Carson Palmer in concussion protocol after Cards loss

Carson Palmer Highlights (Divisional Playoffs) | Packers vs. Cardinals | NFL

Carson Palmer exited early for the Cardinals following a hard hit he endured on a Rams sack in the fourth quarter in a 17-13 loss. He was evaluated for a concussion, per the team. Coach Bruce Arians told reporters after the game that Palmer is in concussion protocol.

Palmer was seen getting checked by Arizona"s trainers on the sideline following the quarterback takedown, and then went to the locker room for his apparent injury. Drew Stanton came on to replace the veteran quarterback.

Arians also stated that the team will be "very, very careful" in dealing with Palmer"s concussion, and said it will be tough for Palmer to play on a short week against the 49ers on Thursday night.

Before Palmer left the game, the Cardinals were clinging onto a 13-10 lead. After a Chase Keenum to Brian Quick touchdown with less than three minutes remaining to give the Rams the late advantage, Stanton was unable to lead the Cardinals to victory following two interceptions on his two drives in action. He ended up completing four of his 11 throws after coming off the bench.

Palmer was 23 of 36 through the air for 288 yards along with a touchdown toss and interception before the injury. Stanton, a 10-year veteran, threw four passes in mop-up duty two weeks ago for his only prior season action in Arizona"s blowout win against the Buccaneers.

It was a rough day for both NFC Championship participants, as both the Cardinals and Panthers fell to 1-3 on the season with each of their star quarterbacks getting knocked out of the game.

"Five Nights At Freddy"s Sister Location" Dev Not Planning Sequels But Says It Will Be Different

FNAF Sister Location: The Most Jump Scares & Screaming | FNAF Sisters Location Gameplay (FNAF 5)

Five Nights At Freddys Sister Location releases in a few weeks, so series creator Scott Cawthon has shed some light on sequel possibilities, features and more in various Steam community posts.

Among the new revelations, the most surprising fact is that, unlike its Five Nights At Freddys predecessors, Sister Location doesnt have any planned follow ups. That all depends, Cawthon told one inquisitive fan. Sister Location is different from the other games and is very story-driven. We"ll just have to wait and see how people respond. It was further confirmed that as of now however, there aren"t any plans for a sequel.

In that single quote, not only does Cawthon admit that the upcoming spinoff might be a standalone effort, but he also describes it as something new. This latter sentiment was elaborated on when Cawthon hinted that some of the franchises most beloved modes wouldnt work for this product. When probed about the possibility of a custom night feature, for example, Scott clarified that having a custom night wouldn"t really work with Sister Location [because] It"s a very different experience than the other games.

In previous Five Nights At Freddys titles, players could select custom night to make a level of their own difficulty setting. Typically this meant cranking all values to their highest levels and attempting to withstand the challenge. The fact that a staple like that doesnt work in Sister Location means that it must have a very different mechanical base. Could it be that there arent as many animatronics during each night or that defending against them isnt actually the goal this time?

Those kinds of details will be known when Five Nights At Freddys Sister Location releases on Oct. 7. Unlike past installments, Cawthon insists that this game will release on the right date as he continues to add little details that make the game better.

Until then, the rest of the Five Nights At Freddys series is available now on PC and mobile devices.

Will Scott Cawthon change his mind and make a Sister Location sequel? Will the spinoff really be that different? Tell us in the comments section!

Blue Jay: Mark Duplass on acting with Sarah Paulson | EW.com

Sarah Paulson Raps Salt-N-Pepa"s "Shoop"

Mark Duplass was intimidated the first time he met Emmy-winning actress Sarah Paulson. It didnt take long for the duo to connect and lay the foundation for Blue Jay, their upcoming two-hander. Some levity helped.

I was just shocked at the level of gleeful fart jokes that were coming out of her mouth, and I was like, Shes just a really sweet, normal girl, and I havent seen that person on camera yet, Duplass told EW. So I asked her to do it, and in between all seven of her Ryan Murphy shows, she found seven days for us to shoot. It was great, intensely collaborative. It was a very introspective process.

Blue Jay features Duplass and Paulson playing former high school sweethearts who serendipitously cross paths at a grocery store in their hometown, moving from a quick catch-up to spending hours together. Duplass acknowledges the movie doesnt explore new ground, but strove to give the story a new element.

