Greg Olsen"s Incredible TD Catch Between Two Defenders! | Seahawks vs. Panthers | NFL
John David Mercer-USA TODAY Sports
Olsen left the game in the fourth quarter, though Carolina had a healthy lead at the time. He returned later in the quarter.
Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen left the team"s Divisional round playoff game against the Seattle Seahawks with a shoulder injury on Sunday. He took a huge hit from Seahawks strong safety Kam Chancellor and jogged off the field holding one arm to his side. The Panthers announced his return as questionable, the he returned later in the fourth quarter.
He had five catches for 69 yards and a touchdown when he left the game.
Olsen"s career was relatively quiet before he joined the Panthers in 2011, but after turning in a couple 800-yard seasons, Olsen caught 84 passes for 1,008 yards and six touchdowns in 2014. During the regular season in 2015, Olsen caught 77 passes for 1,104 yards and seven touchdowns.
That yardage total was the most on the Panthers by a wide margin, with receiver Ted Ginn Jr. coming in second with 739 yards and 10 touchdowns. Any time missed for Olsen would be huge for Carolina, which was up by multiple scores when he exited the game in the fourth quarter. If the Panthers win, they"ll need Olsen healthy for the NFC Championship against the Arizona Cardinals.
