Rockwell Collins has delivered its first RTA-4100 MultiScan Weather Radar to KAI for the medevac variant of the Korean Utility Helicopter. This is the first selection of the new RTA-4100 Weather Radar with enhanced surface search modes in the Asia-Pacific region.
Our RTA-4100 MultiScan Weather Radar will provide enhanced safety and mission capability during the highly adverse weather conditions in which the KUH helicopter will be required to operate while performing its critical emergency medical evacuation missions, said Jim Walker, vice president and manager director, Asia Pacific, for Rockwell Collins.
The RTA-4100 MultiScan Weather Radars automatic tilt and gain management reduces crew workload over conventional weather radar systems by automatically reducing ground clutter ensuring comprehensive detection and display of weather related hazards.
In addition, the solid-state RTA-4100 offers the highest reliability of any weather radar in its class with substantially reduced size, weight and power. The RTA-4100 features advanced modes for maritime search operations.
This combined with enhanced shoreline depictions ensures accurate and timely recovery/transport during critical medical emergencies.
Ezrin, the man behind classic rock albums from Pink Floyd, Lou Reed, and Kiss, made the comments that riled West in a post for music analyst Bob Lefsetz"s site Lefsetz Letter. The piece focused on West"s "tasteless grandstanding," accusing the 21-time Grammy Award recipient of being "like that flasher who interrupts a critical game by running n***d across the field," stating that: "unlike other creators in his genre like Jay-Z, Tupac, Biggie or even M.C. Hammer for that matter, its unlikely that well be quoting too many of Kanyes songs 20 years from now."
Kanye appeared particularly galled by Ezrin"s claim that Macklemore was more musically significant than him, directly addressing the quote before adding "no offense to Macklemore, he"s a nice human being!" Although the original site is currently down, the cached version of Ezrin"s letter is available in full here.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. Country singer Sonny James, who recorded romantic ballads like Young Love and turned pop songs into country hits, has died. He was 87.
James, whose given name was James Loden, died Monday in a Nashville hospice facility, according to a family friend, Gary Robble, who was the lead singer of James backing band, the Southern Gentlemen.

