The stars are supporting Jennifer Aniston"s open letter to the tabloids

Nia Vardalos: I Agree With Jennifer Aniston About Body Shaming | TODAY

Both male and female stars from around the world have spoken out to support Jennifer Aniston, after the actress published a powerful letter on Tuesday to call out the tabloids that stalk her. And were not at all surprised that everyones on Jennifers side. No one ever really thought that baby shaming and body shaming were ok now, did they?

Speaking on Entertainment Tonight, actress Melissa McCarthy said that she agrees with Jennifer one hundred thousand billion percent.

Everybody needs to stop tearing down women, she said, before explaining the difference in the ways that male and female celebrities are discussed in the media. Its always about the way we look saying, Hes very interesting, Hes a good writer, Shes looking older than she was last time we saw her. Its a ridiculous thing. I just hope it gets to the point where its embarrassing for people to have such a shallow thought.

Jennifers former co-star Jason Bateman simply wrote this kicks a*s while sharing the link on Twitter, and Jennifers husband Justin Theroux, posted this candid picture on Instagram, calling her his #WomanCrushWednesday.

Writer Piers Morgan meanwhile had a different opinion to share, calling Jennifer a hypocrite for sometimes choosing to appear in, and earn from, the media interest in her. If she really wants to make a difference to this ugly process, she can start by getting a tiny bit uglier herself and letting us see what she REALLY looks like on a magazine cover, Piers wrote. Then the little girls shes so worried about can know exactly what they are aspiring to be.

Female-kind neednt worry too much about Morgans comments, however, as Chrissy Teigen was quick to weigh in and have her say. @piersmorgan saw your piece on Jennifer Aniston. Why do you ALWAYS take the road of being the piece of st ahole? wrote Chrissy on Twitter. Particularly with women and people of colors. tell me its just for click?? Please tell me you arent TRULY this vile.

Lets hope Jennifers letter at least gets tabloid chiefs talking about what theyre running and who they really think its for.

Jennifer Aniston is "fed up" with tabloids, rumors

Nia Vardalos: I Agree With Jennifer Aniston About Body Shaming | TODAY

Who has sold more tabloid magazines over the last fifteen yearsthanJennifer Aniston?

But after constantly being scrutinized post-lunch for a baby belly, with headlines declaring she"s "finally pregnant!" she"s had it.

The actress penned an essay for theHuffington Poston Tuesday, breaking her longtime stance of ignoring gossip chatter.

"Let me start by saying that addressing gossip is something I have never done. I dont like to give energy to the business of lies, but I wanted to participate in a larger conversation that has already begun and needs to continue," she wrote.

And just in case you were wondering, "for the record, I amnotpregnant," she says. "What I am isfedup.Im fed up with the sport-like scrutiny and body shaming that occurs daily under the guise of journalism, the First Amendment and celebrity news.

She starts by pointing out the public safety issues surrounding the constant presence of paparazzi following her and husbandJustin Theroux,44, but then widens the lens."I want to focus on the bigger picture of what this insane tabloid ritual represents to all of us," she says.Aniston, 47, realizes she is "some kind of symbol to people out there" and has connected the constant bump-watch forced upon herto a larger issue at hand.

"The way I am portrayed by the media is simply a reflection of how we see and portray women in general, measured against some warped standard of beauty," she says. "The message that girls are not pretty unless theyre incredibly thin, that theyre not worthy of our attention unless they look like a supermodel or an actress on the cover of a magazine is something were all willingly buying into."

This summer Aniston pregnancy rumors reached a new high, with tabloids volleying between showcasinga fictitious bumpon vacation toclaimingshe"s suddenly too thin (she waswearing boyfriend jeans).

In short, she can"t win.

"This past month in particular has illuminated for me how much we define a womans value based on her marital and maternal status," says Aniston, citing more pressingstories like mass shootings, Supreme Court decisions and the upcomingelection. "The sheer amount of resources being spent right now by press trying to simply uncover whether or not I am pregnant (for the bajillionth time... but whos counting) points to the perpetuation of this notion that women are somehow incomplete, unsuccessful, or unhappy if theyre not married with children," she writes.

Here"s Aniston"s truth, in her own words.

"Heres where I come out on this topic: we are complete with or without a mate, with or without a child. We get to decide for ourselves what is beautiful when it comes to our bodies. That decision is ours and ours alone. Lets make that decision for ourselves and for the young women in this world who look to us as examples. Lets make that decision consciously, outside of the tabloid noise. We dont need to be married or mothers to be complete. We get to determine our own happily ever after for ourselves."

For those wondering, she adds,"yes, I may become a mother some day, and since Im laying it all out there, if I ever do, I will be the first to let you know. But Im not in pursuit of motherhood because I feel incomplete in some way, as our celebrity news culture would lead us all to believe. I resent being made to feel less than because my body is changing and/or I had a burger for lunch and was photographed from a weird angle and therefore deemed one of two things: pregnant or fat.

Can Some People Tolerate the Heat Better Than Others?

Looking hot, Jen!

Yesterday afternoon, Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux were photographed while out and about in New York City on a picture-perfect day sunny and somewhat breezy with temperatures in the low- to mid- 80s. The couple, who just returned from vacationing in the Bahamas, were dressed comfortably and causally during their stroll. Therouxwas wearing a sleeveless T-shirt with skinny jeans, while Aniston opted for a long-sleeved trench coat and a scarf(or two) wrapped around her neck.

Yes, a coat and scarf in 80-degree weather.

Mrs. Theroux is not the only person who doesnt appear to be fazed by extra layers in the heat. In fact, researchers from Tel Aviv University and Harvard University investigated the possible reason that the Bedouins people who live in the Sinai Peninsula of Egypt drape themselves in black robes while spending their days in the sweltering desert sun. As it turns out, the study authors discovered, wearing a black robe wasnt any hotter than donning a white one, and any additional solar heat was absorbed by the robe before it had a chance to reach the skin.

So, do we have different internal thermostats?

In general, were supposed to have similar temperatures, so people shouldnt be running extra cold or hot, Kristine Arthur, MD, an internist at Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center in Fountain Valley, Calif., tells Yahoo Beauty. But it certainly doesnt mean theres a problem if someone tends to wear a little more clothing or a little less its really more of an issue if its affecting a persons quality of life.

However, if an individual feels chilly most of the time, it may be signaling a possible health issue. For example, he or she may be too thin or underweight, have poor circulation, have hormonal issues, or be dealing with a thyroid problem. If you have an underactive or sluggish thyroid which is a lot more common than an overactive thyroid those people usually complain about feeling cold, adds Arthur.

In the most severe cases, someone could be suffering from Raynauds disease, a rare autoimmune disorder that causes blood vessels to narrow, leaving certain areas of the body (usually fingers and toes) cold or numb.

But chances are, ones perceived body temperature is connected with Mother Nature. People really acclimate to their surroundings after a certain time period, concludes Arthur. If you are living in Southern California, like where I live, we get used to hot weather. If it gets into the 60s, were going to put a sweater on. Maybe in Jennifer Anistons situation, shes used to the weather in Southern California, so when she visits New York City, she just bundles up a little bit.
