See Billy Gilman"s Stunning Celine Dion Cover on "The Voice"

The Voice 2016 Billy Gilman and Adam Levine - Finale: "Bye Bye Love"

Though the Judds" "Love Can Build a Bridge," Loggins and Messina"s "Danny"s Song" and Cline Dion"s "I Surrender" seemingly have little in common, The Voice"s country contestants Billy Gilman, Sundance Head, and Josh Gallagher managed to tie them all together. With only eight contestants remaining in Season 11 of the NBC series, competition is heating up between the country performers, with each having a standout moment on the December 5th semifinals episode.

Perhaps the most remarkable of the three was Billy Gilman, who sang a poignant version of Cline Dion"s "I Surrender." "We know you"re gonna sing the c**p out of it, but do it in a way that people can be let in," Coach Adam advised before his performance. And heed his coach"s advice Gilman did getting emotionally lost in the song with his effortlessly drawn-out, soaring notes. The row of coaches was equally dazzled: "We all know what he can do. . . but there was a moment amongst the coaches which I"ve never seen before which was basically a look of shock and amazement and your ability to sing," said Coach Adam, before adding, "he"s one of the most humble and hard-working guys I know, vote for him right now."

Directly before Gilman"s knockout performance, Sundance Head tackled the Judds" imposing "Love Can Build a Bridge." With wailing guitar strings and an almost jazzy piano backing him up, Head showed just how captivating the sheer power of his gritty voice can be. "What can you say about Sundance anymore?" said Shelton. "It just blows my mind. Every week you come out here and you blow people away. You"re not like anyone else in the world."

Meanwhile, Josh Gallagher"s impassioned take on Loggins and Messina"s "Danny"s Song" was infused with hints of bluegrass and classic rock, the catchy chorus delivered in his distinctive twang. Gallagher also paired up with Head to sing Joe Cocker"s "Feelin" Alright." Watch his performance of "Danny"s Song" below.

The Voice airs again tonight at 8 p.m. ET on NBC with a performance by Blake Shelton and the announcement of the four finalists.

Trump picks Rick Perry for Energy Department

Rick Perry: Trump"s reported pick for Energy secretary

WASHINGTON (AP) Former Texas Gov. Rick Perry, who famously forgot the Energy Department was one of the agencies he pledged to eliminate, is President-elect Donald Trumps choice to become energy secretary, two people with knowledge of the decision say.

perry is likely to shift the department away from renewable energy and toward oil and other fossil fuels that he championed as Texas governor.

Perry, 66, left office in January 2015 after a record 14 years as governor and then launched his second ill-fated bid for the Republican presidential nomination.

He was a harsh critic of Trump, even calling the billionaire businessman a cancer to conservatism, but Perry lasted only three months in the race for the 2016 nomination before dropping out.

Perry later endorsed the Republican nominee and said he"d be willing to work in a Trump administration.

Perry chosen to run a department he once forgot he wanted to eliminate

In his first presidential run, Perry flamed out after a series of missteps.

The best-remembered one came during a presidential debate in 2011 when he couldnt remember, despite repeated attempts, the third of three federal agencies he had promised to eliminate if elected. He finally muttered Oops.

The one he forgot was, ironically, the Energy Department. The two others were Commerce and Education.

Perry has drawn criticism from some environmental activists because he is on the board of Texas-based Energy Transfer Partners, the company trying to build a 1,200-mile Dakota Access pipeline that would carry crude oil from North Dakota to Illinois. The pipeline has sparked protests that have made national headlines.

Perry also serves on the board of another energy firm, Sunoco Logistics Partners.

He has been a vocal skeptic on climate change since before his first run for the White House. During his governorship, though, Texas became a major producer of wind powered-energy.

Perry for years used economic incentive funds controlled by his office to offer tens of billions of dollars to wind producers and other companies promoting alternative energy.

This year, Perry joined the board of a stem cell company where he underwent experimental back surgery before running for president in 2011.

Perry had previously blamed chronic back pain for his oops moment and other gaffes that sunk his once-promising campaign, hinting that the procedure carried out by the Houston-based biotechnology company Celltex Therapeutics didnt help him overcome it.

But the former governor told The Associated Press this fall, after joining the company board, that his health was good and he was a big believer in adult stem cell therapy.

Perry recently demonstrated his fitness with a brief appearance on this seasons Dancing with the Stars. He was the second contestant eliminated.

"Flip or Flop" stars separate just months after police were called to their home

"Flip or Flop" Tarek and Christina El Moussa"s split

Tarek and Christina El Moussa, the popular stars of HGTVs Flip or Flop, have separated after seven years of marriage, the couple announced in a statement Monday.

The split comes six months after police were called to their home in an incident the two said was an unfortunate misunderstanding, The Orange County Register reports.

Like many couples, we have had challenges in our marriage, the two said in their statement. We had an unfortunate misunderstanding about six months ago and the police were called to our house in an abundance of caution. There was no violence and no charges were filed.

TMZ casts the incident as more than a mere misunderstanding. The website reports that in May, sheriffs deputies were called to the couples Orange County home to respond to a possibly suicidal male with a gun.

Tarek allegedly grabbed a gun from a safe and fled down a hiking trail in back of the house, TMZ reported. Witnesses reportedly saw Christina run from the house, crying.

Deputies in a helicopter spotted Tarek on the trail and ordered him to drop his weapon; he complied. He later told them he had no intention of hurting himself but wanted to blow off some steam and had the gun to protect himself from wildlife, TMZ reported.

Deputies reportedly seized five guns from the home.

The incident prompted the couple to seek counseling, but they decided to separate as they evaluate the future of our marriage, their statement said.

During the process, we are committed to our kids and being the best parents we can be. We will continue to work through this process civilly and cooperatively, and plan to continue our professional life together.

HGTV has not commented on the shows future.

According to People, the couple married in 2009 and have two children: Brayden, 1, and Taylor, 6.

Dell drops prices on "Green Monday" laptops

What is Green Monday? - DON"T MISS THIS AMAZING DEAL DAY

While Best Buy, HP and others are offering some surprisingly steep "green monday" discounts (what, you"ve never heard of "Green Monday"?), the deals being offered by Dell are not especially exciting, and most hover between 8 and 15 percent off regular prices. That said, a couple of these caught my eye.

Alienware 13 R3 (OLED): $1,849My favorite gaming laptop of the year, because it"s small, supports VR and has a brilliant OLED screen. It"s $250 less than when we reviewed it recently, making it a great deal to cure your OLED envy (but make sure you select the OLED option from the configuration page linked above). Read our review here, and note that this was one of my favorite laptops of 2016.

The inexpensive Inspiron 7000.

Dell Inspiron 15 7000: $799A small discount on one of the most cost-efficient gaming laptops you can buy. This no-frills 15-incher has a Nvidia GeForce 960M GPU, which is fine for any current game at HD resolution and medium settings. It"s $100 off right now. Read our review here.

Dell Inspiron 11 3000: $350 This low-end hybrid isn"t going to wow anyone, but it"s an excellent price for a laptop-tablet combo with a touch screen, has a decent Intel Core m3 processor, and makes for a reasonable alternative to Chromebooks that cost just as much.

Check out the rest of Dell"s "Green Monday" deals here.
