Is The Playboy Mansion For Sale? New Rumors About Hugh Hefner"s Los Angeles ...

Playboy Mansion - MTV CRIBS - Hugh Hefner

You may be able to own the Playboy Mansion but the property comes with its current tenant, Hugh Hefner. Although the 89-year-old hasnt officially listed his Los Angeles home, the nearly 22,000 square-foot house is rumored to be hitting the market next month.

TMZ reports that the six acre Holmby Hills estate will be listed in February with the whopping price tag of over $200 million. And while the mansion boasts 29 rooms including a wine cellar and screening room the sites real estate sources say that the famous Playboy Mansion is not worth the big bucks.

Insiders tell TMZ that the house is a tear-down and that the six acres is the real selling point. However, comparable lots only recently sold at $60 million.

While the Playboy Mansion was home to some of the wildest parties in its prime, there have been reports over the years that it has become rundown. Some Playboy followers may remember that an editor for Vice visited the mansion in 2013 for a screening of the movie Parker. Instead of watching the film, he wandered around and took pictures of the depressing property, which he described as really, really sad.

But the fact that the Playboy Mansion is going on the market or the hefty price tag isnt the craziest thing about the situation. TMZ reports that there are several strings attached for the potential buyer.

Were told whoever buys it will be required to give Hugh Hefner a life estate, meaning he can continue to live in the mansion until he dies, the site reports.

If the condition of the property or keeping its current occupant doesnt bother you, the Playboy Mansion does have some pretty impressive history. It was built in 1927 for Arthur Letts Jr., the son of Broadway department store founder Arthur Letts, and eventually bought by a chess aficionado named Louis D. Statham. According to Thrillist, Playboys parent company, Icon Acquisitions Holdings, purchased the property in 1971 for a reported $1.1 million. Hugh Hefner allegedly pays fair market rent to live there.

As previously mentioned, the house includes a wine cellar and screening room, but thats not all. A gaming compound is located just off the main house, as well as a pool, grotto and zoo. Hugh Hefners wife, Crystal Hefner, revealed to The Hollywood Reporter in 2014 that the zoo is home to monkeys, cockatoos, peacocks, African cranes, parrots, pelicans and many other animals.

Tom Coughlin to Eagles? Why it"s not so far-fetched

Eli Manning Tears Up As Tom Coughlin Explains Resignation

Rex Ryan rising again in Buffalo turned out to be the Jets worst nightmare when he knocked them out of the playoffs on the last day of the regular season.

Now here comes Tom Coughlin, Philadelphia Eagles head-coaching candidate.

When Coughlin sits down with Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie and his flock of decision-makers Monday over a cheesesteak and hard pretzel, he immediately becomes the most coveted prize on the head-coaching market.

A Hall of Fame coach on the open market!

John Mara and Steve Tisch granting their former coach permission to enter the Eagles nest is more a classy move and sign of gratitude it would have reeked of pettiness had they not than any lack of fear Coughlin can come back, at age 70 next season, and haunt them in his next coaching life.

But they have every reason to fear him.

Mara, appearing on Michael Kays radio show the other day, identified one of the things he is looking for in his next head coach: someone with something to prove.

After listening to Mara virtually apologize to him for not providing enough quality personnel lately, you better believe Coughlin would have plenty to prove after three consecutive losing seasons and four out of the playoffs.

And given the respect, admiration and love his former players have for Coughlin, it would surprise no one if more than a few of them decide to ride down the New Jersey Turnpike to join him, and never mind the Giants have few players worth raiding.

Coughlins intimate knowledge of everything Giants is reason enough for Lurie to offer him the job.

And imagine if Ben McAdoo doesnt get the Giants job and decides he doesnt want to stay for a new head coach how badly would Eli Mannings lower lip quiver if McAdoo left to cast his lot with Coughlin in Philadelphia? Steve Spagnuolo used to be an Eagle, you might recall. McAdoo already has interviewed for the Eagles job, and its doubtful he broached Coughlin as his offensive coordinator.

After the Chip Kelly fiasco, Coughlin will have Lurie at hello.

Then, once he starts talking about the restoration of Eagles pride in that booming voice, Lurie will demand all employees show up for work five minutes early.Once he and pal Gen. Ray Odierno start with the jumping jacks, everyone around town will be crooning Fly, Eagles, fly.

