What to Watch on Monday: "Better Call Saul" and get to the Grammys


The Real Saul Goodman from "Breaking Bad" and "Better Call Saul"?

Better Call Saul (10 p.m., AMC) I would wonder how this show could be any better in the second season than it was in its first, but its by Vince Gilligan, who brought us Breaking Bad, so Im without doubt. In tonights Season 2 premiere, Jimmy and Kims relationship takes turn, and Mike feels its best to sever his affiliation with an unrestrained associate.

Also on tonight . . .

Grammy Awards (8 p.m., CBS) The 58th annual awards show, hosted by LL Cool J, features a number of North Carolina nominees (J. Cole, Rapsody, Rhiannon Giddens). Adele and Kendrick Lamar are among those expected to perform. Also, Earth, Wind & Fire receive a Lifetime Achievement Award.

The X-Files (8 p.m., Fox) After an art gallery bombing, Mulder and Scully must find a way to communicate with a comatose bomber in hopes of preventing more attacks.

Major Crimes (9 p.m., TNT) A young woman and her 3-year-old son are shot to death while driving through gang territory in the wrong colored car.
