"I was driving to my studio at Creative Nation one morning when I first heard Muscadine Bloodline on my Spotify Discover Weekly playlist," Laird recalls. Mark Hunt on Brock Lesnar"s suspension from NAC: "It"s not harsh enough"
Brock Lesnar returns as fight with Goldberg looms ahead: Raw, Oct. 24, 2016
Mark Hunt isn"t too impressed with the punishment the Nevada Athletic Commission gave Brock Lesnar.
On Thursday, the NAC officially suspended Lesnar for one year and fined him $250,000 for failing a drug test before his UFC 200 fight against Hunt and one afterwards, as well.
"It"s not harsh enough considering he gets the same [punishment] as Jon Jones and Jones didn"t fight," Hunt said. "Would that penalty have sufficed if I had died or been maimed?"
Lesnar first tested positive for the anti-estrogenic agent Hydroxy-clomiphene in an out-of-competition United States Anti-Doping Agency drug test on June 28, and then another in-competition test the day of the event on July 9.
Jones, who was pulled from the card just three days before, was also given a one-year suspension by the NAC but was not fined. He tested positive for two banned substances, Hydroxy-clomiphene, as well the Letrozole metabolite, an aromatase inhibitor, prior to UFC 200.
Hunt, whose loss to Lesnar has now been turned into a no-contest, retained a lawyer in August. He wants clauses put in his contract that will protect him in the event a future opponent tests positive for any banned substances, however, the UFC, according to Hunt, isn"t keen on implementing his demands.
"I want compensation for whats happened and I want a change," Hunt said last month on The MMA Hour. "Either that or release me from my contract.
"Like I said, if youre not going to make it an even playing field or a fair go, youre not going to put a clause in my contract that says that makes me a feel a bit more better, well then why should IIm already in a contract I cant get out of."
So now that Lesnar has finally received his punishment, Hunt says he"ll let his lawyer handle the UFC. He"s hopeful they"ll meet his demands but is willing to continue to sit out if not.
Hunt says he"s already missed out on three fight offers since his July fight against Lesnar.
"I am still waiting on UFC," he said. "Will they allow my clause or [will] we get into a lawsuit so the whole world can watch?"

Is Netflix"s "The OA" This Year"s "Making a Murderer"?
The OA | Clip: "The Scientist" | Netflix
Netflix dropped a mysterious new series today, The OA, and you can binge it all now. If this is the first youre hearing of it, youre not alone. The trailer seeped onto the internet just a few days ago to pique interest, but whats even more interesting, is that this could be the streaming platforms end of year breakout show.
Perhaps you remember this time last year you were glued to your screen, piecing together the details, and wondering if Steven Avery and Brendan Dassey were really innocent or guilty. Making a Murderer took over your holiday time off and the internet as a whole, as viewers clamored to share their theories and discuss details of the case with friends and strangers. Like the Serial podcast before it, no one saw the phenomenon coming, but it was all-consuming for sure.
With The OAs arrival today, we couldnt help but wonder if this series just might be 2016s Making a Murder a surprise binge-watch that viewers cant stop talking about. Now, the two are certainly very different. Making a Murderer is a true crime documentary series following very real events. The OA is a fiction drama series starring Brit Marling as a blind woman who was missing for 7 years, only to return to her town with full vision. But here are three theories about why this show in particular could follow in very similar footsteps as last years must-watch binge-watch.
The Mystery
The fact that we didnt have a countdown for The OA, or really any information at all until earlier this week, made a lot of us scratch our heads. What IS this new series? It seemingly came out of nowhere. One of the most appealing parts about Making a Murderer was that viewers felt they stumbled upon something they were never expecting to see. We all love discovering new things! There was no build-up, no expectations, and therefore, no pressure on the series. Viewers got to feel delightfully surprised by how invested they became on something they only recently knew existed. The lack of roll-out could help The OA find an audience willing to take a risk on something new and intriguing.
The Timing
Tis the season to get your binge on. As we drag ourselves through the last days of 2016, many people have taken time off to be with family, or in other words, watch something by themselves on their computer. Hey, maybe you actually do your binge-watching as a family gathered on the couch thats great too! The OA seems to have something for everyone, so this might be the perfect show for a group to partake in. But theres no doubt that releasing your show, a full series at once around the holidays, ensures that people will have time to actually get their eyeballs on it and stay on it. If you dont have to get up for work in the morning, who will possibly stop you from pressing pause after the clock passes midnight? Stay up as late as you need to, in order to get the answers. The Questions, Theories, and Thoughts
Ah yes, the answers. Even with what little information we have about The OA, its certainly a show, not unlike Netflixs other breakout hit this year, Stranger Things, that will raise questions, theories, and thoughts throughout its storytelling. Even if you dont watch all 8 episodes at one time, youll want to discuss what youve seen with other people either those next to you on the couch, or those easily available in your social media timelines. Sometimes the best thing about a show is how much we want to talk about it. while vulture is loving the oa and Uproxx is not, viewers will decide for themselves how deep they want to dive to figure out this shows secrets.
The OA is poised to be yet another hit for Netflix in 2016, as well as the talk of your holiday gathering. Get on it now to see what the lack of fuss is all about.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio: 5-year investigation proves Obama birth certificate is fake
GUILTY!! Obama"s Birth Certificate Is Forged
Sheriff Joe Arpaio says a new video analysis shows that parts of Obama"s birth certificate were copied from another certificate. Arpaio says he will turn this new evidence over to the feds. David Wallace/azcentral.com
President Barack Obama produced the birth certificate document in 2011 to quell the "birther" controversy.

