Houston Texans running back Arian Foster suffered a groin injury during the teams first fully-padded practice on Monday night.
Multiple reports say that Fosters injury is significant potentially requiring surgery.
Foster is no stranger to missing time because of injuries.
Via NFL.com:
Foster, 28, has missed 11 games over the past two seasons due to injuries and has dealt with groin issues in the past. He remains one of the NFLs top all-purpose running backs when on the field, however. He finished with 1,573 yards from scrimmage and 13 total touchdowns in just 13 games for Houston in 2014.
Alfred Blue will fill in for Foster, with Chris Polk and Jonathan Grimes backing him up.
Free agent running backs include Ahmad Bradshaw, Chris Johnson, Ray Rice and Pierre Thomas.
