Everybody"s Favorite Hot Chick Ruby Rose Took to Instagram and May Have Revealed More Deets From "Resident Evil 6"

RESIDENT EVIL: THE FINAL CHAPTER - International Trailer #2 (HD)

Ruby Rose, one of the hottest celebrities right now (both literally and figuratively), has revealed via Twitter some news about her role in [Resident Evil 6: The Final Chapter](tag:671270). She used a hashtag - and we know hashtags are important - that may or may not be hinting at something amazing.

Check out the Instagram post below, which may be revealing something about the film!

Just speculation here, but the #RedQueen hashtag is worth mentioning and considering. She might transform from her character "Abigail" into the #RedQueen and there is already precedent for something like this happening. Rose was an android on the TV show Dark Matter.

There"s a chance she becomes the Red Queen, but there"s also a possibility for the friendlier White Queen. Paul W.S. Anderson is known to kind of do whatever he wants when it comes to following the video game series (or not) so it could go either way.

Regardless, Ruby Rose is the sh*t. Also, I wouldn"t mind shooting in Cape Town... sounds amazing!

Check out the what the Milla Jovovich-led project will be like in the synopsis below:

Picking up immediately after the events in Resident Evil: Retribution, humanity is on its last legs after Alice is betrayed by Wesker in Washington D.C. As the only survivor of what was meant to be humanitys final stand against the undead hordes, Alice must return to where the nightmare began Raccoon City, where the Umbrella corporation is gathering its forces for a final strike against the only remaining survivors of the apocalypse. In a race against time Alice will join forces with old friends, and an unlikely ally, in an action packed battle with undead hordes and new mutant monsters. Between losing her superhuman abilities and Umbrellas impending attack, this will be Alices most difficult adventure as she fights to save humanity, which is on the brink of oblivion.

[Resident Evil 6: The Final Chapter](tag:671270) will hit theaters on January 27, 2017.

While Abigal will probably be badass, don"t forget about Alice - probably one of my favorite female action leads of all time!

Bulls" Rajon Rondo: To remain backup point guard Tuesday

Would Rajon Rondo make sense in Cleveland? - Kristine and Colin discuss | THE HERD

Rondo is expected to remain the team"s backup point guard for Tuesday"s game against the Magic, Nick Friedell of ESPN.com reports.

The Bulls are expected to start Jerian Grant at point guard, while benching Michael Carter-Williams in the corresponding move. Despite moving Carter-Williams to the bench, coach Fred Hoiberg will continue to give the backup minutes to rondo, which could mean Carter-Williams falls out of the rotation completely. It sounds like the point guard depth chart could be subject to change moving forward, but for now, look for Rondo to stick in his backup role, likely pushing for minutes in the mid-to-low 20"s.

Steve Bannon: Media should "keep its mouth shut"

Steve Bannon Lays Out His AMAZING Political Philosophy

"The media should be embarrassed and humiliated and keep its mouth shut and just listen for awhile," Steve Bannon said during a rare interview with The New York Times on Wednesday.

"I want you to quote this," Bannon told the Times. "The media here is the opposition party. They don"t understand this country. They still do not understand why Donald Trump is the president of the United States."

the remarks from bannon, a right-wing populist and former executive at the aggressively anti-mainstream media website Breitbart, come as tensions between Trump"s White House and the media are running high.

Many members of the media believe the Trump White House is untruthful and disingenuous, pointing to its baseless claims about the size of his inauguration crowd and millions of illegal votes in the 2016 election.

Meanwhile, members of Trump"s White House charge the media with being unfair to the new president, citing one inaccurate report -- falsely stating that Trump had removed Martin Luther King"s bust from the Oval Office -- as evidence of unfair treatment.

"They said, "Martin Luther King"s bust was taken out of the Oval Office", by me," Trump said in an interview with Sean Hannity that will air Thursday night. "That"s a very serious charge. They"re not saying the bust is taken out, what they"re saying is I"m a racist... Then, when it was revealed that they were wrong, nobody even talks about it."

The Trump White House also appears to resent the media for what it sees as biased coverage of the 2016 presidential campaign, and for its failure to anticipate his victory.

In his interview with the Times, Bannon said "the elite media got it dead wrong, 100 percent dead wrong," calling it "a humiliating defeat that they will never wash away, that will always be there."

"The mainstream media has not fired or terminated anyone associated with following our campaign," Bannon told the Times. "Look at the Twitter feeds of those people: they were outright activists of the Clinton campaign."

"That"s why you have no power," Bannon said. "You were humiliated."

