Kanye West Is Not Happy With Rock Producer Bob Ezrin

Music Matters 2012 Keynote Interview: Bob Ezrin

Ezrin, the man behind classic rock albums from Pink Floyd, Lou Reed, and Kiss, made the comments that riled West in a post for music analyst Bob Lefsetz"s site Lefsetz Letter. The piece focused on West"s "tasteless grandstanding," accusing the 21-time Grammy Award recipient of being "like that flasher who interrupts a critical game by running n***d across the field," stating that: "unlike other creators in his genre like Jay-Z, Tupac, Biggie or even M.C. Hammer for that matter, its unlikely that well be quoting too many of Kanyes songs 20 years from now."

Kanye appeared particularly galled by Ezrin"s claim that Macklemore was more musically significant than him, directly addressing the quote before adding "no offense to Macklemore, he"s a nice human being!" Although the original site is currently down, the cached version of Ezrin"s letter is available in full here.
