Late last week at San Diego Comic Con, the cast of FOX"s horror series "Scream Queens" including Lea Michele, above staged a panel to preview the upcoming season. And judging solely by Michele"s dress, we can only assume the plot will focus on a brand-new slasher who chops womens" outfits from neckline to navel.

Speaking of FOX shows we go crazy for, we recently interviewed "Empire" actress Jamila Velasquez about the funny circumstances that led to her audition. Watch the clip below to find out more, then barricade yourself indoors and turn off all the lights. There"s a mysterious clothing slasher on the loose!

Just hours after hinting on social media that her fianc was cheating on her (or maybe hours before it"s not really clear), Lindsay Lohan walked out on the balcony of her London home and loudly accused Egor Tarabasov of strangling her during a fight. And of course somebody videotaped the whole thing, so you can watch that here if you"d like to see the disturbing footage.

Also over the weekend at Comic Con, Lion"s Gate debuted a trailer for "Blair Witch," their surprise sequel to 1999"s "The Blair Witch Project" (below). Fans seemed pretty excited over the news, but only time will tell if audiences will still be frightened by bundles of sticks and incessant, petty arguments.

And again, at Comic Con: The producers of A&E"s "Psycho"-inspired series "Bates Motel" announced that Rihanna has been cast as Marion Crane aka, the motel guest who got murdered in the shower in the original film. And, in doing so, they"ve pretty much guaranteed that an entirely new generation of horror fans will never shower again.

Selena Gomez broke down and cried on stage during a concert in Jakarta over the weekend, and later wrote on Instagram that she needs "to rethink some areas of my life creatively and personally." That said, this can only mean one thing: no more Pantene Pro-V commercials.

Late last week, Warner Bros. debuted the first trailer for their "Wonder Woman" solo film starring Gal Gadot (below), which, from what we can gather, will focus on Wonder Woman"s quest to lasso and then viciously stab her enemies full of power, grace, wisdom and wonder:

And finally, according to TMZ, former NBA star Dennis Rodman has been identified as a "person of interest" in an investigation into a hit-and-run car accident on a California freeway. That said, this marks the first time that Rodman has been "of interest" in a long, long time.

The newest "Spider-man" super hero film is arriving very soon, rumoured to hit the cinemas worldwide next year. The "Spider-man: Homecoming" film will be the third take on Marvel"s Spiderman super hero, with already two different Spiderman franchise movies in Hollywood; "Spider-man: Homecoming" promises to be an exception.

Not a lot of details were revealed by the production team behind the newest Spiderman movie. "Spider-man: Homecoming" has been under wraps ever since its title announcement. The team also opted to hire Tom Holland, a rising star, to play the role of Peter Parker/Spiderman in "Spider-man: Homecoming".

In a recent post by Tom Holland on his social media, he uploaded a selfie picture wearing the red Spider-man suit hanging from something sturdy. This photo by Tom Holland is one of the rare set photo that has been uploaded and subjected to speculation for the upcoming "Spider-man: Homecoming" film.

There has also been numerous cast rumours that, according to many fans, will be on "Spider-man: Homecoming," even saying that there will be possible cameos by the members of the Avengers. It might be possible that there might be possible cameos since Spider-man did appear and debut in "Captain America: Civil War."

It has also been reported that Tom Holland started to do boxing to prepare for his role in "Spider-man: Homecoming" that led to the 20-year-old actor to have a ripped physique. As for the plotline of "Spider-man: Homecoming," it will be set during Peter Parker/Spider-man"s high school years, which deviates from the previous two franchises of the film.

It was also announced just this week that actress Angourie Rice will join the cast of "Spider-man: Homecoming," although there were not much details to this announcement. Fans believe that Angourie Rice will play Gwen Stacy in "Spider-man: Homecoming" who is Spiderman"s friend and later on girl friend.

Jennifer Lopez looked stunning in a sheer brown Balmain jumpsuit for her 47th birthday celebrations on Saturday night (23Jul16).

Jennifer Lopez turned up the glamour for her birthday bash in Las Vegas over the weekend (ends24Jul16).