The singer born in Hackleburg, Alabama, was known as the Southern Gentleman because of his gentle, respectable demeanor. He was also a songwriter as well as a guitarist and fiddler. He started his music career with his familys band with his parents and his sister, Thelma. Before he reached high school age, he already had performed on several country music radio shows.
As he started his own musical career, Capitol producer Ken Nelson suggested he use a combination of his nickname, Sonny Boy, with his first name as his professional name.
In 1956, James scored his biggest hit, Young Love, which sold 3 million copies and became a No. 1 hit on the country and pop charts. A decade later, he started an impressive run on top of the country charts with 16 consecutive No. 1 songs between 1967 and 1971.
His other hits included Its the Little Things, Youre the Only World I Know, Ill Never Find Another You, Empty Arms, Behind the Tear, Take Good Care of Her, When the Snow Is on the Roses, Thats Why I Love You Like I Do and Here Comes Honey Again.
Sonny James was one of country musics greatest. He was a true gentleman and made some of the greatest country music records of all times, certainly some of my favorites, singer Dolly Parton said in a statement.
Robble said James invited the Southern Gentlemen to record and tour with him, which created a vocal-driven sound based on hit songs from the R&B and pop genre. Some of his popular covers included Since I Met You Baby, Endlessly, Running Bear, Its Just a Matter of Time, Only the Lonely and Only Love Can Break a Heart.
Sonny made country music more commercial, Robble said. He wasnt trying to. He was singing what he enjoyed singing.
James was elected to the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2006.
In the 1960s, he made several motion pictures, including Second Fiddle to a Steel Guitar, Las Vegas Hillbillies (with Jayne Mansfield) and Hillbilly in a Haunted House (with Basil Rathbone and Lon Chaney Jr.). He then went on to produce Marie Osmonds first records, including her biggest country hit, Paper Roses.
Osmond tweeted, Country Music Hall of Famer, producer & lifelong friend (hashtag) SonnyJames. U will be missed! (hastag) RIP. She included a video link to James performing Young Love on the Donny & Marie show in the 1970s.
He was the first co-host of the Country Music Association Awards show with Bobbie Gentry in 1976.
He recorded some pioneering albums: 200 Years of Country Music in 1976 chronicled country music and took more than a year to plan, research and record. Sonny James In Prison, In Person was recorded in 1977 with inmates at the Tennessee State Prison, while The Astrodome Presents the Southern Gentlemen in 1969 was the first live album recorded there. His Little Bit South of Saskatoon, which he wrote, was used as theme music for the movie Slap Shot starring Paul Newman.
He retired in the mid-1980s, because of vocal issues, according to Robble. He is survived by his wife, Doris.
Kanye West "SLAMS" Producer Bob Ezrin In Twitter Rant After He Criticised The Life of Pablo
Bob Ezrin has penned a scathing critique of Kanye West.
The music producer and keyboardist, known for his work with Lou Reed, Alice Cooper, Kiss, Pink Floyd, Peter Gabriel and Phish, writes in a post for Bob Lefsetz"sthe Lefsetz Lettertoday (February 22) that West has made some great material, but that he isnt on the creative level of some other prominent artists.
Unlike other creators in his genre like Jay-Z, Tupac, Biggie or even M.C. Hammer for that matter, its unlikely that well be quoting too many of Kanyes songs 20 years from now,Ezrin writes in the newsletter, which has tens of thousands of subscribers. "He didnt open up new avenues of public discourse like NWA, or introduce the world to a new art form like Grandmaster Flash, or even meaningfully and memorably address social issues through his music like Marshall, Macklemore and Kendrick.
Ezrinwrites that West isnt on the same producing level as Timbaland and Rick Rubin and that his songwritingis sophomoric at best.
Wests most notable achievements arent musical, Ezrin writes.
"Instead Kanyes greatest achievements have been in the form of excessive behavior, egomaniacal tantrums and tasteless grandstanding, Ezrin writes. "What he is a true artist at is living his life out loud and shoving it down the throats of the rest of us whether we give a s**t or not. Hes like that flasher who interrupts a critical game by running n***d across the field. Is that art???
These comments lead intoEzrin examining blasting the rollout of Wests The Life Of Pablo album, which may or may not be complete, despite it being premiered at the "Yeezy Season 3" fashion show earlier this month and being subsequently released as a stream on TIDAL. Ezrin says hes yet to listen to the project and puts a qualifier on his self-proclaimed rant against West.
"I lament for a world where being truly, world-shakingly excellent at anything at least in the field of popular music if not elsewhere is no longer absolutely necessary, Ezrin writes. "You can be a star today just by creating a public life that people pay attention to. Thats it. All you have to do is be interesting or likable or shocking enough and you can have your 15 minutes of fameeven if that means that no one will remember you or what youve done in just a few years. Line em up. How many popular artists have come and gone in just the last decades. In my mind (which is a pretty busy as often too judgmental place, I will admit) real artists make stuff that changes the world and LASTS.
"I havent heard it yet, he adds. "Is that what The Life of Pablo is? If so, then I take it all back."

Teen Mom OG wrapped up its fifth season on Monday, February 22, and they did so in the best way ever: with an insane and completely iconic meltdown from Farrah Abraham. The reality star lost it when MTV producers wouldn"t let her sign a contract to film with a rival show, and we"re bringing you the highlights by which we mean, lowlights. We"re talking screaming, cursing, shoving and the immortal sentence, "You dumb, twisted motherf--ker," so go ahead and file this under #blessed.
It"s Farrah"s world, and the rest of the Teen Moms are just living in it.

