Dangerous road conditions throughout Southeast Missouri


MODOT"s Becky Allmeroth Gives St Louis Road Conditions

This shot from MoDots Traveler Map shows that as of this morning most of SEMOs highways remain covered as indicated by purple.

Missouri State Highway Patrol reported over 30crashes in Southeast Missouri on Wednesday. As well asone water rescue in Butler County on CR 450.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol and otheremergency service agenciescontinue toask residents of semo tostay off the roadwaysunless it is necessary to travel.

The Caruthersville Police Department reported 4 wheel drive vehicles unable to travel and snow drifts of 2-3 ft in height.

The Jackson Police Department reported that, all roads are snow or ice covered this morning. They implored residents to remain at home if possible.

Cape Girardeau police werenot sending tow trucks to vehicles in the median ofI-55 or in ditches last night and this morning, as the road conditions made it to dangerous to attempt removal of stuck vehicles.

Multiple accidents in and around Poplar Bluff were reported includinga 10-car pileup on northbound Hwy 67 just north of Poplar Bluff which blocked part of 67.

In Stoddard County,Hwy 60 West was when an SUV and two tractor trailerscollided.
