Cloud cover will continue to thicken across the Susquehanna Valley as an approaching storm system from the Great Lakes will bring scattered rain/snow showers this evening and then eventually widespread snow overnight. With temperatures in the mid to upper 30s, roads will be wet, not icy nor snow covered this evening.

As temperatures fall tonight, precipitation will be all snow and become widespread across the area. Untreated roads will become snow-covered late overnight. Lows will fall to 30 degrees with snow tapering early Tuesday.

On-and-off snow showers are likely all day Tuesday. The snow will be light to moderate at times. Highs will reach 34 degrees.

We"re not done with the snow yet! Another push of steady, light to moderate snow is possible late Tuesday through early Wednesday as low pressure offshore intensifies and pulls away. Snow will taper Wednesday morning.

Heaviest snowfall accumulations are likely along the Mason-Dixon line to US-30 in Adams, Lancaster, York and Chester counties. These areas could see 3-6" by early Wednesday. Areas along US-30 to the Pennsylvania Turnpike are expected to receive between 2-4" of snow. This includes Lancaster City, York City, and Harrisburg to Lebanon City. Areas north of Harrisburg and Lebanon City will see 1-2" of snow.

Flurries are possible Wednesday afternoon with highs in the low 30s. Temperatures will plummet to the 20s Thursday and Friday with lows in the teens.

A secondary push of even COLDER air will arrive by the weekend. Highs will struggle to reach the low 20s Saturday and Sunday with lows in the single digits Saturday night. Wind chills will be well below zero! We"ll keep you updated as details develop.
