Hayden Panettiere -- I've Got a Klitschko in My GIANT Oven

I've Got a Klitschko in My Giant Oven

11/18/2014 9:48 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

If there was any doubt Hayden Panettiere was carrying a Klitschko baby ... just take a look.

The "Nashville" star was hanging poolside in Hawaii this weekend. The proportions of the 5'0" actress seem out of whack ... we're guessing that's because herfianceWladimir Klitschko is a beast ... 6'6" and weighing in at 243 lbs.

No word on whether she'll attempt a natural childbirth, and the reality is the kid may not be all that big ... but then again, the baby girl could be gargantuan.

Good luck Hayden!

New 'Cinderella' makes her entrance

By Breeanna Hare, CNN

updated 7:59 AM EST, Thu November 20, 2014

Lily James stars in "Cinderella" as the titular heroine.

STORY HIGHLIGHTS

  • Disney's new live-action "Cinderella" has been unveiled
  • The movie arrives close to the 65th anniversary of the 1950 animated version
  • In the new telling, Lily James stars as the soon-to-be princess

(CNN) -- The trailer for 2015's "Cinderella" doesn't feature any singing mice, but it's magical all the same.

Disney has released its first look at next year's live-action re-telling of "Cinderella," which stars Lily James, of "Downton Abbey," as the unfairly treated princess-to-be.

This version keeps all the memorable moments of Cinderella's story intact -- she's still left at the mercy of a vindictive stepmother, and still has to bail from that royal ball by the stroke of midnight -- but it also fills in some of the gaps in our understanding of how Cinderella came to be.

Instead of picking up with Cinderella already slaving away, we get to meet her parents, as played by Hayley Atwell and Ben Chaplin, and we learn that the moniker "Cinderella" is a cruel twist on her name, Ella.

This time around, Cinderella meets her Prince Charming (Richard Madden) in the woods before encountering him again at his royal soiree.

And while her Fairy Godmother (Helena Bonham-Carter) still drums up a pair of glass slippers faster than you can say "Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo," we're now assured that the shoes are far more comfortable than they look.

The new "Cinderella" arrives close to the 65th anniversary of Walt Disney's classic animated version. That "Cinderella" first opened in the United States on February 15, 1950, after spending six years in development. The result proved so popular that Disney offered occasional re-releases of the film, not to mention that the fairy tale has spawned a near sub-genre of Cinderella-inspired movies. (Hilary Duff's "A Cinderella Story," anyone?)

The latest "Cinderella" will arrive in theaters on March 13, 2015.

Adrian Peterson Gives 90-Minute Interview, Doesn't Say Much

Adrian Peterson has finally broken a two month silence. After he was placed on the exempt/commissioner's permission list on September 17th, he's basically only communicated through bizzaro twitter postings and closed-door hearings. Tonight he spoke with USA Today's Pelissero tonight for a "more than 90-minute" interview.

While Peterson said a lot, not much of it was anything other than what you expect from somebody trying to repair a very tarnished public image. He is remorseful. He didn't mean to hurt his son. He wants to be in his children's lives. He won't hit any of his kids again. He is getting help. He wants to play football.

Below are some of Peterson's more notable statements.

On calling his 4-year old son (the one he hit with a switch) last week for the first time in five months:

"When he got on the phone, he said, 'Hey Dad,'" Peterson said in an interview with USA TODAY Sports on Thursday. "I was like, 'Hey buddy, how you doing?' 'I'm doing OK.' I was like, 'I love you.' He was like, 'I love you, too, Dad. Can I come over to your house?' "

On how he will discipline his children in the future:

"I won't ever use a switch again," Peterson said. "There's different situations where a child needs to be disciplined as far as timeout, taking their toys away, making them take a nap. There's so many different ways to discipline your kids."

On whether he will ever play in Minnesota again:

"I would love to go back and play in Minnesota to get a feel and just see if my family still feels comfortable there," Peterson said. "But if there's word out that hey, they might release me, then so be it. I would feel good knowing that I've given everything I had in me.

On who is helping him out:

Peterson says he has been seeing a therapist out of Washington D.C., as well as a pastor near his home outside Houston who is certified in counseling. He also remains in touch with Vikings executive director of player development/legal Les Pico.

On how he feels about photos of his child's injuries being leaked:

"That's illegal," Peterson said. "For someone who wears the badge to disregard their badge and commit a crime says a lot. (But) no one cares how the pictures were released. All they care about is, 'Hey, these are the pictures. They say that he put leaves in his mouth. They say that he beat him. They say that I hit his hands (and those were) defensive wounds.' "

On how he's not Ray Rice:

"I take full responsibility, because I spanked my child, and no matter what my intentions were, I end up leaving those marks on his legs," Peterson said. "That's the bottom line.