Doomsday Clock ticks 30 seconds closer to midnight, thanks to Trump

"Doomsday Clock" moves 30 seconds closer to midnight

Citing a rise in global nationalism and humanitys failure to confront nuclear weapons and climate change, scientists today pushed the infamous Doomsday Clock 30 seconds closer to midnightthe symbolic moment humankind is supposed to annihilate itself. That pushes the planet from 3 minutes to destruction to a mere 2.5. Since the clock was launched in 1947, this is the closest weve come to the brink since 1953, when the Science and Security Board of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists (BAS) moved the hand 2 minutes to midnight following the first testing of a hydrogen bomb.

One of the biggest reasons for the move, wrote BAS scientists in an op-ed inThe New York Times, was the ascent of U.S. President Donald Trump: Never before has the Bulletin decided to advance the clock largely because of the statements of a single person, they wrote. But Mr. Trumps statements and actions have been unsettling.

Those include comments about the use of nuclear weapons during his campaign as well as during his transition to the White House. In a tweet in December 2016, Trump wrote, The United States must greatly strengthen and expand its nuclear capability until such time as the world comes to its senses regarding nukes. Politico reported he has since given mixed responses regarding the notion, saying there is not going to be an arms race but also noting he wont take anything off the table.

The world is a more dangerous place, said Lawrence Krauss of Arizona State University in Tempe, who is a theoretical physicist and chair of the BAS Board of Sponsors, adding that BASs Science and Security Board wanted to send a [cautionary] message 6 days into an administration that the group says shows a growing disregard for scientific expertise.

A panel of three BAS scientists and a former U.S. ambassador made the announcement, speaking not only of the new U.S. administration, but also about actions to develop nuclear weapons around the globe, including places like North Korea, India, Pakistan, China, and Russia. It is not time to build up. It is time to continue to build down, former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Thomas Pickering said when asked about U.S. and Russian nuclear capabilities, which now account for 90% of the worlds nuclear arms.

Panelists also expressed concern over the rise of fake news and general distrust of fact, both of which influenced the incremental move. The Bulletin felt it was important to say words do matter. This half-minute move was something we felt very strong and comfortable with because it represented a new set of figures we hadnt confronted before, Rachel Bronson, BAS executive director and publisher in Chicago, Illinois, said.

The threat of climate change and mixed efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions were also taken into account. Though advances were made with the Paris climate agreement, the panel said, it is too early to say whether they will bear out.

The apocalyptic clock was created by former Manhattan Project scientists in an effort to bring public attention to the threat of nuclear war. Hovering anywhere between 17 and 2 minutes to midnight since its formation, the minute hand of the clock advances forward to symbolize humanitys looming demise.

Heres a breakdown of every change for the last 60 years:

  • 1947: 7 minutes to midnightFirst effort to convey weight of nuclear dangers to public using the Doomsday Clock
  • 1949: 3 minutes to midnightStart of the nuclear arms race
  • 1953: 2 minutes to midnightThe United States and the Soviet Union test thermonuclear devices for the first time.
  • 1960: 7 minutes to midnightSteps made to avoid direct nuclear confrontation in regional conflict
  • 1963: 12 minutes to midnightThe United State and the Soviet Union sign the Partial Test Ban Treaty, ending all atmospheric nuclear testing.
  • 1968: 7 minutes to midnightRegional wars amplify, including U.S. involvement in Vietnam and tensions between India and Pakistan
  • 1969: 10 minutes to midnightNations sign nuclear nonproliferation treaty
  • 1972: 12 minutes to midnightThe United States and the Soviet Union sign the Strategic Arms Limitation treaty and Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty, slowing nuclear arms race.
  • 1974: 9 minutes to midnightIndia tests its first nuclear device; the United States and the Soviet Union seem to modernize weapons, rather than reduce stock.
  • 1980: 7 minutes to midnightGeneral stagnation in efforts to diminish nuclear weapons
  • 1981: 4 minutes to midnightThe Soviet Union invades Afghanistan; former U.S. President Ronald Reagan scraps any talk of arms control in Cold War.
  • 1984: 3 minutes to midnightU.S. and Soviet communication goes silent; the United States mulls space-based missile capacity.
  • 1988: 6 minutes to midnightThe United States and the Soviet Union sign the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty, which bans the use of intermediate-range missiles outright.
  • 1990: 10 minutes to midnightEastern European countries gain independence from the Soviet Union, following the fall of Berlin Wall in late 1989.
  • 1991: 17 minutes to midnightCold War ends. The United States and Russia make significant reductions to respective nuclear arsenals.
  • 1995: 14 minutes to midnightConcern over possible Russian resurgence grows, slowing nuclear rollback efforts.
  • 1998: 9 minutes to midnightIndia and Pakistan stage back-to-back nuclear weapons tests.
  • 2002: 7 minutes to midnightWorry of nuclear terrorist attacks rise; the United States withdraws from the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty.
  • 2007: 5 minutes to midnightClimate change data present new threat to humanity; North Korea conducts nuclear testing.
  • 2010: 6 minutes to midnightStrides made toward Strategic Arms reduction Treaty between the United States and Russia; knowledge of the impact of climate change grows, but the Copenhagen Accord sets tone to slow global temperature rise.
  • 2012: 5 minutes to midnightPotential for nuclear conflict in the Middle East, Northeast Asia, and South Asia increases; technological solutions to climate change lack promise
  • 2015: 3 minutes to midnightBASstates: Unchecked climate change, global nuclear weapons modernizations, and outsized nuclear weapons arsenals pose extraordinary and undeniable threats to the continued existence of humanity.
  • 2016: 3 minutes to midnightLack of action from world leaders leaves the clock stagnant.
  • 2017: 2.5 minutes to midnightWorld leaders fail to address nuclear weapons, climate change, and rising nationalism.