Diamonds Are a Girl"s (aka Farrah"s) Best Friend
Farrah is ready to put a ring on it! The lucky-in-love reality star decided to make a "commitment" to her boyfriend, Simon Saran but only after she laid down the law. "I"m not gonna live with someone, I"m not gonna have babies with someone, unless I have a ring, a proposal, a wedding and then move in with them," she mused. Simon"s surprising response? "I agree."
The happy couple ended up looking at engagement rings together, but tragically they were too cheap and tacky for Farrah"s taste. "I"m just shocked at how cheap it is," Farrah said while looking at a $17K rock. "I spend more than that when I go shopping." Same.
Does Gary Shirley Have a Food Addiction?
Amber Portwood and Matt Baier know a thing or two about addiction, and they seemed convinced that Gary Shirley is dependent on food. More specifically, pizza. "How can somebody who is a shade shy of 600 pounds sit and talk about people who have self-control issues and addiction?" Matt said. "When Leah says, "My dad eats a whole pizza by himself," we have addictive issues?"
Amber echoed Matt"s concern, saying, "Yeah, but see, people don"t understand that. That that"s an addiction in itself. But hopefully he"s starting to wake up."
Gary wasn"t sweating his relationship with food probably because he"s in a way more important relationship with his new wife, Kristina. Yep, Gary put a ring on it! "I knew I wanted to marry Kristina, and I knew that she wouldn"t say no," Gary told producers in a truly (un)romantic moment. "She didn"t get no Walmart ring. ... She don"t have secret kids."

Caitlyn Wakes Up to Postpartum Depression
After weeks of feeling down in the dumps, Caitlyn Baltierra finally realized that she might be suffering from postpartum depression. "It got to the point sometimes where it"s like, I don"t want to wake up tomorrow feeling like this," she said.
While Cate"s husband, Tyler Baltierra, tried his best to be sympathetic, he admitted that he often gets frustrated by her attitude. "I"m like, dude, come on this is getting ridiculous," he complained to his mom. "I should feel sympathy, I should feel empathy. ... Something"s wrong with me I should not be like this." Welcome to married life!
Ryan + Maci 4EVA
After years of low-key hating each other, Ryan Edwards and Maci Bookout buried the hatchet for the sake of their son, Bentley. "I just got tired of having to figure out everything through my mom," Ryan said when Maci asked what changed for him. "I guess if I want you to talk to me, I"ve got to interact with you more." Maci"s ridiculously sweet response? "I"m proud of you. I really am."

Amber Takes Home a Major Custody Win
Finally! After months of fighting for custody, Amber offered Gary child support and got increased time with her daughter, Leah. That said, she wasn"t thrilled about sharing updates with MTV.
"I"m not talking about all that right now. What is there to catch up on?" she told her producer before walking out. "There"s nothing else to talk about. Don"t f--king try that s--t with me when you know g*****n well what you"re talking about. That"s the s--t I don"t like right there. Don"t try the director ignorant bulls--t with me. You know I"m not f--king stupid."
At the end of the day, Gary agreed to give Amber more time with Leah, so everyone came out a winner. You know, other than the MTV producer who got yelled at.
Farrah is done! The MTV star flipped out on producers after being told she couldn"t participate in a therapy show with her mother because it conflicted with Teen Mom OG. Farrah refused to let cameras in her house, instead opting to scream at producers on her front lawn.
"I did everything on my end, sweetheart, so you can just take your little a*s, and get on a phone call, and do your job," she fumed. "Up your a*s."
Delightful! But wait, there"s more. "You know what"s so f--king laughable right now?" Farrah asked her producer, Larry. "Larry, I"m laughing. I would love to not laugh in your face. Why are you so white trash? Are you around people all the time who are trash, and you need to keep arguing with me?"
Farrah ended up shoving Larry and calling him a "dumb twisted motherf--ker," before eventually accusing him of profiting off her baby daddy"s death. "Sophia"s dad died, and that"s what got your s--t picked up," she said, sobbing. "You stupid-a*s son of a b***h, get the f--k out of my property."
Looks like Farrah"s done with Teen Mom OG, but hey this isn"t the first time she"s peaced out of the show that made her famous.
Tell Us: Will Farrah actually quit Teen Mom OG, or will she rejoin the cast next season?