What a welcome change it would be for the team and the city to hear Coughlin quote Wooden and Patton and Churchill instead of Kelly obsessing over anything and everything Oregon Ducks.

You want emotional intelligence? This is your man.

The Eagles and their fans wont have to be reminded they never have won a Super Bowl. Andy Reid got to one and lost to Bill Belichick. Coughlin got to two and beat Belichick both times.

Eagles fans would embrace Coughlin the way Vikings fans embraced Brett Favre. Giants fans would have far less enmity for Coughlin than Packers fans had for Favre the traitor. Coughlin never would be reviled the way Pat Riley was when he bolted for Miami.

h**l, Giants fans mostly held their nose and bit their tongue at the sight of the Ten-Gallon Tuna coaching Jerry Jones Cowboys.

Turnpike Tom could slightly alter his age-old philosophy, too: Talk is chirp, play the game.

The introductory press conference would be a no-brainer, following a photo op at the Liberty Bell. With the Rocky music blaring loud and proud, here comes 69-year-old Tom Coughlin running up the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Yo Giants!

College Football Playoff championship: How Clemson built an undefeated mindset

Slip "N Slide Football Battle | Dude Perfect

CLEMSON, S.C. Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson had nearly wrapped up a summertime appearance when someone asked if the Tigers could win a national championship.

"No doubt about it," Watson said with a grin. "15-0."

Fifteen? Are there even that many games?

In the College Football Playoff era, the Tigers are trying to break new ground. Watson and the top-ranked Tigers are trying to make history as the first undefeated team with 15 wins against No. 2 Alabama on Monday night, hoping to finish off a goal set down as the ultimate target long ago.

Sure, there have been other undefeated teams. Clemson"s last national championship team in 1981 finished with a 12-0 record. Florida State was 14-0 in its national championship year two years ago. With the playoff in the mix, the Tigers could be the first team to reach 15-0.

The undefeated mindset was set as the team"s theme for the season before the Tigers ever stepped on the field. Swinney put 15 up on the board at an early gathering. He passed out T-shirts with "15 for 15" on the back.

"It"s 2015," Swinney told them. "Right now, we"ve sold every ticket, but there"s only 12. We want to make them print 15 tickets."

That part"s done. Now, it"s up to Clemson to finish off its first perfect season since the 1981 national champions.

"It was not easy to get everyone to buy into this," co-offensive coordinator Jeff Scott said. "It took planning and preparation."

RELATED: Let"s take a look at Clemson"s path to the national championship

Swinney regularly worked with a sports psychologist, Milt Lowder, who has consulted with Clemson athletes and coaches since 2005. Lowder said he met with Swinney at least once a week during the season, the coach sharing ideas about techniques on keeping the Tigers focused.

Lowder said none of this season"s success would"ve happened without Clemson"s steady success the past several seasons. The Tigers have won 10 or more games each of the past five years, defeating college powers LSU, Ohio State and Oklahoma twice in bowl games.

Older players understood and accepted the work it took to win games. Without that, Lowder said, Swinney"s words would ring hollow.

So when the season began, the team forgot about the big goal. They looked at the milestone in increments. They didn"t think about 15 anymore. 2-0 became 3-0. Then 4-0, and 5-0. 6-0, then 7-0. The win column kept changing, the loss column never did.

Swinney puts it simply: "You can"t be 15-0 unless you"re 3-0."

"You"ve got to have a process on getting there, something that you"re confident works with your team," said Brent Walker, president of the Association for Applied Sport Psychology. "It"s easier to do that once your players understand your commitment to them."

The players, led by Watson, easily followed along. The sophomore had an injury-plagued first year, and was eager to show the high school promise that made him one of the country"s top prospects. He helped the younger Tigers get on board.

Watson says it was an easy sell. To those holdouts, Watson insisted he came to Clemson to win championships and needed everyone to have that focus.

"It"s about believing in each other," he said. "That"s what we do around here."

That belief has succeeded for Clemson before. The 1981 national champion was No. 1 and 11-0 into a David-vs.-Goliath showing in the Orange Bowl against powerful and pedigreed Nebraksa. The result? Tigers 22-15.