The star turned turned 47 on Sunday (24Jul16), and kicked off celebrations with the help of some of her A-list friends the night before. Following her All I Have show at Planet Hollywood"s The Axis theatre on Saturday (23Jul16), the brunette beauty partied with the likes of Kim Kardashian and La La Anthony, choosing to don a Balmain jumpsuit for the event.

The Ain"t Your Mama singer showed off her famous curves in the outfit, which featured sheer panels down the side of the trousers and across the mid-section, showing off the mother-of-two"s toned abs to great effect. She kept the rest of the ensemble simple and elegant, accessorising with diamond studs and suede light brown high heeled pumps, piling her hair into a chic wavy ponytail.

And the Shades of Blue actress was clearly happy with the look, taking to Instagram to post a photo of herself standing by a swimming pool at the resort. "About last night... Pre birthday turn up!! @balmain @walik1," she captioned the snap. Meanwhile her friend La La, wife of NBA player Carmelo Anthony, also took to the social media website to express her excitement about Jennifer"s big night, writing: "Happy Birthday @jlo. We had so much fun tonight!!! Concert was AMAZING!!"

Earlier this month (Jul16), Jennifer shared that she had only one wish for her birthday - for there to be peace in the world following so much tragedy in recent times, including the terrorist attack in Nice, France, the failed military coup in Turkey and the killing of 49 people at the gay nightclub Pulse in Orlando, Florida.

"I wish something bigger than for myself," she told E! News. "I wish that the world would find a way to resolve our differences and have more love and unity right now."

I actually did 30 days buying everything I did a challenge on Twitter called 30 Day USA, where I was like, Im going to try to find everything made in America, and see if the industry actually does exist. And it was very difficult!

She also gets a special kick out of dodging credit for the pay-it-forward moments she does indulge in.

I think its actually more fun to be secretly generous because if you go to a restaurant and youre like, Im going to slip this person 200 bucks. Im going to do it. I dont want them to see because when I leave the restaurant, I feel giddy because I feel like a secret superhero. Try it Whats even cooler is when they dont know where it comes from.

I think the karma is more infinite because people dont believe that good people are the majority anymore, explained Bell. Human beings do not believe that good people are the majority. My data just tells me thats wrong!

Brie Larson is "Captain Marvel"

Marvel has made it official: Academy Award-winning actress Brie Larson will play Captain Marvel in the studio"s first female-led film.

Marvel made the announcement Saturday night during a panel at San Diego Comic-Con. Shortly after, Larson herself tweeted, "Call me Captain Marvel."

Larson has been rumored to be taking the part since June. The superheroine role will mark quite a change for the indie darling actress, who won an Oscar for her portrayal of a woman held captive with her young son in 2015"s "Room."

It wasn"t always clear the film would center on a female iteration of the Captain Marvel character -- an Air Force officer who acquires superpowers. Then in 2014, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige put speculation to rest at a publicity event when he said "I want to make it very clear: This hero"s name is Carol Danvers."

The standalone Captain Marvel film is being planned for the third phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and is currently set to debut in March 2019.

The annual flood of movie news and previews coming out of San Diego Comic-Con has begun.

In addition to Justice League and Wonder Woman, fans are getting their first glimpses of many other highly-anticipated projects.

A King Kong origin story titled Kong: Skull Island is coming to theaters on March 10, 2017.

Directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts, the film stars Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, Brie Larson, Jason Mitchell, Corey Hawkins, Toby Kebbell, Tom Wilkinson, Terry Notary, John Goodman and John C. Reilly.

Director Guy Ritchie is reinventing the legend of King Arthur, apparently with significantly more street fighting. King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, starring Charlie Hunnam and Jude Law, is set for release March 24, 2017.

Academy Award-winner Eddie Redmayne enters the wizarding world of Harry Potter in "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," slated for release on Nov. 18. Jon Voight and Colin Farrell also star in this adventurous tale of "magizoology."

Also revealed on Saturday was a trailer for Blair Witch, a previously-unannounced sequel to 1999s The Blair Witch Project coming September 16, 2016.
