UPDATE:
According to the Amarillo Police Department Swat Team, the shooter has been shot and is reported to be deceased.
ORIGINAL STORY:
The City"s Office of Emergency Management, Amarillo Police and Amarillo Fire are on the scene of an active shooter incident at the Walmart on Georgia off of I-27 in Texas.
APDand several other agencies are on scene. There are reports of an armed subject inside who may have hostages.
Shots have been fired, officials report.
Amarillo Police are asking residents to avoid the area.
