Bill Murray Crashes White House Press Briefing

Bill Murray crashes White House briefing

White House press secretary Josh Earnest was apparently the opening act for Bill Murray on Friday, after the comedian crashed the press room and took to the podium after Earnest concluded his daily briefing.

Wearing a Chicago Cubs sweater, the Illinois native -- who was jokingly addressed as "Mr. President" by a reporter -- was asked if he believed that his beloved Cubs would defeat the Los Angeles Dodgers this weekend and advance to -- and ultimately win -- the World Series for the first time since 1945.

"I feel very confident that [Dodgers" Game 6 starter] Clayton Kershaw is a great, great pitcher but we got too many sticks, we got too many sticks," Murray said. "At home with our crowd, the weather ... we also have a little bit of autumn in Chicago, you don"t get that in Los Angeles. Trees just die in Los Angeles; in Illinois they flourish."

Murray, who is in Washington to accept the Kennedy Center"s Mark Twain Prize for American Humor on Sunday, was at the White House to meet with President Barack Obama.

Following Murray"s visit to the press room, his buddy Bryan Cranston tweeted, "Proof positive. Cubs surrogate @BillMurray inside the White House! The NLCS [National League Championship Series] is rigged! If the #crookedcubs win the series I will not concede."

Oregon Ducks loss to Washington was followed by high emotions, another players meeting

Oregon Ducks Greatest Plays in History ᴴᴰ

Senior offensive guard Cameron Hunt was not the first Oregon Duck quoted this fall questioning teammates" motivations and effort amid a 2-4 start.

But "mine was the one that blew up," Hunt said Tuesday.

After a 70-21 blowout loss to Washington on Oct. 8, Hunt said 30 to 40 percent of the team did not care whether the Ducks won or lost, a comment that was picked up nationally. By virtue of his standing on the roster -- Hunt"s 37 career starts are eight more any other current Duck his words took on greater gravitas.

By the following weekend, UO coach Mark Helfrich was being asked about Hunt"s 30-to-40 percent estimate in an on-camera interview with ESPN"s College GameDay. As he had done multiple times in the week after Hunt"s comment, Helfrich denied such locker-room division, blaming Hunt"s quote on high emotionsfollowing an embarrassing loss to a rival, not reality.

"I think there was a little bit of emotion," Hunt said Wednesday. "What I was meaning to say was some guys on the team aren"t giving that full effort in that game and we need everyone to be invested and we need all effort to be successful."

Helfrich later spoke privately with Hunt about the matter.

It wasn"t the only discussion happening behind closed doors last week during Oregon"s bye.

Several players told ESPN.com that Oregon held yet another players-only meeting to clear the air during the bye. Therealso wasa players-only meeting after a loss to Colorado in late September, its second loss in UO"s current four-game losing streak, a meeting in which the message was said to be aimed at younger players to "grow up" and lose their entitlement.

Hunt confirmed the latest players-only meeting Tuesday and said it involved both offensive and defensive players but didn"t want to comment on what was said.

"That"s stuff that stays in house," he said. "We"re just trying to figure out some stuff."

For an Oregon team in last place in the Pac-12"s North Division, there is plenty of stuff needing to be figured out entering Friday night"s matchup with Cal in Berkeley"s Memorial Stadium.

Oregon"s defense is allowing 41.8 points per game, while the offense is hoping the combination of its Pac-12 leading running game and true freshman quarterback Justin Herbert can hold itsown against the kind of explosive production expected by cannon-armed Cal graduate transfer QB Davis Webb, who is third in the country in yards per game and passing touchdowns.

"We had several meetings last week and again, guys are on the same page, they have worked," Helfrich said."It was very spirited yesterday, kind of challenged the defense yesterday, they kind of bounced back (Tuesday)."

For as much as Hunt may now regret making his feelings known publicly "I"ve seen some positive feedback, and also seen the negative side of the media" he believes a good result could come from them yet if they can serve as a spark to the second half of this season.

"I think some position groups really took that to heart that maybe we need to approach this differently or be in "attack" mentality," Hunt said. "I think anytime you lose a game by that measure it kind of opens some eyes and really lets people know we have to change something. I think that sparked some intensity at practice this week and hopefully that can give us some momentum going into the weekend.

"Being able to win four of our next six games to get bowl-eligible is the goal and we"ve just go to follow coach Helfrich"s lead. I feel like a lot of our guys will do anything for coach Helfrich, so we"ll continue to try to win games."

Black Mirror recap: Season 3, Episode 3 | EW.com

Black Mirror trailer

In this episode, Black Mirror tackles the consequences of getting hacked, although it wouldnt be Black Mirror if those consequences werent the most extreme ones imaginable.

Shut Up and Dance opens with a short scene: A woman parks a car in a garage, nervously sends a text, and walks away. But shell be back before the end.

Next, we meet Kenny (Alex Lawther), who has a virus on his computer. He downloads a program from the Internet to get rid of it, but doesnt seem to consider the consequences of trusting some random program. Minutes after masturbating to Internet p**n, he gets an alarming email saying WE SAW WHAT YOU DID with a video attached. He gets a second email demanding his phone number or else the video will be leaked. He complies and receives a series of rapid texts ordering him to keep his location services on and telling him, WHEN TIME COMES YOU WILL BE ACTIVATED.

The next day, the hacker(s) order him to go to a location at a certain time. Another victim, a man on a motorcycle, delivers a box to him and documents it with a photo. When Kenny questions him, he says that once he does what they tell him, hes off the hook. How can this man know for sure if hes still a p**n in the game?

Now Kenny must deliver the box to a hotel room. He opens it to find a seemingly innocuous cake that reads I Love You. The man in the room, Hector (Game of Thrones Jerome Flynn), doesnt know who sent it, but then gets a series of texts and runs into the bathroom. His communication with the hackers has begun. Kenny asks the hackers if he can go. Theres a close-up of the three dots of the typing indicator as he waits anxiously for the response. TAKE HIS PHOTO, reads the new text.

Hector and Kenny must head to a new location with the cake. They go to an assigned car, the same one we saw the woman leave at the beginning of the episode. Hector reveals what the hackers have on him: Hes a married man who was at the hotel to meet a prostitute he found online. This fake escort website is how the hackers found him, and they have the n**e pictures he sent. When they arrive, they are instructed to rob a bank with a gun that is hidden in the cake.

Kenny successfully robs the bank, and the two are instructed to split up: Hector must destroy the car and Kenny must bring the money into the woods. There, he meets another victim. What they got you for? he asks Kenny. I just looked at some photos, he replies. Yeah, I just looked at pictures, too. How young were they, in the pictures? says his companion, revealing that hes being blackmailed for child p*********y. For an answer, Kenny just shakes his head.

NEXT: Kenny receives his next task