Shia LaBeouf arrested

Shia LaBeouf Arrested at His Anti-Trump Protest

Shia LaBeouf has been arrested.

The "Nymphomaniac" actor was taken into custody by police following a row at his "He Will Not Divide Us" livestream anti-Donald Trump protest - which has been ongoing since the Republican took office last week - in New York on Wednesday (01.25.17) evening.

A video taken from the art installation at the Museum of the Moving Image shows the 30-year-old actor being arrested in the background of the footage.

While it is not clear exactly why Shia was arrested, an earlier video from the event showed a man approaching the actor and embracing him before shouting, "Hitler did nothing wrong".

The "Transformers" star then seemed to shove the unnamed guy before the camera panned away from the scene.

A protester told TMZ: "Shia took a hit for us. There were all these Nazis here, he came out and tried to protect us."

The protest is continuing in the absence of the actor, who is expected to be booked for misdemeanour assault.

Police have been stationed at the protest site since Monday (01.23.17).

Veteran actor Jon Voight recently described Shia"s proposed four-year protest as "treason".

The "Ray Donovan" star has been a vocal supporter of the controversial new president and singled out the "Fury" star and singer Miley Cyrus - who attended the Women"s March in Los Angeles over the weekend - for not setting a good example.

He said: "When you see the young people like Shia LaBeouf and Miley Cyrus, they have a lot of followers, young people are looking at them and what are they teaching?

"They"re teaching treason, they"re teaching going up against the government, not accepting the will of the people on this Presidency and it"s a very sad day when I see this."

Who was Bessie Coleman and why does she still matter?

Bessie COLEMAN

Bessie Coleman was the first African-American female to become a licensed pilot in 1921. Defeating gender and racial prejudice, the then 29-year-old became a symbol for millions of women of colour at a time when African Americans were still battling segregation and fighting for equal rights across the country.

On Thursday, Coleman would have been 125 years old. To mark her birthday, Google paid homage to her with a Doodle on its homepage.

Who was Bessie Coleman?

Born on January 26, 1892. in Atlanta, Texas, Coleman grew up inspired by World War I stories and the famous Wright brothers, credited with building and flying the world"s first airplane.

Despite the obvious barriers at the time, Coleman was determined to fly.

After completing high school, she was admitted to the Oklahoma Colored Agricultural and Normal University, now known as Langston University, where she spent a year before heading to Chicago in 1915.

How did Coleman become a pilot?

Coleman was rejected from American aviation schools because of the colour of her skin and her gender. She was told to attend an international aviation school in France, so spent her savings learning French and headed to Paris in 1920.

The air is the only place free from prejudices

bessie Coleman

"I knew we had no aviators, neither men nor women, and I knew the race needed to be represented along this most important line, so I thought it my duty to risk my life to learn aviation and to encourage flying among men and women of our race, who are so far behind the white race in this modern study," she famously said.

While in Paris, Coleman spent about seven months learning how to fly, and was rewarded with an international pilot"s licence in 1921 by the Federation Aeronautique Internationale.

Upon her return to the United States, Coleman became known for her extraordinary stunts and was dubbed "Queen Bess". She continued to face restrictions in the US and spoke of the difficulties, coining the phrase:"The air is the only place free from prejudices."

She passed away on April 30, 1926 in an accident during a rehearsal for a show. She was 34.

Women in the aviation industry

During the 1960s, more American women were able to enter areas that had until then been the preserve of men. In 1960, one in every 21,417 women was a pilot. In 1980, the number was one in 4,220 women. In 2010, it was one in 5,623 women.

The aviation industry today

While gender remains one layer of discrimination, African American men and women face another level of prejudice. More than 90 percent of pilots in the US are white.

In late 2016, a group of 18 African American pilots alleged a pattern of racism at United Airlines, claiming that is had an "utter lack of diversity at the management level" and systematically kept black employees from entering the managerial ranks.

Aviation worldwide

Worldwide, the aviation industry remains overwhelming male, and in most part white.

In South Africa, despite apartheid ending in 1994, only 4 percent of the 17,252 pilots in the country are black, and only 241 are black women.
