In 2017, the Memorial Tournament will venture into The Great White Shark tank, the Captain"sClub announced on Sunday, naming former world No.1 Greg Norman one of its honorees.

A two-time British Open winner, the Australian will be inducted along with three former greatsposthumously major winners Tony Lema and Ken Venturi, and former amateur standout HarvieWard.

Norman, 61, is the headliner, and though some might remember him more for hisgut-wrenching losses in The Masters, the U.S. Open and the PGA Championship, aficionados know hewas the dominant player in the world at one point in his career. He once held the No.1 ranking for331 consecutive weeks in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

His British Open victories came in 1986 a season when he held the lead at some pointonSundayin all four major championships and in 1993. He finished second three times in theMasters, and twice each in the U.S. Open and PGA.

Norman was the PGA Tour leading money winner in 1986, 1990 and 1995, when he also was namedplayer of the year. He was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2001, and by then was wellon his to a successful second career in golf course design and various other businesses, includingwineries and a golf academy.

Lema was a 22-time pro winner whose lone major victory came in the British Open in 1964. Knownas Champagne Tony for his penchant to treat the media to champagne after his victories, his lifewas cut short at 32 when he and his wife Betty died in a plane crash in 1966.

Venturi is best known to contemporary golf fans for being a long-time television analyst. But in1956 he made a bid to become the first amateur to win The Masters, falling by a stoke to Jack BurkeJr.

His lone major victory came in the U.S. Open in 1964, the final round played in torrid head atCongressional in Bethesda, Md. Carpal tunnel syndrome in both wrists short-circuited his playingcareer in 1967, but thats when he started to make his move to the analysts booth.

Ward, a native of Tarboro, N.C., gained fame as a stalwart amateur player, stepping up to winthe NCAA championship in 1949 while at North Carolina. He went on to win both the U.S. Amateur andthe British Amateur titles before becoming a respected teacher of the game.

UFC 199 Athlete Outfitting pay: Title fights drive biggest payout in program history

INGLEWOOD, Calif.Fighters from Saturdays UFC 199 event took home UFC Athlete Outfitting pay, a program that launched after the UFCs deal with Reebok, totaling $297,500.

The amount marked the largest total issued at a single event since the programs inception.

In the nights main event, longtime UFC veteran Michael Bisping (29-7 MMA, 19-7 UFC) shocked the world, stepping in on a little more than two weeks notice and scoring a first-round knockout victory over Luke Rockhold (15-3 MMA, 5-2 UFC) to claim the UFC middleweight title.

By entering the night as champ, Rockhold scored a $40,000 check while Bisping netted $30,000 as the challenger.

Meanwhile, in the nights co-feature UFC bantamweight champ Dominick Cruz (22-1 MMA, 5-0 UFC) also earned $40,000 while scoring a clear-cut unanimous-decision win over longtime rival Urijah Faber (33-8 MMA, 9-4 UFC), who took home $30,000 for his efforts.

UFC 199 took place Saturday at The Forum in Inglewood, Calif. The main card aired on pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.

Under the UFC Athlete Outfitting programs payout tiers, which appropriate the money generated by Reeboks multi-year sponsorship withthe UFC, fighters are paid based on their total number of UFC bouts, as well as Zuffa-era WEC fights (January 2007 and later) and Zuffa-era Strikeforce bouts (April 2011 and later). Fighterswith 1-5 bouts receive $2,500 per appearance; 6-10 bouts get $5,000; 11-15 bouts earn$10,000; 16-20 bouts pocket$15,000; and 21 bouts and moreget $20,000. Additionally, champions earn $40,000 while title challengers get $30,000.

In addition to experience-based pay, UFC fighters will receive in perpetuity royalty payments amounting to 20-30 percent of any UFC merchandise sold that bears their likeness, according to officials.

Richard Simmons Released From Hospital After "Bizarre" Behavior: Report

Richard Simmons was reportedly released from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Saturday, June 4, just one day after he was hospitalized for exhibiting bizarre behavior.

According to TMZ, the fitness guru, 67, was taken to the hospital on Friday night after he became incoherent, alarming his longtime friend and housekeeper, who decided to call 911.

Paramedics were initially unsure if Simmons had suffered from a stroke, dementia or another illness, so they transported him to Cedars-Sinai for evaluation.

Since he was released from the hospital the next day, it appears that a stroke was ruled out, according to the site.

Earlier this year, the weight-loss specialists close friend told the New York Daily News that he was concerned Simmons was being held hostage by his housekeeper, Teresa Reveles, after he was out of the public eye for approximately two years.

In March, Simmons broke his silence with two new interviews, in which he insisted that his so-called disappearance was his way of staying out of the spotlight.

Mandatory Evacuations as Calabasas Fire Grows to 516 Acres

Calabasas fire under way. Thousands evacuated

A massive brush fire Saturday in the Calabasas area forced mandatory evacuations as rapid flames consumed 516 acres and threatened 3,000 homes, the Los Angeles County Fire Department said.