When we went into this, we were very realistic that we could make a huge stinker. I was up all night worrying about the whole movie, to be honest with you, he said. Theres very little plot, and there wasnt a lot on the page. It was about trying to find the chemistry between me and Sarah Paulson.

My whole thing with making a movie like this is, youre trying to capture lightning in a bottle, he added. Youre trying to foster an environment where the first take probably sucks, second takes kind of getting on its feet, third take were feeling it out, and oh my G*d! it clicks in on that fourth take. Because its unrehearsed and youre looking for it, it has a spontaneity to it that Im always chasing.

Blue Jay is Mark and his brother Jay Duplass first of four movies with Netflix. Mark Duplass penned the screenplay, while Alex Lehmann makes his directorial debut and also served as cinematographer.

See the interview above and a trailer below. Blue Jay debuts in theaters on Friday, hits digital and VOD platforms on Tuesday, and Netflix shortly after that.

Speaker Paul Ryan cancels Donald Trump"s invitation to Wisconsin event

Paul Ryan "SICKENED" by Trump remarks, Pence ignores questions about Trump"s vulgarities #TrumpTapes

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Donald Trump says running mate Mike Pence will campaign in Wisconsin in his place Saturday, following the release of a damaging video from 2005 that shows the Republican presidential nominee making crude and sexist remarks.

Trump says in a statement that he will be spending Saturday in New York preparing for Sunday"s second presidential debate.

He says he"ll be joined by Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus, Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey and Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions.

House Speaker Paul Ryan announced earlier Friday night that Trump would no longer be attending the annual Wisconsin fall festival in the wake of the release of crass footage that depicts Trump bragging about his sexual exploits.

The appearance would have been the pair"s first together.

Speaker Ryan uninvited Trump to the First Congressional District Republican Party of Wisconsin Fall Fest in Elkhorn. Speaker Ryan and Senator Ron Johnson will be in attendance.

Ryan released the following statement:

I am sickened by what I heard today. Women are to be championed and revered, not objectified. I hope Mr. Trump treats this situation with the seriousness it deserves and works to demonstrate to the country that he has greater respect for women than this clip suggests. In the meantime, he is no longer attending tomorrows event in Wisconsin.

Julian Assange warns WikiLeaks will make "significant disclosures ...

Wikileaks Hacked Hillary Campaign E-mails Confirm Extraterrestrial Intelligence?

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange promised "significant" disclosures on subjects including the U.S. election and Google in the coming weeks as the secret-spilling group marked its 10th anniversary on Tuesday.

Assange said WikiLeaks plans to start publishing new material starting this week, but wouldn"t specify the timing and subject and warned that the so called "October Surprise" may expose Google.

The war between Assange and the tech giant started in 2014 when he wrote about the company in his book titled, "When Google Met Wikileaks", according to Recode.

"Nobody wants to acknowledge that Google has grown big and bad," Assange wrote in the book.

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange (pictured in 2016) promised "significant" disclosures on subjects including the U.S. election and Google in the coming weeks as the secret-spilling group marked its 10th anniversary on Tuesda

Assange (pictured above on Tuesday) said WikiLeaks plans to start publishing new material starting this week

"But it has. Schmidt"s tenure as CEO saw Google integrate with the shadiest of U.S. power structures as it expanded into a geographically invasive megacorporation."

Assange became concerned about former Google CEO Eric Schmidt"s ties with the State Department in 2009 when Hillary Clinton was serving as secretary of state.

He has claimed that Schmidt, who is a chairman at the company, has worked with the Clintons for years, as Donald Trump accused Google of political bias saying that it suppresses negative news about Clinton.

Speaking by video link to an anniversary news conference in Berlin earlier this week, he said the leaks include "significant material" on war, arms, oil, internet giant Google, the U.S. election and mass surveillance.

WikiLeaks hopes "to be publishing every week for the next 10 weeks," Assange said.

Assange wrote in his 2014 book that "Schmidt"s (file above) tenure as CEO saw Google integrate with the shadiest of U.S. power structures as it expanded into a geographically invasive megacorporation"

The group, which released Democratic National Committee emails days before the party"s national convention earlier this year, wouldn"t say who or what campaign would be affected by the upcoming U.S. election leaks.

Assange said speculation that he or WikiLeaks intend to harm Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton is "false."

Asked whether he feels any personal affinity with Clinton"s Republican rival, Donald Trump, Assange replied: "I feel personal affinity really, I think, with all human beings."

