Those forgetful children found the answers, because by March 2015 searches for the same term fell to 301,000. The data pulled by iQuanti -- which helps advertisers use data to drive better results -- also analyzed google.comsearch results for the term "what day is mothers day," reaching 60,500 searches in May 2014, dropping to 8,100 searches in March 2015.

When comparing Mother's Day and Father's Day searchactivity on google.com, the iQuanti data recognized a 20% drop in the number of people looking for Father's Day gifts compared with Mother's Day gifts. Searches for the term "Mother's Day" averaged1.5 million in the month -- May 2014 -- of the holiday, compared with "Fathers Day" at 1.2 million searches during June 2014.

iQuanti's data from Google searches puts the average monthlysearch for the exact keyword match for "mothers day poems" at 27,100 from April 2014 to March 2015. "Mothers day flowers" averaged 12,100; "mothers day cards," 14,800; "mothers day pictures," 9,900;"happy mothers day quotes," 9,900; "mothers day brunch," 4,400; and "mothers day jewelry," 2,400.

Tina Fey strips on David Letterman and declares she is done with 'conforming ...

The comedian explained to Letterman that she would be conforming to gender expectations for one night only in order to honour his departure by wearing a "fancy" dress.

I realise that when you retire this is it; Im never gonna wear a fancy dress on a talk show again, she said.

First of all: its very hard work, and I dont know if youre aware of the contraptions. Under here its almost medical.

Because this is my last time wearing a fancy dress on a talk show and conforming to gender norms out of respect for you, my gift to you is I wanna give you the dress.

The 30 Rock creator then stood up and asked Letterman to unzip it for her before wriggling out of it and revealing body-shaping underwear accompanied by a black leotard with Bye Dave printed across the front.

Her leotard also had #lastdressever written across the back, which Fey displayed briefly before declaring: Never again!

Feys sketches often revolve around feminist themes. She most recently joined Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Patricia Arquette to celebrate Louis-Dreyfuss last f***able day in a parody sketch attacking ageism in the film industry for Comedy Central.

Explaining the concept of a day when the media decides a woman is not "believably fuckable", she said: "You know, how Sally Field was Tom Hanks' love interest in Punchline then like 20 minutes later she was his mum in Forest Gump".

Fey also promised that the next time we see here she'll be wearing a "slanket".

Bill Simmons and Dan Patrick: Goodell Gauging Public Reaction Before Brady ...

Bill Simmons was a guest on theDan Patrick Show today. Clearly, the Ballghazi report was the topic of conversation.Having had some time to digest everything, Simmons was not in asmuch of full-on homer mode as yesterday, and, while impugning the NFL for a characteristically haphazard investigation, did not come out in total defense of Tom Brady. Some highlights:

    • Simmons started: Im glad youre bringing on Tony Dungy. That will be a balanced take. All these people whose butts were kicked by the Patriots over the last 15 years, now in the media, coming out and acting hysterically about deflategate Bill Polian, Tony Dungy, Marshall Faulk.
    • He thinks Brady shouldhave handled this better in the immediate aftermath. Maybe the b***s were at the low end of regulation and there were various, illegal-but-legalways to bring their PSIs down? This shouldnt be something that haunts him for the next 60 years, but we know how sports works. This is gonna be brought up with him for the rest of his career. And it seems like such a low stakes thing. I wish he had just come out from the beginning clearly he knewsomething was going on I wish he had just been a little more forthright in the first week.
    • He just handled it badly, Simmons said. And I dont know how you fix that. Because, as you know, this is a very unforgiving sports culture in 2015. Its all about extremes. Everythings either the best or the worst. Youre either the most dishonest person ever, or youre the best person ever. This is just the way sports is now. This is how we consume it.
    • Simmons didnt find the Wells Report to be profoundlyconvincing in the evidentiary sense, and didnt blame Brady for not turning over his cell phone, especially in light of the NFLs habit of leaking everything.

Simmons and Patrick agreed that the NFL is gauging public reaction to the Wells Report in order to determine how they should proceed with discipline. Otherwise, wouldnt they announce it when the report was released? Theyre basing things off of reaction now, and they never used to do that, Patrick said. So the tail wags the dog with the NFL, which is kind of surprising.

Ill go further than you, Simmons said. I think its pathetic. Roger Goodellhas handled so many things so poorly that its reached a point now where you have something like this, where its taken four months to release the report, and he knew everything that was in it. He knows the results before the report is released to the public, and yet doesnt have the testicular fortitude to do anything about it until he gauges the public reaction.