"This is a fast-moving, dangerous fire," Los Angeles County Fire Chief Dennis Cross said. "It"s hard for people to see where this fire is because of the dense canopy and the canyons."

The fire forced the mandatory evacuations of 5,000 people in the Highlands, Eddingham and Adamsville neighborhoods, fire officials said.

"Nobody can sit in their driveways or sit in their houses and ride this out. They need to get in their car and evacuate immediately," Cross said.

As of 6:45 a.m. Sunday, the blaze was 30 percent contained, Capt. KeithMorasaid.

Homeowners were emotional as they packed their cars with anything they could grab and were forced to evacuate.

Deputies grabbed hoses and began defending strangers" townhomes before firefighters arrived.

Residents living as far away as Studio City found ash sprinkled on their cars as smoke permeated through SoCal.

The fire was reported at 4 p.m. in the area of 23062 Mulholland Highway, and began edging closer to homes.

Old Topanga Boulevard was closed between Pacific Coast Highway and Cezanne Avenue as 1,000 firefighters, three water-dropping helicopters, and 24 engines were working to extinguish the blaze.

At least three homes were damaged, fire officials said, in addition to a nature conservancy building atMulholland Highway and Old Topanga Canyon Road that was completely gutted by the blaze.

The fire was ignited after a driver lost control of a sport utility vehicle and crashed into power poles, downing lines in three different places, Mora said. All of the hot spots merged into one massive blaze, dubbed the "Old Fire."

A propane tank exploded into flames in front of Calabasas Klubhouse Pre-School as the heat from the fire crept closer to the structure, located at3655 Old Topanga Canyon Road. A team of firefighters was defending the preschool.

Initially, a few thousand Southern California Edison customers experienced power outages after the car slammed into the power pole, David Song of SoCal Edison said. By 7 p.m., fewer than 200 were experiencing outages. Song said power should be fullyrestored by 3 p.m. Sunday.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department reported that one firefighter suffered a minor injury while battling the blaze.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff"s Department"s Lost Hills Station was in charge of evacuations. Residents were being evacuated toAgoura High School at28545 West Driver Avenue.

Anyone with large animals was asked to evacuate toLos Angeles Pierce College at6201 Winnetka Avenue in Woodland Hills.

The mandatory evacuations wereextended to the zonesin Old Topanga Canyon area until 8 a.m., the California Highway Patrol said.

Residents in the Calabasas area would be allowed to return home by 2 a.m., but power may still be out, LA County Fire officials said.

The large fire came as NBC4 Meteorologist Shanna Mendiola warned of excessive heat warnings across SoCal, along with dry winds.

A second fire began burning at 4:20 p.m. in the West Hills area, the same time as the Old Fire. Light wind was fueling the two-acre blaze, pushing it downhill into a ravine atKittridge Street and Valley Circle, according to LA County Fire.

The blaze was about five miles north of the Calabasas blaze, and was extinguished by 6:40 p.m., with no injuries or homes burned.

Earlier in the morning, a brush fire in Temeculaput drivers on high alert as it scorched 70 acres, forcing a closure of lanes on the southbound 15 Freeway. By the evening, and it was 20 percent contained.

Another smaller blaze was reported in the Santa Clarita area amid rising temperatures, burning one-eighth of an acre near Decoro Drive and McBean Parkway.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department compiled tips for what do if confronted with a fire. Experts advise tonot stop to gather your belongings just get out of the house if mandatory evacuations are ordered. "Call the Fire Department from a neighbors telephone after you are out of the house," a tip sheet read.

Calabasas is a city of about 24,000 residents in the hills west of the San Fernando Valley and northwest of downtown Los Angeles. It is home to several affluent gated communities and numerous celebrities.

Richard Simmons reportedly hospitalized for "bizarre" behavior

Former fitness guru Richard Simmons was taken to a Los Angeles hospital Friday night after exhibiting bizarre behavior, celebrity gossip site TMZ says.

The Los Angeles Fire Department told Entertainment Tonight that it responded to a call at Simmons house and that one person was transported by ambulance to the hospital. LAFD did not say that it was Simmons.

Neither TMZ nor Entertainment Tonight knew if Simmons was still hospitalized.

This is just the latest odd event involving Simmons.

In March the New York Daily News wrote a lengthy article wondering why Simmons had disappeared from the public eye and said that some of his friends feared he was being held against his will at his Hollywood Hills mansion.

Friends told the Daily News that Simmons stopped returning calls and emails more than two years ago, which is out of character for him.

The 67-year-old Simmons quickly sought to dismiss the rumors that he was a captive in his own house.

I am not kidnapped, he told Entertainment Tonight. I am just in my house right now. No one should be worried about me.

Longtime Simmons spokesperson Tom Estey told USA Today at the time that Richard Simmons has been in the public eye for 40 years, and hes opted out. Its his right to do it. Thats the gods honest truth. Theres nothing more to it than that.