"I certainly feel sorry for Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump," he added. "These are two people that are tormented by their ambitions in different ways."

Wikileaks came to prominence a decade ago by publishing classified documents that related to prisoners in the United States" Guantanamo Bay, NSA surveillance of world leaders and military operations in Afghanistan.

In addition, millions of diplomatic and military files were made public by Wikileaks from US soldier Chelsea Manning who is currently serving a 35-year prison term for leaking the information.

Sweden is seeking Assange"s extradition in a rape investigation.

He hasn"t left the Ecuadorean Embassy in London since 2012.

Assange denies the rape allegation and says he fears being extradited to the U.S. to face espionage charges if he leaves.

Could Hurricane Matthew interact with Hurricane Nicole?

The path of hurricane Nicole and hurricane Matthew

As Hurricane Matthew makes its way up the Florida coast, forecasters now predict that the storm will go back into the Atlantic and head back toward us.

>> Read more trending stories

But as Matthew makes that turn into the Atlantic, it could get in Hurricane Nicole"s path, resulting in both storms interacting with one another. This phenomenon is calledthe Fujiwara effect.

Named after a Japanese meteorologist, this phenomenon can happen when tropical cyclones are less then 900 miles between each other.

>> Read the latest on Hurricane Matthew

But what happens when they collide?

If one storm is stronger and bigger than the other, it will simply "absorb" the storm. But if they are both of similar strengths the two will move around their common mid-point and "dance" around each other, according to weather.about.com.

A recent example of the Fujiwara effect is Hurricane Wilma in 2005. Wilma "absorbed" Tropical Storm Alpha after making landfall in south Florida.

The possibility of this happening with Hurricane Matthew is still "highly speculative," our news partners at WPTV report. But Matthew"s forecasted path is not as odd as people may think.

In 2004 Hurricane Ivan showed a similar path to Matthew, but instead made it"s way into the Gulf of Mexico hitting Alabama. The storm then moved north into the Atlantic Ocean, turning around south to hit Florida, and then moving back into the Gulf of Mexico to make landfall a third time in Louisiana.

N.J. lawmakers want Christie response to Hurricane Sandy report

Hurricane Sandy: Super Storm Slams East Coast States

WASHINGTONTwo New Jersey members of the U.S. Housewant Gov. Chris Christie to respond to a government watchdog reportthat questioned how the state spent $43 million in Hurricane Sandyhousing funds.

Reps. Frank Pallone Jr. (D-6th Dist.) and Bill Pascrell Jr. (D-9th Dist.) said Christie needs to account for the money spent on the housing programs and make sure that future funding is properlyhanded out. They plan to release a letter at a press conference in Moonachie on Friday.

New Jerseyhad awarded a three-year, $67.7-million contract to Hammerman and Gainer Inc. to distribute funds for three housing programs, butended it after one yearfollowing complaints by homeowners aboutinept management, poor communication and long delays. The state wound up paying $43.5 million.

U.S. questions $43M in Sandy spending

"We want answers for the folks who were left without homes," Pallone and Pascrell saidin a joint statement. "We want answers because this federal funding was spent improperly. We want answers and we want action to ensure this doesn"t happen again when the next storm hits New Jersey."

The HUD inspector general said the Christie administration did not properly account for$43.1 million. The report saidthestate did not ensure that the disbursements met a national objective, that the prices were fair and reasonable, the costs were necessary and there wasproper documentation forlabor and travel costs.

The inspector general said HUD should either require proper documentation or demand that the state repay the agency.

The New Jerseyattorney general"s office rejected the findings, saying there was proper documentation for the expenses, that the state Department of Community Affairs corrected some of the problems while the agreementwas in place, and that the state properly followed its own rules in awarding the contract.

The two Democratic lawmakers earlier sought an investigation by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in 2014 after the state ended its agreement with Hammerman & Gainer.

"We fought too hard for these federal disaster recovery dollars to stand by while they are recklessly mismanaged," the lawmakers wrote at the time. "New Jerseyans who are still struggling to put their lives back together over a year after Hurricane Sandy deserve better."

Pascrell and Pallone have been critical of the state"s response to Sandy. After New Jersey in January got only $15 millionof the$326 million it requestedin disaster relief under a program funded in the Hurricane Sandy aid package, Pallone said the state submitted"a lousy application"and Pascrell gave the administration"poor grades."