If Goodell is indeed basing punishment based on some of the fire takes Ive seen (Woody Paige, for example, said Brady should be suspended for an entire season), the announced, pre-inevitable-appeal discipline is going to be of the fire and brimstone variety.

UPDATE:Since this post went up, Simmons and ESPN parted ways. Our site reported that the split had a lot to do with money; multiple other reports (hereand here) have cited this interview from yesterday as the tipping point in the fissure.

Five things to watch in tonight's NASCAR Sprint...

Tonight begins a key stretch for NASCAR Sprint Cup teams that could give a hint of what is to come.

The SpongeBob SquarePants 400 at Kansas Speedway is the first of three consecutive races on 1.5-mile speedways tracks that comprise half of the Chase races. After tonights race, the series heads to Charlotte for the Sprint All-Star race and the Coca-Cola 600. Both Kansas and Charlotte host Chase races.

In two of the first three races on 1.5-mile tracks this season (Atlanta and Texas), the finishing order has been the same with Jimmie Johnson first, Kevin Harvick second, Dale Earnhardt Jr. third and Joey Logano fourth. Harvick won at Las Vegas in the only other race on a 1.5-mile track this season.

So can anybody break into what seems to be a relatively exclusive club over the next three races?

These next three weeks I think are going to be very important, said Carl Edwards, who has not finished better than 10th in the first three races on 1.5-mile tracks. I think theyre going to tell us a lot about the season going forward. If in these next three weeks as a group, our (Joe Gibbs Racing) Toyotas can work on some of the things we have planned and they are successful.

Then it could give teams the direction they need to head for the fall. After Charlotte, there is only one 1.5-mile track on the schedule (Kentucky on July 11) until the Chase for the Sprint Cup begins in September.

Heres what else to watch for in tonights race:

Tires could be a factor. They were last fall at this track. Dale Earnhardt Jr. was leading when a tire went down and he hit the wall. Brad Keselowski also had a tire go down and he slammed the wall. Others also had problems.

Could it happen again?

I think anytime we come to Kansas we are a little nervous about tires just because of what weve seen in the past and a lot of what happened here in the fall race where a lot of the fast cars were blowing right fronts out, said Joey Logano, who won that race last fall and starts tonights race on the pole.

It always makes you a little nervous, but at the same time we put our faith in Goodyear to make the right decisions and we feel fine about it. Our car didnt have a problem last time, but I know we were on the verge of it because a lot of cars were.

Said Jeff Gordon about tire issues inlast falls race: I know Goodyear has made a slight adjustment to the tire to help with that. We saw a couple issues last year. We personally on Team 24 did not have issues, but you never know how close you are to the edge. Even with less downforce on the cars, the amount of power thats been reduced has made the cars a lot faster through the center of the corner. We enter the corner slower and exit the corner slower, but going through the crucial part of the load on the tire and how we sustain that through the center of the corner is up, and thats a reason for concern.

Could Martin Truex Jr. be a dark horse? It is hard to call the driver second in points a dark horse but dont forget about him. While he enters tonights race with a 66-race winless drought, he scored his best finish of the season last year at this track when he placed fourth in the fall.

Truex has been strong this season with nine top-10 finishes in the first 10 races. At the 1.5-mile tracks this season, hes placed sixth (Atlanta), second (Las Vegas) and ninth (Texas).

The car has had good speed and its driven good, Truex said after qualifying fourth. This is a brand new car for us, and I feel like its another step as far as catching a few of those guys on speed.

Erik Jones makes his official Sprint Cup debut. While he replaced Denny Hamlin during the Bristol race last month, the records list Hamlin in the finishing order as if Jones didnt drive that race. That wont be the case tonight. Jones, who had never driven at Kansas Speedway until this weekend, has been fast.

We could knock off laps back and forth that were pretty good and that was nice, Jone said. Definitely confident in the race. Im just excited to get going.

Could Jimmie Johnson have a rough night? Hes won two of the three races on 1.5-mile speedways this season but qualified 19th. He struggled some in practice with short-run speed. If there are a number of cautions both Kansas races had eight last year or cautions bunched toward the end of the race where short-run speed is necessary, Johnson could face a challenge.

We have qualified much worse and finished pretty darn well, so directionally we are going the right way but we just wish we had the magic want to fix the short-run speed, he said.