"That's not what I tried to do, but that's what ended up happening. Don't put me in the same (category as Rice)."

Bodies believed to be Miss Honduras, sister found

TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras Two bodies believed to belong to Miss Honduras 2014 and her sister have been found buried near the spa where they disappeared six days ago, the Honduras National Police director said Wednesday.

Authorities were awaiting confirmation from forensic officials that the victims are Maria Jose Alvarado, 19, and her sister, Sofia, 23, said Gen. Ramon Sabillon.

Sabillon said Sofia's boyfriend, Plutarco Ruiz, confessed to killing the sisters and led authorities to the bodies buried in a river bank in a mountainous area of Santa Barbara, about 240 miles (400 kilometers) west of Tegucigalpa.

They were found near La Aguagua spa, where they had gone Thursday to celebrate Ruiz's birthday.

Both women, who grew up in the area, were shot to death and appeared to have been killed the night they disappeared, Sabillon said.

"They were not very astute about assessing the people around them. They were just friendly," the sisters' mother, Teresa Munoz, told Televicentro. "They were taken out by people they hadn't known very long."

An alleged accomplice, Aris Maldonado, was also being held. Sabillon said the two men buried the bodies near the river in hopes that they would decompose quickly.

He said Ruiz apparently shot his girlfriend, Sofia, because she was dancing with another man. After a fierce argument, he pulled out a pistol and fired at Sofia first, then at Maria Jose as she tried to flee. The beauty queen was shot at least twice in the back, Sabillon said.

Munoz said Ruiz called her the following morning, acting nervous and claiming the young women had left the party in a car with some other people.

Maria Jose Alvarado was crowned Miss Honduras in April and was expected to compete in the Miss World Pageant in London next month. She was supposed to have left for London this week. A pageant representative said Honduras would not compete in the contest this year, given the tragedy.

Honduras, overrun with streets gangs and drug trafficking, has the highest murder rate in the world for a country not at war, with an estimated 90 to 95 killings per 100,000 people. It is one of Latin America's poorest countries and earlier this year was the main source of a surge in unaccompanied minors migrating to the United States, many to escape the violence.

Women and girls are increasingly fleeing Honduras and other Central American nations after being kidnapped or raped, with many of them seeking asylum in the United States.

Alvarado had also worked as a model on the game program "El Show X O da Dinero" of television personality and former presidential candidate Salvador Nasrallah. He said he was very saddened by the news.

"A lot of girls die this way, but because they're not famous, it doesn't get the attention and the crimes go unpunished," Nasrallah said. "She was a girl of good principles who fell into a trap, a game with guns, and ended up a victim of a violent system."

In the South American nation of Venezuela, which also suffers from high crime, a former Miss Venezuela and popular soap-opera actress, Monica Spear, was killed along with her husband during a robbery in January while she was visiting her homeland.

Beauty queens are very popular in many parts of Latin America, where they are viewed as celebrities and often go on to become entertainers.

ABC 'Dancing With the Stars' 2014 Cast and Partners: Tommy Chong, Peta ...

First Posted: Nov 20, 2014 02:03 PM EST

Monday night's competition among the semifinalists on ABC's "Dancing With the Stars" meant the season was one step closer to handing the mirror-ball championship trophy to a new winner.

This week's voting totals meant fans had to say goodbye to Tommy Chong, one of the well-loved contestants left and by the far the oldest competitor remaining at 76 years old. The former "Cheech & Chong" star left Monday evening, and the remaining cast, especially Chong's professional dance partner Peta Murgatroyd, seemed upset with the news.

After they were eliminated from the competition, a misty-eyed Murgatroyd said that she was "so proud" of her dancing partner.

"I guess it just like floored me with, like, how loved he is," she said in an interview with E! News. "I am so in love with him right now. I just love him so much."

Even Chong was surprised he continued this far into the season, admitting it likely wasn't because of his dancing skills.

"I made it this far based on my reputation more than anything," he said.

Still left in the competition is "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air's" Alfonso Ribeiro, who suffered a severe back injury that almost didn't allow for him to continue dancing, but he somehow managed to perform. He is partnered with Witney Carson.

"It's a tough one. It's a really tough one," Ribeiro told E! News of his injury. "I've got a back brace on to keep me upright."

Other stars still left in the running are Sadie Robertson from "Duck Dynasty," and partner Mark Ballas, YouTube sensation Bethany Mota and partner Derek Hough, and former "Pretty Little Liars" cast member Janel Parrish and partner Val Chmerkovskiy.

Monday's weekly theme in the competition was "unplugged,"meaning the dancing couples had to perform twice to the same song in two different arrangements. This allowed the stars to express the genre of dance in their choreography without being caught up in not liking the song selection.

