Antoine Fuqua"s upcoming remake of "The Magnificent Seven" follows seven gunslingers who are hired to protect a town from the deadly wrath of industrialist Bartholomew Bogue (Peter Sarsgaard). The seven gunslingers are as follows:Sam Chisolm (Denzel Washington), Josh Farraday (Chris Pratt), Goodnight Robicheaux (Ethan Hawke), Jack Horne (Vincent D"Onofrio), Billy Rocks (Byung-Hun Lee), Vasquez (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), and Red Harvest (Martin Sensmeier). Though these seven initially take the job for the money, they soon realize they"re fighting for much more than that.

Fuqua"s "Magnificent Seven" is a remake of the 1960 John Sturges film of the same name, which in turn was a remake of Akira Kurosawa"s 1954 epic historical drama "The Seven Samurai." This will be the third collaboration between Fuqua and Washington after 2001"s "Training Day," which earned Washington an Oscar for Best Actor, and 2014"s "The Equalizer," which grossed over $192 million against a $55 million budget and garnered mixed-to-positive reviews.

The first trailer for "The Magnificent Seven" will debut tomorrow and the film opens in theaters on September 23rd. Check out the first photo of Washington and Pratt below, and then head to USA Today for the full gallery.

Manchester United Top Real Madrid, More as World"s Most Profitable Club

Manchester United have been named as the most profitable club in world football following a study conducted by Forbes.

As reported by Lee Astley of the Sun, the business magazine ran a study looking into the numbers behind top clubs in 2014-15, when United made a massive 132 million. Real Madrid were second on the list, having posted a 112 million profit. The Red Devils city rivals, Manchester City, were third with 91 million.

Aside from the two Manchester clubs, the Premier League also had Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur in the top 10 spots, which were rounded out by Barcelona, Juventus,Bayern Munich and Schalke.

Commercially, theres no denying United are in excellent shape. Executive vice chairman Ed Woodward has his critics among the club"s supporters, but hes been central to securing a succession of key, profitable partnerships.

The Red Devils, despite their slump since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson in 2013, secured a whopping 750 million kit deal with Adidas in 2014. A report from the Daily Mirrors James Whaling in February noted that the club has a staggering 70 commercial partners in total.

Oliver Holt of the Mail on Sunday suggested the pursuit of off-field tie-ups has come at the cost of performances on it:

Indeed, the club is not having the best campaign under the guidance of Louis van Gaal. Its a season that could still end positively as United could feasibly win the FA Cup and still have an outside chance of finishing in the UEFA Champions League spots. But they are synonymous with challenging for the biggest prizes, and theyre a long way off doing so.

As midfielder Bastian Schweinsteigers social media post suggested in the wake of Uniteds 2-0 win over Crystal Palace on Wednesday, getting into the top four is very much the main aim for this group of players:

If United are to continue prospering financially, a sustained spell of competing at the top level is vital.

Jack Gaughan ofMailOnline noted earlier this season that should United fail to qualify for next seasons Champions League, as well as the 2017-18 edition, their revenue from the deal with Adidas would be slashed by around 30 per cent.

Its also stated that while this is arguably the most vital contract the club has in place, there are no stipulations in other deals thatd see the Red Devils short-changed as a result of underachievement on the field.

There may be other sponsors who inserted something but those figures are nowhere near United"s huge global partners, added Gaughan.

It means United will once again be likely be able to compete for the best players in the world. However, with the Premier League more awash with money than ever before, reported by Nick Harris for MailOnline, its imperative thats supplemented by evident progression on the field too. At the moment, United havent got that balance right.

Columbine Massacre remembered 17 years later; North Carolina high school offers shooting range at school

SMITHFIELD, NC - It was 17 years ago on April 20, 1999 that two teens calmly walked into Columbine High School in Colorado and began an unthinkable rampage.

They opened fire on students and faculty and when the gunfire ended -- 12 students and one teacher were dead, another 23 were injured and the shooters had taken their own lives.

The "Columbine Massacre" is still ranked as one of the worst mass shootings in US history and remains one of the nation"s deadliest school shootings.

Now in the wake of that tragedy, a high school in North Carolina has taken the unusual step of opening a shooting range inside the school!

It"s true, but instead of bullets, the students shoot pellets.

