GRAND RAPIDS, MI - An overnight lake effect snow storm created hazardous conditions forcing the closure of several schools along the Lakeshore Wednesday, Feb. 10.
West Ottawa, Holland, Zeeland and Grand Haven are among school districts closed.
A winter storm warming remains in effect for the area from the National Weather Service.
Michigan schools are allowed six days of cancellations per year before students have to make up the missed days.