Shark Tank Goes Deeper With Beyond the Tank Spinoff

Listen to the recording of this article below:

As the hit ABC reality show Shark Tank enters its seventh season with the premiere episode tonight, its new spinoff Beyond The Tank delves deeper into the stories in its second episode. Over eight million viewers watch Shark Tank each week, and ABC is looking to extend the brand with Beyond The Tank. The new show goes more into depth on what happens to business owners, or people with a dream, once they leave the set of Shark Tank with one of the shows investors in the fold. This is not a given, since almost half of the agreements do not get finalized after the show, if the two parties do not agree to terms, according to Shark Tank veteran investor Mark Cuban.

In tonights episode of Beyond The Tank, Cuban expands upon his agreement with Diana and Josh Harbour, founders of The Red Dress Boutique fashion store and website. Last October on Shark Tank, Cuban and the Harbours did agree to a 15 percent ownership share of the company for Cuban. The company is very successful, generating over $14 million in revenue annually. Cuban is actively involved in the decision-making process. The companys website actually crashed from all of the traffic gained from the appearance last year, so Cuban made sure the site was upgraded. He wanted an entirely new site built, but the Harbours held firm on their original. Diana Harbour says they speak or message each other on a daily basis about the companys direction, and tonights show provides the details on how this co-ownership is working out for both sides.

Dating back to Season 5, in December of 2013, Shark Tanks Daymond John agreed to invest in De-Boned Baby Back Ribs, and tonights Beyond The Tank goes deeper into this venture. It was created by former Cleveland Brown NFL Player Al Bubba Baker. The concept is as simple the name suggests. Ribs that can be eaten with a knife and fork, as the bones have been removed. Problems abound as Bakers distributor left him after he could not meet the demand for the product the show generated, so the hunt for a new partner ensues, with John heading to Ohio for an update.

In last weeks season premiere, Robert Herjavec provided a closer look at the year-round sweater makers Tipsy Elves. In Herjavecs office in Toronto, co-founder Nick Morton, discusses the issue of leaving a successful dental practice for his new business full-time. When is leaving job security behind for a new business venture the right thing to do? The answer is not always as easy as it was for Herjavec, who was fired from his job at Logiquest, creating an instant silver lining for him to pursue his passion, his own business, BRAK Systems.

Dont quit your job if its going to hurt your family, he says, but at the same time, a business is a living, breathing thing. If you dont quit your job, its never going to grow. But only you can make that decision.

Herjavec bought 10 percent of the company with a $100k investment in 2013, and immediately made a bunch of suggestions that have changed the scope of the company. Tipsy Elves made over $3 million in 2013, but sales more than doubled in 2014, approaching $8 million. The key was going from a seasonal Christmas sweater company to a year-round apparel manufacturer. Also, making not just unisex clothing, but mens, womens and kids clothing helped. Advice from a successful mentor like Herjavec has broadened the companys horizons and revenue. Now, they can focus on holidays throughout the year and build on their success.

Friday nights are where Shark Tank andBeyond The Tankgo deeper into the reality of business. Shark Tanks season premiere is tonight at 8PM ET, followed by Beyond The Tank at 9PM ET.

Gambler loses $297K Scottish referendum winnings on UK election bet

Louis Dor, The Independent 9:17 a.m. EDT May 9, 2015

A bookmaker displays the odds on the result of the U.K. general election before the polls.(Photo: Leon Neal, AFP/Getty Images)

A man who made $297,000 by successfully betting on the outcome of the Scottish referendum is thought to have made the biggest ever loss on a political bet with a failed venture on the U.K. general election.

The anonymous man previously bet $1,386,000 on the outcome of September's Scottish referendum, winning $297,000.

This year he placed a $308,000 bet at 2/9 on a hung parliament and then added a further $8,500, wiping out the profits from his previous bet, and more.

A spokesman from bookmaker William Hill said: "For the majority of the night we were convinced he was on to a winner but things then spiraled against him.

"This is the biggest ever loss on a political bet but I have spoken to the man and he will live to fight another day. He is going to take a low profile for a while.

"He was more concerned that his analysis of the election didn't work out, more than losing the bet.

"It has been a remarkable series of bets," Hill added. "Although he lost, many of our clients have flourished. It has been quite an expensive night for us."

Elsewhere a gambler from the Midlands put $4,000 on a Conservative majority four days ago in Betfred and won $71,000, while Paddy Power's biggest win was a customer who won $38,500 by betting David Cameron would continue as prime minister.