Finals for "Dancing With the Stars" begins Monday at 8/7c p.m. on ABC.

Katherine Heigl's New Show Pulled the Viewers, but Will They Stick Around?

State of Affairs, as we observed in September, has some problems. But it also has a high budget, a bankable star and a time slot after NBC's flagship show, The Voice, as well as viewers who probably forgot The Blacklist is on hiatus until next year. So the question at the moment is pretty simple: Can State of Affairs win over enough viewers looking for the next big, flashy, action-packed drama?

The answer at the moment is "possibly." With the time slot ready to go, the show pulled a solid 2.2 rating last night, down significantly from The Blacklist's 2.69 average but above everything else on the network so far this season. The 10 p.m. spot on Monday isn't a terribly competitive one, and The Blacklist has owned it in a big way this season (legacy shows on CBS and ABCNCIS: Los Angeles and Castle, respectivelyare both sagging in the ratings but unlikely to get canceled this season. Neither The CW nor Fox programs the 10 p.m. hour).

Reviews of the show haven't been kind, though a few have noted the show makes canny use of Heigl's difficult reputation. (It's also been a troubled productionshowrunner Ed Bernero left because he didn't get along with creator Joe Carnahan, an action-movie director responsible for stuff like Smokin' Aces and the big-screen remake of The A-Team.) The question is mostly how upset audiences will be over the midfall changeover. Is it a major bait-and-switch or a pleasant interlude? State of Affairs has a potential full season ahead of it (well, full-ishit's starting mid-November so it can't be that full), and it could find a spot on the NBC schedule, oddly, alongside a number of other CIA-minded series, including CBS' Madam Secretary and NBC's own Allegiance.

Heigl herself has been on a charm offensive in the TV news magazines, telling Mario Lopez she watches former boss Shonda Rhimes' Scandal every week and that she wants to mend fences over her departure from Grey's Anatomy. "I'm sorry she is left with such a crappy impression of me," she said. "I wish I could do something to change that. Maybe I will be able to someday." Maybe!

Brennan: If Adrian Peterson has learned, he's not showing it

(Photo: The Associated Press)

Does Adrian Peterson want to play football again?

I know the answer must be yes, but after his actions last week, I wonder.

If the goal the past week was to get back on the field as soon as possible, blowing off a meeting with the NFL commissioner was not the way to do it, no matter what the players' union was whispering in his ear.

We hear that Peterson and the NFL Players Association didn't like "the process" surrounding the NFL's scheduled hearing with him last Friday, so they decided not to attend. The role of outside experts apparently was a problem for Peterson and the union, even though much of the national conversation over the past 10 weeks about how the league and its players will address the enormous problem of domestic violence has centered on the hiring of exactly those experts to help deal with the issue.

Instead of coming in to meet with Goodell and the experts with plenty of lawyers on both sides of the table, presumably and trying to show Goodell that he is worthy of reinstatement this season, Peterson listened to the union and gave up his last, best chance to show how serious he was about doing what's necessary to return to the game after pleading no contest to injuring his four-year-old son as he whipped him.

This means that his old statements, including the appalling comment Goodell cited in which Peterson said he did not intend to "eliminate whooping my kids," still hang in the air, as fresh as the day that he said them.

If you're Adrian Peterson, and you know that quote remains in the public arena, and you have seen the nation react with collective disgust to any kind of domestic violence in the wake of the Ray Rice elevator video, you are asking for nothing but trouble if you skip the one meeting that could help you regain your job.

Three days later, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell suspended Peterson for at least the remainder of this season, without pay, saying the earliest he could be reinstated was April 15.

"These comments raise the serious concern that you do not fully appreciate the seriousness of your conduct," Goodell said, "or, even worse, that you may feel free to engage in similar conduct in the future."

Of course the union wailed in reply, which begs this question: Has it been paying any attention to what has happened in this country since Sept. 8?

That's the day the video of Rice's horrifying knockout of his then-fiance Janay Palmer (now Rice's wife) was made public. Four days later, Peterson was arrested. Three days after that, the Radisson hotel chain suspended its sponsorship of the Minnesota Vikings when Peterson was allowed to return, albeit briefly. Throughout it all, the words "zero tolerance" became part of our national vocabulary.

Back in September, Goodell was heavily criticized for not doing enough to punish and prevent domestic violence by NFL players. Now the union and its allies say he's doing too much.

This much we know: Goodell's NFL is the only sports organization on earth making significant changes and hires right now to try to begin to combat domestic violence. Things are fluid and the rules are changing.

At times like this, it would be extremely wise for any player who has been linked to domestic violence to not miss another meeting.