It was a presentation hyped by a tantalizinglybrief media notification more than 24 hours earlier: On Thursday afternoon, it said, Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio would present the newest revelations in an investigation into President Barack Obamas birth certificate.
At 4 p.m. sharp, Arpaio and a member of his Sheriff"s Office"s Cold Case Possehad a message for the 40-odd journalists in attendance: You were wrong.
Arpaio and his aides announced that a five-year probe had proved that Obamas birth certificate from Hawaii in 1961was, in fact, a forgery.
The news conference opened with a spokesman criticizing members of the media for critical coverage of the investigation. He then turned the stage over to Arpaio, who said he hoped to enlighten the public with information on this fake, fake birth certificate.
Arpaio insisted that the investigation was not linked to his legal conflicts with the Obama administration; it was about the allegation of a forged document.
Think of it. We were trying to clear the president, he said, adding,It didnt work out that way.
Arpaio said he planned on turning over the information to the federal government this month.
The bulk of the hourlong news conference belonged to Mike Zullo, a posse member, who launched into a 50-minute presentationon the documents 9 points of forgery.

Last SlideNext SlideIn exacting detail, Zullo explained how a careful analysis of the documents typed letters and words, as well as the angles of the date stamps, proved the forgery.
According to the theory, the birth certificate presented to the public was created after copying and pasting information from the legitimate birth certificate of a woman born in Hawaii. An accompanying video simulated how the text would have been moved.
Zullo repeatedly stressed that the theory was supported by two experts on two separate continents. He said the investigators analyzed nine Hawaii birth certificates, and that one of them, belonging to a woman named Johanna AhNee, was the source of the copied text.
Zullos presentation did not clarify how the investigation led to AhNee or how they came into possession of her birth certificate.
Zullo and Arpaio declined to take questions after the press conference.
Reached by The Arizona Republic shortly afterward, Zullo said he obtained AhNees birth certificate from a man named Jerome Corsi, who had authored a book on the matter.
Zullo said he was unclear what led Corsi to AhNee in the first place.
I have to be honest with you, thats a really good question, he said. Because either thats an unbelievable coincidence, or theres something else going on.
The event drew an audience of mostly oldersupporters, many of whom would cheer or nod their heads at various points.
About half were members of the Surprise Tea Party, said Kimberly Christensen, an attendee who is herself a member. The Surprise Tea Party is credited for bringing the issue to Arpaios attention years ago.

Christensen said she was satisfied with the amount of information that was presented Thursday. She said others have asked why she hadnt dropped the issue long ago.
It saddens my heart to talk to other American citizens saying, Who cares? she said.
Arpaio, Trump oncealigned on "birther" issueArpaio"s focus onthe outgoing president has spanned several years. Obama was a favorite subject in Arpaio"s fundraiser emails, speeches and campaign ads, and the president was blamed for the lawman"s civil-rights-related legal battles.
RELATED:How Arizona became ground zero for "birthers"
Arpaio"s persistence on the "birther" issuehas outlived that of many other once-fervent supporters.
President-elect Donald Trump had been a leader of the movementtoprove Obama was not a natural-born citizen and was therefore not eligible for the nation"s highest office. After years of persistent questioning seen by many as racially motivated the president produced his long-form birth certificate in April 2011.
In September, Trump, then the Republican presidential nominee, announced he was dropping the issue.
Obama responded in a speech to the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation: I dont know about you guys, but I am so relieved that the whole birther thing is over. I mean, ISIL, North Korea, poverty, climate change none of those things weighed on my mind like the validity of my birth certificate.
Probe launched by posse membersThe Sheriff"s Office"s own "birther" investigation dates to August 2011, months after the White House website posted an image of Obama"s birth certificate. The probe was led by the Sheriff"s Office"s Cold Case Posse, a non-profit arm of the office made up of often-retired volunteers.
Thursday"s news conference recalled two other "birther" news conferencesfrom 2012.
At those events, no one explicitly claimed the birth certificate was a fake. They were instead fueled byinnuendo, the suspicions of volunteers, and a throng of impassioned tea-party supporters.
In March 2012, Zullo spent 50 minutes walking the media through what he said were irregularities in the White House"s posted document.
Zullo had a repeat performance in July of that year, when he explained the investigators" findings after a 10-day trip to Hawaii. At that event, Zullo said investigators located a 95-year-old woman who might have written coding on the copy of Obama"s birth certificate. That woman, Zullo said, later told a fake reporter that the numbers on Obama"s birth certificate were inconsistent with the time and place of his birth.
Zulllo has surfaced in more recent Arpaio controversies as well. He was one of the key figures in what"s known as the "Seattle Operation" a pet project of Arpaio"s that became a focal point during the sheriff"s contempt-of-court hearings last year.
Zullos task was to keep an eye on a computer programmer named Dennis Montgomery, who had told Arpaio he could prove the federal government had hacked into the bank accounts of thousands of Maricopa County residents.
Montgomerys work soon seemed to stray from that mission, however. In reports provided to the Sheriffs Office, Montgomery presents a web of conspiracies involving a federal judge presiding over a racial-profiling case against Arpaio, along with Eric Holder and various other federal officials. Arpaios critics said the operation was a thinly veiled attempt to undermine a judge who had ruled unfavorably against the sheriff.
