wing Freedom Party (PVV) at 13% of the votes did not do better than expected, but actually slightly worse, in an election with a high participation rate of 82%.

The PVV improved compared to 2012 (5 seats more) but did not reach the 2010 result.

It would thus be hard to call it a rising trend of populism, at least in the Netherlands, says von Gerich.

The Euro to Pound exchange rate trades at 0.8739 at the time of writing, above a low of 0.8666 set on Wednesday, March 15.

However, EUR/GBP remains well below the months best at 0.8788 confirming the notion that the market had expected this outcome.

Strategists at Credit Suisse do however believe that the Euro should soon regain its positive tone; and why shouldn"t it if even-risk in Europe has been vastly overinflated?

The first defeat for populists in Europe might also have important repercussions for the upcoming French presidential election on 23 April and we could see Le Pen losing momentum in the polls and markets starting to reprice risk, says Aila Mihr at Danske Bank.

The Euro to Dollar exchange rate meanwhile trades at 1.0733 having recovered from Tuesdays low at 1.0599.

We are now looking at the best EUR/USD exchange rate since early February; however it is arguable that this is more a function of US Dollar weakness than Euro strength at this stage as the US Federal Reserve disappoint markets with suggestions they might only raise interest rates on two more occasions in 2017.

We can also report that analysts at Deutsche Bank have upgraded their view on the Euro saying they expect it to retain a more positive bias near-term and suggest 1.10 is a possible target.

Looking ahead, von Gerich remains cautious as the bigger test concerning the French electorate remains.

France-related worries are still likely to resurface. A slight easing of the fiscal stance may follow, says von Gerich.

Cuonzo Martin agreed to become the next men"s basketball coach at Missouri on Wednesday. Sources tell ESPN the deal is for seven years and a little more than $21 million.

Martin resigned earlier in the day as coach at Cal. Wyking Jones will serve as interim coach, the school announced.

"We are thrilled that Cuonzo is returning to the Midwest and that his family will now call Columbia home," Missouri athletic director Jim Sterk said in a statement. "From the outset of our search, our goal was to find a coach who had demonstrated success, academically and on the court, while also sharing our values and who can help to reignite interest in Mizzou men"s basketball among our fan base."

ESPN reported earlier in the day that Missouri had offered its job to Martin, a native of East St. Louis, Illinois, and that he was considering the opportunity to replace Kim Anderson, who was fired earlier in the month.

"cuonzo martin informed me this morning that he is resigning to accept a position at another school," Cal athletic director Mike Williams said in a news release. "We put forth our best effort to retain him, but he told me it wasn"t about Cal, rather a strong desire to move closer to home.

• Missouri lured Cuonzo Martin back to the Midwest, leaving Cal with a coaching vacancy to fill. Luckily for the Golden Bears, their best option to replace Martin isn"t far from Berkeley.

"We appreciate all that Cuonzo has done with our men"s basketball program over the past three seasons, creating excitement inside Haas Pavilion, guiding our team to a pair of postseason appearances and improving the academic performance of our student-athletes."

Martin, 45, went 62-39 in three seasons at Cal, leading the Golden Bears to the NCAA tournament in 2016. Martin also recruited an elite class in 2015, landing five-star prospects Jaylen Brown, who became the No. 3 pick in last year"s NBA draft, and Ivan Rabb, a likely first-round selection this June.

Martin also spent three seasons at Tennessee and three seasons at Missouri State, reaching the NCAA tournament in 2014 with the Volunteers. He was a longtime assistant coach at Purdue, where he averaged 13.1 points per game during his four-year playing career.

Missouri was 8-24 this season.
