Lionel Messi is back for Argentina, and they may be set to punch their ticket to the Copa America knockout rounds.
Two teams are currently tied atop the standings in Group D for the Copa America Centenario, and those two teams square off against one another on Friday night as Argentina and Panama go head to head in Soldier Field. Panama have more momentum than many expected after their win over Bolivia, but will that be enough to overcome Argentina?
Maybe not.
Argentina are riding high themselves after a dominant win over defending Copa champs Chile, a win that saw them thoroughly control the game even without their megastar attacker -- Lionel Messi watched from the bench. Now Messi is back, and he"ll be itching to put his mark on this tournament. If he and Argentina get rolling early, it"s going to be awfully hard for Panama to do anything about it.
