Avicii will retire after this years tour, thanking fans and his team for letting me fulfill so many of my dreams.

I will continue to speak to my fans through it, but Ive decided this 2016 run will be my last tour and last shows, he wrote in a letter on his website. Lets make them go out with a bang!One part of me can never say never, I could be back but I wont be right back.

In the letter, the DJ explained that he was driving across the United States with his friends and his team two weeks ago where he realized that I needed to make a change that Id been struggling with for a while.

My choices and career have never been driven by material things, although Im grateful for all the opportunities and comforts my success has availed me, he wrote. I know I am blessed to be able to travel all around the world and perform, but I have too little left for the life of a real person behind the artist.

Claiming his successful career has come with its hurdles, he admitted that there are a lot of things he wants to do but just doesnt have time to explore them.

Avicii, whose real name is Tim Bergling, also posted his new phone number, asking fans to bare with him: I might not be super quick to reply.

The producer had his major breakthrough with his 2011 hit, Levels, working on other songs like Wake Me Up and Hey Brother.

He released two studio albums one in 2013 and one in 2016. Avicii was ranked third on DJ Magazines annual Top 100 DJs in 2012 and 2013 and was nominated twice for a Grammy.

Avicii has residences in Las Vegas and Ibiza set up for the spring and summer, and is set to play Electric Daisy Carnival U.K. in July.
