Viewers curse Christmas as BBC and ITV air Frozen and The Lion King at the same time

When you have to decide between The Lion King and Frozen, you know it"s going to be a bad day that isn"t going to get any easier.

After filling their bellies with more turkey, goose and hams than anybody who cares about their waistline should consume, viewers were left aghast on Christmas Day as they were forced to choose between two titans of cinema.

Having already done battle this year with Strictly Come Dancing and X Factor, BBC One and ITV were at it again with family movies threatening to split families in half.

One person tweeted: "The big question of the day is Frozen or The Lion King?," as another posted: "Lion King vs Frozen Old school vs New school Simba vs Elsa Christmas Day just got interesting , Surely there"s only one winner here?"

Another wrote: "Putting The Lion King up against Frozen on Christmas Day for families is just taking the p**s. BBC ITV get a grip ffs."

Some people had already made their decision clear and were going with the classic Lion King.

"IF YOU DARE WATCH FROZEN OVER LION KING, JUST BLOCK ME RIGHT NOW. HOW CAN YOU BE SUCH A DIABOLICAL HUMAN BEING," wrote one Simba fan.

Another added: "Mufasa didn"t die for you lot to watch Frozen over Lion King on Christmas Day."

Is Frozen really a classic?Olaf is the most annoying Disney character ever

Well, we don"t know what the big broadcasters were thinking by putting these two amazing films up against each other, but we can only assume they enjoy seeing us all squeal in pain.

Usually, we"d always pick The Lion King over anything else, but can we deal with all those commercial breaks? Then again there is no character in Disney history more annoying than Olaf... apart from Jar Jar Binx.
