Ted Cruz: GOP Presidential Candidate Removes Ad With Actress Amy Lindsay Featured in Porn Films
Texas Senator Ted Cruz has pulled a political ad after learning the actress in it was a softcore p**n star.
The Republican presidential candidate targeted rival Sen. Marco Rubio in the 30-second spot, titled "Conservatives Anonymous." Amy Lindsay plays a GOP voter in a support group, telling others to "vote for more than just a pretty face next time."
The commercial ends with Cruz appearing, saying he approves of the message. His campaign later said they didn"t know about the actress" filmography.
Lindsay, who describes herself as a Christian conservative and Republican herself, has more than 70 film and TV credits, including an episode of "Star Trek: Voyager." The more salacious titles include "Celebrity s*x Tape," "Black Tie Nights," "Milf," "Erotic Confessions" and "Forbidden Sins."
"The actress responded to an open casting call. She passed her audition and got the job," a spokesman for Cruz"s campaign said. "Unfortunately, she was not vetted by the production company. Had the campaign known of her full filmography, we obviously would not have let her appear in the ad."
"Extremely disappointed the #TedCruz campaign pulled the national television spot I had a role in," she responded on Twitter, along with the hashtag #myvotecounts. In other recent tweets, she shared a photo of herself with adult film star Ron Jeremy.
On Friday, Cruz moved forward with a new political ad that spoofs the 1999 comedy "Office Space." The clip features a Hillary Clinton lookalike and a rap song that says "d**n it feels good to be a Clinton," parodying a scene where Ron Livingston beats up a computer printer with two co-workers.
According to The Hill, the spot mocks the Democratic candidate over her use of a personal email server while she was Secretary of State.

And for whatever reason, Sebastian decides Nobby can provide some help on his world-saving mission.
The trailer features plenty of previously glimpsed gags, but there arealso a few new scenes, including a Bill Cosby-related joke during a bit featuring Gabourey Sidibe. Not included in the new clip is the scene that was deemed too graphic to appear during Cohens stop onJimmy Kimmel Live!,though that audiences reaction to the off-camera sequence suggests this red-band trailer is only the tip of what Cohens latest film has in store.

Ghostbusters actress Kristen Wiig did her best Peyton Manning impression as she dressed up as the Super Bowl-winning quarterback Thursday on The Tonight Show.
In a blonde wig and the full Denver Broncos uniform, Wiig joked with host Jimmy Fallon about Sundays big game, which she seemed to know little about. Im thinking Im so far from the line and I have to get it to the, I gotta do it, gotta get this ball to the guy Wiig said when asked about the last moments of the Super Bowl.
When quizzed about an elaborate ring she was wearing, Wiig said: Oh this, its this little thing my wife gave me and she wears a tie.
But the best bit of the fake interview was when Fallon asked to to show Mannings talent as the the greatest quarterback to ever play the game by throwing a golden football into a hole.
Lets just say it didnt go well. Watch the clip above.

GLENDALE, Ariz. Two students were shot and killed Friday at a high school in the Phoenix suburb of Glendale but the danger at the campus was over, police said, as worried parents crowded stores nearby to await word on their children.
Glendale Officer Tracey Breeden told reporters that both were 15-year-old girls and were shot once at Independence High School. Authorities were not searching for any suspects, and a weapon was found near the bodies, she said.
She did not say who fired the shots and had no information on the relationship between the girls, who died at the scene. They were found near an administration building.
She told parents awaiting word on their kids that "your children are safe."
No one can leave or enter the campus of more than 2,000 students until police ensure the school"s safety and lift the lockdown, Glendale Union High School District said in a statement on its website.
Worried parents packed a nearby Walmart parking lot, and dozens of others gathered at a convenience store.
Cheryl Rice said she went to the store after a friend called about the shooting and asked after Rice"s 15-year-old daughter.
"Oh my G*d, it could be my daughter," Rice recalled thinking.
But the girl called as Rice arrived at the store.
"She said, "I"m OK," so I of course started crying," Rice said.
She said it was horrible waiting for word about her child.
"You don"t know if it"s your daughter or not. You don"t know who"s being bullied. You don"t know who is being picked on. You don"t know anything. It could be anybody," Rice said.
Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey tweeted his sympathies, saying, "Our prayers are with the students, educators & families at Independence High School & all the first responders on the scene."
Henry Kissinger Talks Islamic State And Trump After criticizing Hillary Clinton"s Iraq War vote at tonight"s presidential Democratic debate in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Bernie Sanders turned to attacking Clinton"s relationship with Henry Kissinger, whom Sanders called "one of the most destructive secretaries of state."
"In her book and in this last debate, she talked about getting the approval or the support or the mentoring of Henry Kissinger," Sanders said. "Now I find it rather amazing because I happen to believe that Henry Kissinger was one of the most destructive secretaries of state in the modern history of this country."
Sanders continued: "I"m proud to say that Henry Kissinger is not my friend. I will not take advice from Henry Kissinger."
"Well, I know journalists have asked who you do listen to on foreign policy and we have yet to know who that is," Clinton responded.
"Well, it ain"t Henry Kissinger, that"s for sure," Sanders shot back.
Kissinger, now 92, served under Presidents Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford.