The range has been developed to train ROTC students how to shoot, and they are armed with only pellet guns.

ROTC instructor Commander David Wegman of Smithfield-Selma High Schoolsaid before students are armed, "they have to sign a safety pledge, get permission from home and then finally demonstrate on the range that they know how to handle one of these air rifles safely."

"You have to have the trust in others that they are handling a weapon, and they are not going to harm you and you"re not going to harm them," student Timothy Jones declared.

But as we all reflect on Columbine"s somber anniversary, one can only wonder if arming students with any kind of weapon is really a good idea?

"The procedures that we have in place ensure that we do the same thing, the same way, every single time," Wegman insisted.

Some think it may be time for school administrators to go back to school-- and back to the drawing board.

Blowing smoke on 420: For National Weed Day, Alabama police department will judge your marijuana

That is some primo stuff! If there was a contest for the wickedest weed in the world, it would win!

Good news, dopers. Now there is. If you want to give your THC some TLC, to sing a song for your bong and give props to your crops, Cordova is the place to go.

Today, unofficially, is National Weed Day. Observances based on the number 420 include smoking cannabis around the time 4:20 p.m., as well as smoking and celebrating cannabis on the date April 20.

According to Huffington Post, the term dates to the early 1970s, when a group of friends in San Rafael, Calif., would agree to meet after school at 4:20 p.m., and the rest, as they say, is history. What isn"t is this: 420 is not police code for marijuana violations, 420 is not the number of active chemical compounds in marijuana and 420 is Adolf Hitler"s birthday, but that"s not where the tradition comes from.

In honor of 420 day the dopers" Independence Day Cordova police decided to partake in the festivities with a "First Annual Weed-Off." Public Information Officer T.J. Armstrong posted this invitation on Facebook this morning:

"Bring your very best marijuana to the Cordova Police Department, where it"ll be judged in one of several categories:

1. Color

2. Smell

3. Texture

4. Best All Around

There will even be an honorable mention for the largest quantity brought in!

History of 420: Stoner holiday oddly coincides with Hitler"s birthday

The growing number of legal, and illegal, cannabis smokers in the US and around the world are celebrating their international holiday Wednesday.

The origins of the April 20 celebration are a bit hazy, much like the day itself, but the consensus seems to circle back to 1971 at a high school in George Lucass neck of the woods, Marin County, California.

Five students, known as the Waldos, supposedly made it their mission to meet every year on this date by the schools Louis Pasteur statue at exactly 4:20 p.m.

They used the code word 420 Louis to signal their intentions to smoke weed, according to High Times, a publication thats done a lot of field research on this debate.

Some think it has something to do with Adolf Hitlers birthday, which was April 20, 1889, perhaps as a way of temporarily forgetting the genocide he inflicted more than 70 years ago.

Others theorize 420 was police code to indicate marijuana smoking in progress or relates to the mathematics of Bob Dylans Rainy Day Woman 12 & 35.

The grassroots phenomenon eventually took hold in mainstream culture with lots of references and nods, including the films Pulp Fiction and Lost in Translation, where clocks were set to 4:20.

Two of the most famous friends of Mary Jane, Snoop Dogg and Willie Nelson, recorded a song together on April 20, 2009 called "Roll Me Up and Smoke Me When I Die".

It was a beautiful day, it was a roomful of smoke. It was historic," Snoop said.

Momentum behind the legalization of marijuana is gaining with Pennsylvania becoming the 24th US state to OK medicinal marijuana on Sunday.

The increased use means theres more data to study the ancient drugs effects, with one reportrevealing that consuming cannabis is 114 times safer than drinking alcohol.

Women have started using it for menstrual pain relief, including vaginal suppositories.

Another report from the Colorado Department of Public Safety last month looked at the impact of the states legalization and regulation of cannabis in 2013.

While the report notes that due to a lack of historical data on the issue, it is too early to draw any conclusions about the potential effects on public safety, public health, or youth outcomes, it saw an increase in the number of calls to poison control mentioning human marijuana exposure, with 227 last year.

The number of marijuana arrests and court filings decreased by 46 and 81 percent respectively since 2012.

Usage among young adults ages 18 to 25 is up to 31 percent in 2014 versus 21 percent 10 years ago whereas those older than 25 made up 12 percent of the population two years ago.
