Sage the Gemini has made it clear he really, really misses ex-girlfriend Jordin Sparks.

On Tuesday, the rapper posted a now-deleted message to the American Idol alum, 26, making it clear on Instagram that he regrets their recent breakup.

"You the only girl I can call at 3 in the morning and you"ll answer no problem," he wrote, per Entertainment Tonight.

He continued: "You the only girl that can wake up out of a dead sleep and get me some water because I was coughing in my sleep, the only girl that loves me the way you were supposed to."

The rapper reportedly shared his lovelorn comments alongside a sweet image of the former pair. He made it clear he was missing her during the weekend, which included both Valentine"s Day and the Grammy Awards.

"I miss you too much to watch you look so amazing at the [Clive] Davis party and not be able to call you and express how much I appreciated the look because you won"t answer nor text back. The feeling is horrible," he reportedly wrote.

Although the message and photo have disappeared from Instagram, a reference remains on Twitter. On Tuesday, he retweeted a message from a fan who included a link to an article about his effusive post.

"@SageTheGemini this was beautiful and you get all my respect. I hope things work out. You guys were just the cutest," the fan wrote.

The rapper and Sparks recently split after 10 months together.

In August, she talked to PEOPLE about her attraction to her fellow musician.

"He"s a great guy. He makes me smile every single day," Sparks said. "He"s just very low-key and down to Earth as well. We don"t have to always worry about getting up and getting ready or feeling like we have to."