"No one except up thought we could win," said Jeff Davis, a linebacker for that championship group. "That sounds like now."

On Monday, on the game"s biggest stage, this year"s group will get the chance to prove it.

Lotto craze has people lining up for a chance to win

The National Lottery ‘Lotto’ draw results from Wednesday 6th January 2016

Hopeful millionaires everywhere are plopping down big bucks in hopes of cashing in big.

The odds of winning the $900 million Powerball jackpot are infinitely small, but that hasn"t stopped people from buying tickets for their chance at striking it rich.

Owner of Vests Market Harry Dindral said he usually sells about $20 worth of Powerball tickets on any given day. Today he"s sold about $500 worth.

"Just in the span of these last two minutes, I"ve had about ten people just buy a ticket," Dindral said.

All over town, the $900 million jackpot has seduced people who don"t usually play, into buy lotto tickets including Vests Market customer Moses Perez.

"I just seen the craze," Perez said. "I seen everybody standing in line here at Vests Market. And I just jumped in the line and said, "What"s going on?" They said Powerball, so I was like alright."

Linda Flores has never bought a lottery ticket, but bought $20 worth of tickets at Downtown Deli Mart today.

"I probably have better odds of being struck by lightning, but that"s OK," Flores said.

Lotto fever is also in the air at an unlikely place.

Employees at The Mint bar on 19th Street say Powerball tickets made up more than half of their sales this morning.

"Today it"s just been people coming in for tickets, people I haven"t even seen before," said Mint employee Rome Kobel.

But hopeful millionaire Jesse Bustamente said, there"s one surefire way to increase your odds of winning. Buy a ticket.

"You can"t win if you don"t play," said Bustamante. "It"s that simple. If you don"t play, the odds are you"re not going to win at all."

The store that sells the winning ticket will get the maximum payout of $1 million

Just a reminder, the odds of winning the $900 million Powerball jackpot are one in 292.2 million.

2016 NFL Schedule: Regular-Season Opponents for All 32 Teams Revealed

Arnold Schwarzenegger has a message for J.J. Watt and the Texans | NFL

Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

Just one day after the end of the 2015 regular season, the NFLannounced the opponents for all 32 teams for the upcoming 2016 season Monday.

Kickoff is 247 days awaybut who"s counting?with a Thursday night matchup set for Sept. 8. Teams will play schedules centered around their division and order of finish, but here"s a look at what the NFL uses to determine a team"smatchups, perJohnBreechofCBS Sports:

  • Home and away against its three division opponents (six games).
  • The four teams from another division within its conference on a rotating three-year cycle (four games).
  • The four teams from a division in the other conference on a rotating four-year cycle (four games).
  • Two intraconference games based on the prior year"s standings (two games). These games match a first-place team against the first-place teams in the two same-conference divisions that the team is not scheduled to play that season. The second-place, third-place, and fourth-place teams in a conference are matched in the same way each year.
  • Beginning in 2010, a change was made to how teams are paired in the schedule rotation to ensure that teams playing the AFC and NFC West divisions would not be required to make two West Coast trips (e.g., at San Francisco and at Seattle), while other teams in their division had none (e.g., at St. Louis and at Arizona).

There are some mainstays on the schedule such as division opponents and the seemingly annual Seattle Seahawks vs. Green Bay Packers clash, but there are a few games that might pique your interest that don"t take place often.

It"s the AFC East"s turn to play the NFC West, which means we get a rematch of Super BowlXLIX,which saw the New England Patriots edge Seattle, at Gillette Stadium. The Patriots will also play the NFC No. 2 seed Arizona Cardinals on the road in what should be a great matchup.

The 15-1 Carolina Panthers will play six teams that are in the playoffs this year, including the Denver Broncos, the Kansas City Chiefs, Seattle and Arizona.

Although it"s been a disastrous 4-12 season for the Dallas Cowboys, Breech pointed out they will have at least six games against teams with new head coaches in the New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles, Cleveland Browns and San Francisco 49ers.

Other storylines include an NFC Wild Card Round rematch between Green Bay and Washington, three games in London (Washington vs. Cincinnati Bengals, Indianapolis Colts vs. Jacksonville Jaguars, Giants vs. St. Louis Rams) and another meeting between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Dallas, who have met in three Super Bowls.
