Aulii Cravalho joins Hawaii Symphony Orchestra for special "Red Carpet" concert


Auli"i Cravalho & Lin-Manuel Miranda performance How Far I"ll Go from Moana at Oscars 2017 HD

Moana star Aulii Cravalho will make her Hawaii Symphony Orchestra debut in a special movie-themed concert.

A Night on the Red Carpet takes place on Friday, Feb. 17, at 7:30 p.m. at the Blaisdell Concert Hall.

The show will feature a parade of hits under the direction of maestro Richard Kaufman, including How Far Ill Go performed by Cravalho, written by Lin-Manuel Miranda and recently nominated for an Academy Award for Best Song.

The lineup also includes music from Gone with the Wind, The Witches of Eastwick, Forrest Gump, and more.

Tickets start at $27 and are on sale now.

Track is up for Best Original Song

Hamilton starLin-Manuel Miranda performed the Moana song How Far Ill Go with singerAulii Cravalho at the Oscars.

Miranda andCravalho performed How Far Ill Go, which was up for Best Original Song, in a performance introduced byDwayne The Rock Johnson, who voiced Maui in the film.

The2017 Oscarsended in chaos as the wrong film was announced as the winner of Best Picture.

Moonlight actuallywon Best Picture on the night, but La La Land was initially, mistakenly announced as the winner.

The 89th Academy Awards were heldat the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeleson Sunday night(February 26), withJimmy Kimmel hosting.

La La Landwon six awards on the night. Best Production Design wasLa La Lands first award of the evening, it later won Best Score, Best Original Song and BestCinematography. It also triumphed in some of the major categories:La La Landdirector Damien Chazellebecame the youngest filmmaker to win Best Director, while Emma Stone won Best Actress.

Mahershala Ali won the first award of the night,Best Supporting Actor for his part in moonlight.viola davis won best Supporting Actress for Fences. Meanwhile,Manchester By The Sea won Best Original Screenplay, while the films Casey Affleck picked up Best Actor.

Elsewhere, Suicide Squad won Best Make-Up, with the award dedicated to all the immigrants. Fantastic Beasts picked up Best Costume.OJ: Made In America won Best Documentary Feature.Best Sound Editing was won by Arrival, while Best Sound Mixing went to Hacksaw Ridge.Hacksaw Ridge also picked up Best Film Editing.Best Animated Short Film was won by Piper.Zootopiawon Best Animated Feature Film. The Jungle Book won the Oscar for Best Visual Effects.The White Helmet wonBest Documentary Short Subject.

Iranian directorAsghar Farhadi didnt attend to pick up the Best Foreign Film award which he won for his movie The Saleman but in a sent message hit out at Trumpsinhumane Muslim ban.
