Ellen Pompeo has fired back at critics who blasted her use of black emojis in a Twitter message.

The "Grey"s Anatomy" actress posted a tweet on Friday which applauded TV network A&E"s decision to change the name of their controversial upcoming Ku Klux Klan documentary from "Generation KKK" to "Escaping the KKK: A Documentary Series Exposing Hate in America."

But Pompeo found herself facing backlash, after one social media user called her out for overstepping her bounds as "a privileged white woman" for including emojis of a black hand giving a thumbs up and a pair of black hands clapping in her post.

In turn, Pompeo apologized to anyone she may have offended and fired back a series of tweets, responding to various Twitter users.

"What"s crazy is how angry everyone is... this is all about emojis people. It was a really positive thing a&e did... now that"s not the focus ..my fault for responding," she wrote. "But sad to see racism is still alive and well on all sides."

When a user told her that white people cannot experience racism, she responded, "Ummm I"ve been called a white b**** and countless other things 50000 times today what would you call it?"

After another user wrote to her, "SHUT UP, WHITE LADY," to which the 47-year-old reminded her 1.23 million followers that her producer husband Chris Ivery is black, and that the pair are parents to two daughters.

"You do realize...being married to a black man and having black children can make you a target from racist white people right? That"s a thing," she added.

The star concluded her Twitter response by reminding her followers that racism comes in "different forms" and added that she plans to continue using her platform to promote discussion around race and diversity.

Since Pompeo originally tweeted, A&E have canceled the program after the network learned that the shows producers, from a third-party production company, made cash payments to facilitate access to participants.

its super flattering, and cool, eminem said. And I feel like its going to be a pretty big record.

JonBent Ramsey"s brother files $750million lawsuit against CBS

Things That Never Made Sense About the JonBenet Ramsey Case

A team of expertsre-examined evidence in the 20-year-old case in a two-part CBS documentary The Case Of: JonBenet Ramsey, and stated it had come to the conclusion JonBenet"s brother killed her over a bowl of fruit.

The team presented their conclusions in the final minutes of the program, saying the evidence points to Burke Ramsey, who was nine at the time.

However, they do not believe that it was a case of murder and said it could have been accidental.

They also revealed that Burke had struck his little sister with a golf club after "losing his temper" and left her with a scar on her face a year before her death.

The investigators presented their hypothesis that JonBenet (pictured in a reconstruction) came downstairs late at night because she was hungry

James Kolar, the former chief investigation for the District Attorney in Boulder, presented the theory that all the other experts agreed with.

He posited that Patsy had left Burke with a bowl of pineapple and some tea and that when JonBenet had attempted to sneak some of the fruit later, it prompted Burke to lash out and strike her with a flashlight, killing her.

"My hypothesis was that I think the Ramseys came home at around 9.30, 10 o"clock," Kolar said on the CBS program.

"I think JonBenet was asleep. I think John did carry her upstairs, Patsy remained downstairs with Burke and served him the tea and the pineapple.

"I think that accounts for the physical evidence as well as the latent print. Then she got JonBenet up to make sure she used the toilet, so she didn"t wet the bed that night."

He added: "JonBenet was up, she may or may not have brushed her teeth, that stuff was out on the counter, then I think she was up and awake enough that she was maybe still hungry and she went downstairs.

They believe Burke could have been angered that she tried a grab some of his pineapple

"He probably would have been upset about her trying to snag a piece of pineapple - out of anger he may have struck her with that flashlight," said James Kolar, the former chief investigation for the District Attorney in Boulder

"In the meantime, Patsy continued packing for the Michigan trip. I think if Burke was upset about circumstances or Christmas presents, he probably would have been upset about her trying to snag a piece of pineapple - out of anger he may have struck her with that flashlight.

While the investigators agreed there was no intent to kill, they agree there was clearly an intent to mislead the police investigation.

"The Ramsey family did not want law enforcement to resolve this case and that"s why it remains unresolved," said former FBI profiler Jim Clemente.

He and the other investigators say the lack of the Ramseys getting involved with the case was "atypical" as most families in such situations are desperate to resolve the case.

"We didn"t see that here," said retired supervisory FBI agent James Fitzgerald. "But maybe we did. Maybe we saw it with her brother - do everything we can to protect this child.

"We see it with the letter. We see it in the press conference. Every step along the way we see it."

A replica of rooms in the house had been constructed in a 50,000-square-foot warehouse for the CBS special

Experts have also recreated the Boulder home of the Ramsey family to conduct their investigations. Here they look at a recreation of the smashed basement window

However, the investigators said they don"t believe Burke was involved in the cover-up, but say the mixed motives in the ransom letter indicate that both parents were.

They also concluded that DNA evidence found on jonbenet"s panties which did not match anyone in her family had no forensic value and that no sexual assault ever took place.

The DNA evidence had been used to rule out the Ramseys as involved in the case, but experts showed how DNA could have been transferred during the manufacturing and packaging process.

In the first part of the documentary, the investigators revealed six extra seconds of audio from a 911 call that appeared to suggest her family were involved.

Using modern technology, they said they uncovered the voices of three people having a conversation after Mrs Ramsey thought she had hung up after calling police 20 years ago.

Three phrases can allegedly be heard during the extra six seconds of 911 audio, which are believed to have come from JonBenet"s parents John and Patsy and her older brother Burke.

Investigators believe they can hear Mr Ramsey"s voice saying "we"re not speaking to you", before Mrs Ramsey allegedly asks: "What did you do? Help me, Jesus".

They claim JonBenet"s brother Burke can then be heard asking "what did you find?" - even though his parents have always claimed he was asleep at the time.

Trey Songz Arrested at Detroit Show for Property Destruction

Trey Songz Arrested After Destroying Concert Stage In Detroit - VIDEO

Police arrested r&b singer trey songzwednesday night after he refused to leave the stage at Joe Louis Arena, The Detroit Newsreports. According to Officer Dan Donakowski, a spokesman for the Detroit Police Department, Songz (Real name: Tremaine Neverson) was taken into custody for malicious destruction of property and resisting and obstructing arrest.

Neverson was performing in Detroit along with Desiigner, Young M.A, Lil Yachty and others as part of the fourth annualBig Show at the Joe, a multi-artist concert put on by FM 98 WJLB and Channel 955. Around 11:30 p.m., organizers informed the singer that his time onstage was up, and Officer Donakowski said that Neverson responded by throwing objects and attempting to break equipment in an "upset and belligerent" manner.

When police officers on duty at the event came onstage, the singer reportedly continued throwing objects, and one of these hit a police sergeant. He was subsequently arrested and remained at the Detroit Detention Center as of Thursday morning.

A representative for the singer did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

In amateur video taken at the event, Neverson appears to throw equipment onstage and take down two plastic structures.

Though Songz has not released any albums or mixtapes this year, he can still be heard assisting other artists: he"s the featured singer on Kevin Hart"s single "Push It On Me," which has spent nine weeks on Billboard"s Hip-Hop/R&B Airplay chart. He also appeared earlier this year on Kevin Gates" "Jam."
